Chapter 661- Gathering of the Strongest

”We support the Allied Knight Order!”

”We stand with this decision!”

”The Kingdom of Rune supports this as well.”

Jerrel, amongst the rulers, smiled at Reinhardt and raised his hand.

And just like that, an unbelievable scene occurred.

For the first time in history, all the nations in Valdonia agreed on a single matter without any voice of dissent.

Looking at this scene, the Queen of Solaris smiled.

Her radiant beauty at this moment would have mesmerized countless souls.

Fortunately, she had a veil on.

Then with a voice that echoed through the hall, she stated.

”I hereby declare the creation of the Allied Knight Order.”

At that instant, the hall erupted in cheers and excitement.

How long had it been that humanity had seen true hope?

They had been living under the threat of demons ever since ancient times.

While kingdoms that had at least one Hero were relatively less worried, smaller nations were constantly besieged by demon attacks large or small.

The momentum brought by the approval for creation of the Allied Knight Order was like a high tide.

There was no stopping it now.

Humanity was ready to gamble everything for the upcoming expedition.

A storm of voices filled the grand hall.

Smiles spread across faces that had been tense just moments ago.

For the first time, humanity was not reacting.

It was preparing to fight back.

While the excitement of the crowd continued to surge, on the round table, the King of Drakmore suddenly frowned.

”Wait, we seemed to have made an oversight.”

At those words, the kings and queens of other nations turned towards him.

”Now that we have all agreed on the creation of the Allied Knight Order, what do we call it? Has anyone of you thought about it?”

The rulers frowned.

Indeed, they seemed to have forgotten about this part.

After a little confusion, the rulers suggested various names for the Allied Knight Order.

However, since the order carried great significance and a turning point for humanity, they were unable to decide on one.

None of the names suggested carried enough weight or felt right.

While the rulers were deliberating intensely, the Arch Queen of Vesperia crossed her long slender legs and came up with a solution.

Her beautiful eyes landed on Reinhardt as she spoke gracefully.

”Naming the Allied Knight Order is a matter of great significance. Why not give this honor to the Divine Paladin?”

With the Arch Queen of Vesperia advocating for him, the eyes of the rulers fell on the tall handsome knight once again.

”Since he is the one who led this summit and has contributed greatly for mankind, it is only natural for him to be given this great honor.”

Indeed, what she said made sense.

In a way, it could be said that this summit convened due to him.

Not only did he have the full support of Solaris, his accomplishments spoke for themselves.

All eyes rested on Reinhardt. The grand hall became silent once again.

Everyone was awaiting his answer.

The knight in question did not shirk away. He closed his eyes in contemplation.

After weighing it in his mind, he opened his eyes again and stated the name that would henceforth become the strongest knight order in Valdonia.

”Dawnbringer.”

The word echoed through the hall.

The rulers and everyone present in the hall repeated that name softly in their heads. Mulling over the meaning it signified.

Reinhardt’s golden eyes swept across the gathered nations. He explained the meaning behind the name.

”The Allied Knight Order is not merely an army. It is humanity’s first step toward a new age. A new dawn.”

”The world has been plunged in darkness for too long. The goal of the Allied Knight Order would be to bring light to every corner of this world.”

”Dawnbringer, huh. An appropriate name.”

The Queen of Solaris nodded her head in approval.

The name wasn’t too flashy. But it carried the right meaning and significance of their upcoming expedition.

”It symbolizes hope. Exactly what humanity needs right now.”

The Arch Queen of Vesperia also nodded.

”Haha, not bad at all.”

After her, the king of Aetherion also gave his approval.

The old king and queen of Nocturnium nodded their heads.

One by one, the other nations also liked the name.

Soon enough, the entire hall accepted it.

And thus, the Allied Knight Order officially received its name.

Dawnbringer. The spear of humanity.

The force that would march into the Tainted Lands.

After a moment of celebration, the hall fell into silence.

