The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 665- The Formation Of The Dawnbringers (3)

Kevin’s fighting style was pure chaos.

Wild and unpredictable.

One moment he used the elegant swordsmanship of Temple of Light’s holy knights.

The next moment he switched to brutal swordsmanship that seemed suitable for axe wielders or other heavy weapons.

That was not all. Kevin’s erratic style incorporated all the sword techniques he had seen so far.

Blended with his mastery over [One with the Sword], it left no opening to take advantage of.

In their own way, they seemed like Kevin’s own unique style.

The poor Elite Knight looked visibly confused.

”Why does this brat know so many styles?!”

It needs to be mentioned that just knowing multiple sword styles did not make anyone more powerful.

No, when it came to knights of their level, numbers meant nothing.

It was quality that mattered.

Whoever had greater proficiency and mastery over their sword style often won the battle.

As such, simply unleashing different sword styles without actually mastering them should pose no threat to an Elite Knight.

Yet contrary to expectation, these erratic sword styles, the numerous sword techniques, were just unleashed. They were mastered.

The boy had a terrifying talent in swordsmanship.

Furthermore, there was that unknown ability capable of nullifying all skills.

CLANG!

The giant crimson blade smashed downward with terrifying force.

Although his skill was nullified, the Elite Knight still managed to block it.

Only for Kevin to suddenly spin mid-motion and unleash an entirely different sword form.

The transition was so erratic it gave people headaches.

And Kevin wasn’t even alone.

On another side, Rolan moved like flowing light.

After experiencing the trial in the Island of Exile, his mastery over [One With the Sword] and the holy skills in his arsenal had almost reached perfection.

Holy energy coated his blade beautifully. He unleashed the Holy Blade Arts one after another.

Every strike was smooth and natural.

The Elite Knight blocked one attack only to suddenly realize Rolan’s next strike was already waiting there.

Then there was Gwen, the noble girl.

She was another freak with unparalleled talent in mastering her skills.

Cold mist spread across the arena.

Her icy blue sword danced gracefully through the battlefield.

Sharp, precise, and deadly.

Every swing carried freezing mana capable of slowing movements little by little.

The battlefield itself was slowly turning into her domain.

The Elite Knight’s expression became increasingly serious.

Kevin, Rolan, Gwen were all prodigies that needed his serious attention.

But the real monster was Vengeance.

Like a frenzied beast, he charged forward with a speed that left a booming noise behind.

His swordsmanship lacked elegance.

It was savage, violent, and overwhelming.

Every swing felt absurdly heavy.

Even the Elite Knight’s arms trembled slightly each time they clashed.

”What kind of strength is this?!”

The proctor’s eyes widened.

This fellow clearly mastered [One with the Sword] and [Heart of the Sword]. It made his violent assault unpredictable and potent.

A level 7 monster like Vengeance needed to be taken seriously.

However, he wasn’t the only level 7 monster in this group.

There was also this woman with orange hair, swinging a hammer larger than herself.

The massive hammer in her hands looked utterly ridiculous paired with her beautiful appearance.

Yet the pressure it gave off was monstrous.

Needless to say, the hammer was none other than Tolivar’s legacy. The weapon that could even match a holy sword, the Hammer of Resolve.

The moment she took action, forget about the Elite Knight acting as their proctor. Even some Extreme Knights were forced to pay more attention to her.

BOOOOM!

Delicia swung the hammer.

It was just a casual swing. However, it led the Elite Knight to abandon all thoughts about blocking it and dodge sideways miserably to avoid contact.

Seeing the hammer miss its mark and slam onto the ground, causing the entire fortress to shake, the Elite Knight gulped.

Had he not avoided that attack, forget about continuing the test. If he had not died, he would have been severely injured.

What terrified him even more was that Delicia clearly wasn’t fully used to the weapon yet.

Every strike looked slightly awkward.

Unrefined, yet absurdly powerful.

It felt less like fighting a knight and more like standing before a rampaging beast.

Looking around at all the participants, the Elite Knight smiled wryly.

Why was his luck so bad.

Out of all people, he had to face this bunch of monsters. None of whom were easy to handle.

The only saving grace for him in this match was that every single individual was doing their own thing. Without consciously trying to cooperate.

