Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 397: Chapter 290: A Large Wave of Chaos Blind Boxes is Coming

”This is the Mad God Secret Realm... the first floor!”

Wang Yi remained impassive, carefully observing his surroundings. Behind the Broken Square stood a dilapidated palace. It was completely open from front to back, with a large hole over ten meters in diameter in its center, as if something massive had punched right through it.

Yin Kui and Tie Suifeng had also clearly just entered the Mad God Secret Realm. The two were sizing each other up.

After a moment, Yin Kui was the first to speak. With a smile on his face, he cupped his fist to Wang Yi and Tie Suifeng. ”Hello, you two. My name is Golden Lion. I’m a Level 110 Shapeshifter. This is my first time on an arrival mission, so please look out for me!”

Hearing this, Wang Yi thought to himself, ’This guy is full of lies. He must have a way to hide his identity and is confident no one can see through it. Too bad for him, I have the Insight Divine Techniques and can see right through his facade.’

Tie Suifeng, his face cold, also cupped his fist. ”I am Jade Cauldron, a Level 120 Elemental Mage. It’s my first arrival mission as well. Why don’t we form a team and watch each other’s backs?”

’Another one spouting shameless lies,’ Wang Yi thought.

’Does this Tie Suifeng also have a way to hide his information? There are so few honest people these days!’

Wang Yi, however, also returned the gesture by cupping his fist. ”Traveler. Chaos Lord.”

His current identity was a fabrication, publicly displayed. He figured the other two could see it.

”Chaos Lords are difficult to build up in terms of combat power. Brother Traveler, you’re not at an advantage coming to this Secret Realm!”

Yin Kui looked at Wang Yi, a smile still on his face, not doubting his identity in the slightest.

Wang Yi said, ”I just came to broaden my horizons! I’m not expecting to gain much of anything.”

Tie Suifeng said, ”Traveler, you don’t have a level yet, and your territory hasn’t been promoted to a Royal Court, but you were still able to come here. You must be a Lord who has already entered the Starry Sky. Your strength shouldn’t be weak!”

Yin Kui added, ”Meeting like this is fate. Why don’t the three of us travel together? We can watch each other’s backs when it counts!”

Wang Yi said, ”I’m a Chaos Lord. My combat power isn’t high. You don’t mind?”

”No problem!” Tie Suifeng said. ”A Chaos Lord who can open Chaos Blind Boxes is very useful. As we explore further, we’ll probably come across a lot of them. We can have Brother Traveler open them, and the three of us can split the items based on our contributions!”

Yin Kui said, ”Great! I agree!”

Wang Yi said, ”Brother Yuding, from the way you speak, you seem to know something about this Secret Realm!”

Tie Suifeng nodded. ”This is an Ancient Secret Realm, hiding countless Secret Treasures. A peculiar Sealing Law exists in its center, and there are even places the System Power cannot reach. Even the great figures of the Starry Sky might descend upon this Secret Realm!”

”Even great figures of the Starry Sky might come?” Yin Kui asked. ”What level are they?”

”Level 300 and up!” Tie Suifeng said. ”There should already be big shots over Level 300 who have entered this Secret Realm.”

”Level 300 and up! That’s terrifying. When will I ever get to Level 300!”

Yin Kui put on a worried expression.

Wang Yi mused, ’This guy’s acting is really good. He must enjoy playing the pig to eat the tiger. He’s already over Level 400 and he’s still pretending to be a newbie. Who knows what he’s really thinking.’

”Time is precious. There are already Players ahead of us, and more newcomers will surely arrive behind us. We should hurry and explore forward!” Tie Suifeng said. ”I have the highest level, so follow my lead for now!”

”Alright!” Wang Yi cupped his fist in response. ”Please, lead the way!”

”Mm!”

Tie Suifeng grunted in acknowledgement and strode forward.

Yin Kui chuckled and immediately followed.

’This Yin Kui probably doesn’t know that his Mingyu Divine Lord is also in this Secret Realm!’

Wang Yi thought to himself as he, too, followed along.

’Having these two take the lead seems pretty good, actually.’

Just then, Wang Yi noticed a sword on Tie Suifeng’s back.

He recognized that sword. It was the S-Class Secret Treasure from the Chaotic World Royal Court, the [Dragon Roar Sword]!

It was a Royal Court Treasure!

Wang Yi was the first Player to enter the Chaotic World Royal Court. He had inspected all 333 Secret Treasures within it.

However, his final choices were the B-Class [Luck Blind Box] and the A-Class [Heart of Ecology].

But the Chaotic World Royal Court also contained three S-Class Secret Treasures of the highest rank: the [Light of Technology], the [Mist Castle], and the [Dragon Roar Sword].

The first two were even World Secret Treasures, while the [Dragon Roar Sword] was a pure combat weapon that came with the [Celestial Dragon Eight Sounds]!

’The Light of Technology fell into the hands of Chief Manda of Valon World, and the Dragon Roar Sword is held by this Tie Suifeng. I wonder which territory ended up with the Mist Castle...’

Wang Yi mused silently. He dared not underestimate Yin Kui, the Level 401 Venerable Jiaolong, nor could he look down on Tie Suifeng, who possessed the Dragon Roar Sword.

A short while later, the three of them passed through the broken grand hall.

The hall had clearly been explored already. It was a complete mess inside, with nothing of value left.

Beyond the hall lay a barren, wild grassland. The ground was covered by an unknown type of plant. It was withered and yellow, resembling a cactus, with thick leaves covered in sharp thorns.

In the distance was a great mountain. Its peak shimmered with golden light, and colorful clouds gathered around it. A palace could be vaguely seen standing on the summit.

”Next, we should head for that mountain!” Tie Suifeng said, gazing at the distant peak. ”According to the information I have, the palace on that mountain should be a ruin of the Ancient Gods. There are bound to be treasures inside, though it might have already been picked clean. Let’s head over, quickly!”

Yin Kui, however, stopped in his tracks. He stared at the ground and said, ”Hold on. This is Yin Thorn Grass!”

Tie Suifeng looked down and asked, ”What about Yin Thorn Grass?”

Yin Kui’s expression grew grim. ”This grass is as hard as iron and grows in places with dense yin-evil and metallic energy. Its thorns carry a yin-corroding poison, but it’s the favorite food of the Yin Iron Beast. With so much Yin Thorn Grass here, there must be a large number of Yin Iron Beasts!”