Now that the creation of the Allied Knight Order was approved and a fitting name had been selected, the real discussions began.

War preparations were not simple.

Supply routes, food, medicine, fortifications, communication, transportation, command structure. There were a mountain of things to consider.

Naturally, all these complex matters could not be handled in a day.

Thus, other than those important officials, most of the royal dignitaries who came along were free to roam and tour the capital.

Reinhardt also stepped away from all of it.

He lacked interest in politics and administration.

Frankly, he preferred slaying monsters over paperwork.

And besides, his main goal was to stir and lead the summit into creating the Allied Knight Order.

Now that his goal was achieved, he stayed away from most of the cumbersome things.

Of course, he couldn’t shirk responsibility from it entirely.

He would be called to the Senate House when necessary.

The summit continued for three days.

During this time, Solaris hosted the royals of the other lands.

By the end of the third day, most of the matters were finally settled.

After long deliberation, it was decided that a neutral territory in the east, at the forefront of the human and tainted lands, was chosen as the headquarters of the Allied Knight Order.

The place was not only constantly besieged by demonic attacks. But also had a powerful fortress stationed there.

It was an excellent ground for assessment.

That’s right, assessment.

Knights from all nations would head there to try out for the Allied Knight Order.

Although Reinhardt wanted all knight orders of Valdonia to participate, it did not mean that he wanted just any knights.

This was not any ordinary knight order. But humanity’s strongest spear.

What’s more, the destination they were heading for was the most dangerous place in the world.

The Tainted Lands.

A graveyard where even the ancient Heroes had fallen.

As such, only the qualified and those with potential could enter the Allied Knight Order.

The kingdoms unanimously agreed that every nation would send their knight orders there in batches for battles and trials.

Those strong enough would remain.

Those unqualified would return home and continue protecting their kingdoms.

For those returning back, it would no doubt be the greatest shame.

However, conducting such an assessment was necessary.

The Tainted Lands was no place for the weak.

Weakness would not merely cost a knight their own life. But also the lives of their comrades and doom humanity.

No one wanted a repeat of the Bloody Rain incident once again.

Thus, the assessment.

In the upcoming days, all the nations of Valdonia began to move.

Not toward peace. But toward war.

Several days later, the sound of marching hooves thundered across the plains.

Armor gleamed. Banners danced beneath the sky.

A decent sized knight order marched ahead.

At the forefront of the formation rode Reinhardt.

Behind him marched the knights of the Order of the Temple of Light.

Where were they heading?

Naturally, the neutral territory that was designated as the headquarters of the Allied Knight Order.

Before long, the place came into view.

A gigantic fortress built atop a rocky plateau.

Massive walls. Towering watchtowers.

The fort looked impenetrable.

This fortress previously belonged to a small nation named Velkris. And the knight order that once guarded it.

Now it served as the first home of humanity’s greatest military force, the Dawnbringers.

When Reinhardt entered the fort, he saw that the place was already overflowing with knights from every corner of Valdonia.

With so many powerful individuals present here, the air itself crackled with mana.

The Temple of Light were not the only elite who had arrived.

Reinhardt’s eyes swept across the fortress.

He spotted a few familiar banners.

A crimson flag fluttered like blood in the wind.

Standing beneath it was Erza Crimsonstar.

Behind her stood the feared knight order Crimson Revenants.

Nearby, a black banner bearing a silver eclipse swayed quietly.

There was no need to think. It was the banner of Dread Eclipse, led by Mordred the Black.

Then on another side he spotted Hell Marshal leading his infamous Demon Slayer order.

A group of knights marching with heavy footsteps caught his eye. Achilles Ironheart with his Bloodforged Legion, carried brutal weapons meant for war.

On the western side of the fortress, a gigantic armored man slammed his axe into the ground.

Sigurd Gallowstone, leader of Sentinel. The knights behind him wore heavy armor and marched like a living fortress.
