Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 398: Chapter 290: A Huge Wave of Chaos Blind Boxes Is Coming

”The Yin Iron Beasts are strong?”

Tie Suifeng asked. At the same time, he reached out and pointed at a Yin Thorn Grass in front of him, a green ray of light shooting from his fingertip.

When the green light landed on the Yin Thorn Grass, it revealed a strange power. The plant immediately began to melt as if it were snow under a scorching sun, sizzling and emitting black smoke.

In the span of just two breaths, the Yin Thorn Grass had turned into a puddle of black liquid.

Yin Kui glanced at Tie Suifeng and said, ”The Yin Iron Beasts are generally around level eighty. Their bodies are as hard as iron, they’re incredibly strong, and they’re very difficult to kill!”

”They’re just level-eighty mobs!”

But Tie Suifeng just laughed. ”Brother Golden Lion, you sure know a lot. But we just entered the Secret Realm. You can’t be scared off by a field of grass! If you’re worried about getting hit by poisonous thorns and can’t walk on the ground, then just fly over it. Can you all fly?”

As he spoke, countless dark green motes of light emerged from Tie Suifeng’s body. The motes seemed to have a life of their own, quickly forming a pair of wings made of misty light on his back.

With a flap of those wings, Tie Suifeng’s body lifted off the ground, and he began to fly.

”Flying is our only option then!”

Yin Kui waved his sleeve, and a small, floating boat appeared before him.

Wang Yi recognized the small boat. It was a Floating Cloud Boat.

Yin Kui stepped onto the Floating Cloud Boat, flew forward about ten meters, then stopped and looked back at Wang Yi.

But Wang Yi just shook his head and said, ”What a shame!”

’He could see the basic information for the Yin Thorn Grass. This stuff counts as a high-grade material. Even though I don’t know its specific use yet, if I could gather some, it would be a great resource!’

’It’s just a pity that even though there’s so much of it, this isn’t the right time or place to be gathering it.’

Wang Yi felt a twinge of regret, but then a thought crossed his mind, and clouds and mist appeared at his feet.

He rose up, riding the clouds!

This was one of the Minor Divine Techniques from the Great Grade Celestial Immortal Divine Techniques.

Yin Kui’s eyes lit up. ”Oh? You can fly too? Not bad! I was just about to offer you a ride on my Floating Cloud Boat!”

Wang Yi said, ”It’s just Tengyun and Riding the Mist. A Minor Magic, nothing special!”

The three of them continued forward. After traveling about five li, a distant mountain suddenly exploded. It was as if a cannonball had detonated—the peak instantly shattered, sending rubble flying into the sky. The palace on the summit ceased to exist in a flash, and the clouds circling it were blasted away.

The ground trembled. A powerful shockwave tore across the earth, and a moment later, a deafening BOOM reached the ears of Wang Yi and the others, accompanied by a powerful, gale-force blast.

”What’s happening up ahead?”

Yin Kui was shocked, but instead of slowing down, he sped up.

”Is someone fighting over there?”

Tie Suifeng’s speed also clearly increased.

Riding his clouds, Wang Yi’s speed was no slower than the other two.

Soon, a massive number of pitch-black Giant Beasts came charging from the direction of the crumbling mountain, appearing in Wang Yi’s field of vision. Some resembled tigers, some elephants, some oxen, some bears, and so on.

The scene was like a stampede of a hundred beasts descending a mountain, kicking up clouds of dust as they charged rampantly across the ground.

But what truly shook Wang Yi was that every single one of those Giant Beasts was carrying a Treasure Chest on its back!

”It’s the Yin Iron Beasts!” Yin Kui exclaimed. ”There are so many of them! This could be tricky. We need to get away, fast!”

With that, he piloted his Floating Cloud Boat to a higher altitude.

But a look of delight appeared on Tie Suifeng’s face. ”This is a huge wave of Treasure Chests coming our way! What’s there to fear? Kill them and take the loot!”

He actually charged head-on toward the stampeding herd of beasts.

Wang Yi also headed toward the herd, his eyes burning with intensity. ’This scene... it probably means a huge number of Chaos Blind Boxes have appeared,’ he thought.

Soon, Tie Suifeng confronted a Yin Iron Beast as large as a tank.

The Yin Iron Beast resembled a rhinoceros and was level 105!

Tie Suifeng shouted, ”Chaos Magic, Six-winged Flying Dragon!”

As he yelled, he had already cast the Magic. Green light erupted from his hands, and as he rubbed them together, a Giant Dragon formed from a misty green light appeared.