From the observation platform above, Brutus burst into loud laughter.

”Hahaha! Reinhardt, you really gathered a terrifying bunch of monsters!”

Nearby, the onlooking heroes silently nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Stark stared blankly at Kevin’s arena.

His own flashy performance suddenly felt very normal.

When even the observing Heroes were impressed, there was hardly any need to continue the first test.

The judges announced the result. Just like that, Kevin and the squad passed the first test.

Stark’s group also passed.

Naturally, Stark and his companions also performed excellently.

In fact, compared to ordinary knights, their results were outstanding.

Unfortunately for them, Kevin’s group competed with them at the same time.

The sheer absurdity displayed by the Temple of Light members drowned out almost everyone else’s performance.

Many people were still talking about their awe-inspiring performance.

Soon after, the second test began.

The Trial of Courage.

Massive steel cages were wheeled into the arena.

The atmosphere immediately changed.

The noisy crowd slowly quieted down.

Even experienced knights grew serious.

Because the second test was no joke.

Inside those cages were demons.

CLANG!

The thick locks opened. Low-ranking demons emerged one after another.

Their nightmarish bodies and crimson eyes exuded great malice.

After them, like nobles, walked out several mid-ranking demons.

With just their presence, the air became heavier.

Demonic energy pervaded the place. It made it suffocating.

”Hahaha... Finally, I am free. Humansss... I am going to rip open your stomachs and drink your blood.”

Another demon laughed eerily.

”I wonder how loudly your bones scream when crushed.”

”Hehehehe...”

”Your fear smells delicious...”

What heavy killing intent.

Many young knights taking the exam paled in fright.

As for Kevin’s group, they remained completely unbothered.

In fact, Vengeance looked annoyed.

”OI.”

His rough voice exploded through the arena.

The demons froze slightly.

Vengeance cracked his neck slowly before glaring at them with a face even demons would fear.

”You bastards, you dare glare at me? Want me to gouge your eyes out?”

His eyes narrowed dangerously.

Silence.

The demons visibly stiffened.

Vengeance already possessed an extremely intimidating appearance to begin with.

Violent looking and coupled with his ruffian-like aura, he looked more like a demon than the actual demons.

The others were no less intimidating.

Kevin casually rested [Tiamat] on his shoulder. He exuded red dragon aura as easily as breathing.

Gwen silently looked at the demons with cold eyes.

Rolan smiled lightly while releasing a sharp sword aura.

Delicia slowly tightened her grip around her giant hammer.

The demons suddenly felt an overwhelming pressure pressing down on them.

They realized this wasn’t a group of prey. But rather a pack of monsters wearing human skin.

Then in front of the surprised eyes of the onlookers, an astonishing scene occurred.

The demons, ruthless to the extreme, who drank and practically bathed in blood, huddled together.

They slowly and obediently went back inside their cages. Locking themselves back inside.

Within moments, the demons that had emerged confidently moments ago practically crawled back into their cages themselves.

The scene was so baffling that the observing knights stared blankly.

What kind of nonsense was this?

The Trial of Courage? What a joke.

For Kevin’s group, it felt more like a casual stroll through a garden.

After surviving Medusa’s petrifying gaze in the Island of Exile and having faced Heavenly Kings and Demon Generals in their journey with the Temple of Light, these Mid-Ranking Demons felt more like noisy house cats compared to lions.

Above the arena, several Heroes exchanged strange expressions.

They had seen knights defeating and even killing the demons before.

But never during the test had they seen the demons losing heart so thoroughly like this.

Although there was no battle, the simple coercion of their aura was enough to tell others that this group of monsters feared nothing.

Needless to say, they passed the second test. The Trial of Courage with flying colors.

”Hahahaha! Those brats scared the demons back into prison!”

Brutus burst into loud laughter.

Even Reinhardt felt pleased after that display.

This group of individuals had come a long way.

Meanwhile Kevin looked at Vengeance and remarked.

”Senior Vengeance, you really need to visit a saloon. You look so scary that no girl will...”

BANG. Before he could say further, a fist slammed onto his head.

”Your tongue has become sharp, brat. Did Rolan teach you all that?”

Feeling the killing intent, Rolan, who was innocent, hurriedly shook his head.