The Giant Dragon was only two meters long at first, but in the blink of an eye, it grew to over thirty meters. It had six wings. It faced the Yin Iron Beast below and then, head-to-head, slammed viciously into it.

BOOM.

The massive Yin Iron Beast was actually knocked over. Its body rolled several times on the ground, flattening a huge number of Yin Thorn Grasses, before finally ending up with its four hooves in the air.

The green-light Giant Dragon dissipated, but a large amount of green light bored into the Yin Iron Beast’s body, causing it to tremble violently. In moments, its flesh and skin melted away, revealing its skeleton, which then also began to melt.

In the span of just three to five breaths, the tank-sized, level 105 Yin Iron Beast had turned into a pool of black water, and the Treasure Chest on its back fell to the ground.

Tie Suifeng swooped past on his wings, quickly opened the Treasure Chest, and pulled out two items.

”A Gold Card and a gold-colored blind box! I’ll keep the Gold Card!” As Tie Suifeng spoke, he tossed the gold-colored blind box to Wang Yi. ”Brother Xingzhe, the blind box is for you. If you get a Lord-type item, it’s yours. Anything else is mine!”

Wang Yi was overjoyed!

He wasn’t happy because Tie Suifeng had tossed him a blind box, but because the Treasure Chest dropped by the Yin Iron Beast really did contain a Chaos Blind Box.

’There are still tons of Yin Iron Beasts up ahead. If all the Treasure Chests on their backs contain Chaos Blind Boxes, doesn’t that mean a huge wave of them is coming my way? This is going to be amazing!’

Excited, Wang Yi quickly stored the gold-colored blind box and said, ”I’ll open all the blind boxes at once after we’ve dealt with these Yin Iron Beasts!”

”Fine. If your combat power isn’t up to snuff, just fly up into the sky and stay clear!”

Tie Suifeng shouted, then charged back into battle, unleashing the exact same [Chaos Magic: Six-winged Flying Dragon] to take on another Yin Iron Beast.

The Magic was indeed powerful. With just one more attack, he killed the second Yin Iron Beast.

This Yin Iron Beast also dropped a Treasure Chest. Tie Suifeng opened it and pulled out another Crystal Card and a Purple Blind Box. As before, he kept the Crystal Card for himself and tossed the Purple Blind Box to Wang Yi.

”Brother Golden Lion, aren’t you going to show us what you’ve got?”

Tie Suifeng shouted up at Yin Kui, who was standing on his Floating Cloud Boat in mid-air.

”Haha, my strength is no match for Brother Yuding’s. Oh, well! I suppose I’ll make a fool of myself!”

As Yin Kui spoke, he reached out and grabbed a Cyan Halberd from the void. He then dove down on his Floating Cloud Boat, and as he made a thrusting motion with the Great Halberd, a dragon-shaped phantom shot out from it.

The phantom shot toward a Yin Iron Beast below like a cannonball, then exploded on impact.

However, its power wasn’t very great. It could only knock the Yin Iron Beast over, not kill it.

Seeing this, Wang Yi thought to himself, ’This guy is totally slacking. He’s deliberately hiding his true strength and abilities.’

’His level is so high, yet he’s still being so secretive in front of a low-level Player. What’s the fun in that?’

Wang Yi looked down again. More and more Yin Iron Beasts were charging in, and he wasn’t willing to let a single one get away. With a thought, he retrieved a Great Wind and Cloud Banner from his Storage Realm!

This Great Wind and Cloud Banner contained Hidden Soldiers—three thousand Warriors of the Celestial Eagle Race.

Wang Yi had even more Wind and Cloud Banners in his Chaos Realm; he had prepared them specifically before descending into the Mad Secret Realm.

However, when Wang Yi tried to use the Great Wind and Cloud Banner, he received a system notification: ”Ding! Special region. This item cannot be used!”

”Can’t bring in troops?”

Wang Yi wasn’t surprised, nor did he care. With another thought, six Qiankun Universe Blades appeared around him.

”Kill!”

Wang Yi let out a short cry. The six Qiankun Universe Blades shot out. Instead of immediately dispersing into Starlight Flying Swords, they flew like long spears, piercing into the bodies of the Yin Iron Beasts before releasing the Starlight Flying Swords from within.

CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG...

The sound of metal striking metal rang out. The Starlight Flying Swords were as sharp and invincible as ever; slaying the Yin Iron Beasts was no problem at all.

His attack immediately drew the attention of both Tie Suifeng and Yin Kui.

But Wang Yi didn’t care. The most important thing right now was to collect the Chaos Blind Boxes as quickly as possible!
