The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 26 - 26- Magic Knight Entrance Ceremony (3)

”Haha, I told you to jump with me back then. If you had, you wouldnʼt have to wait in the queue and run that much” Brutusʼs words caused the members of the order to make strange, disgruntled faces.

”Please donʼt be absurd, Commander. We are not a superhuman being like you who has surpassed human limits. No one other than you can jump that high with just their leg muscles while wearing such heavy armor”.

They protested. The other knights hearing from the stands, also nodded their heads in agreement.

How high were the walls of the Coliseum? Although they didnʼt measure, from their guess, it should easily cross seventy meters in height. Yet that man while decked in that heavy looking armor, jumped in from outside of the coliseum.

Talk about doing something absurd. The other Commander of the Seven Great Knight orders also narrowed their eyes, feeling somewhat incredulous.

”You are as ignorant as ever. But why did you only bring these squires with you? Where are the high ranking knights of your Order?” Reinhardt couldnʼt help but ask.

”Oh, those guys, huh. Wel,l they are out on a mission. As you know, the attacks of the demons have increased around the borders in the recent years. The Order of the Scorching Sun is currently stationed near the demon lands, fighting them off”...

”All the Flamekeepers and other high ranking knights from my order are all there. I brought these whippersnappers with me to train them” Brutus answered.

Just like the Temple of Light order, the Order of the Scorching Sun was one of the Seven Great Knight Orders. In fact, it firmly held the ranking of number one in the Seven Great Knight ranking as the strongest knight order.

Even the previous Temple of Light, with Reinhardt himself leading it, was a little lacklustre when compared to the Order of the Blazing Sun.

”Hm? Are you and me the only ones who have arrived? I donʼt see Vanessa?”.

The name he just called out was another famous name and belonged to the top three knights of this kingdom— Vanessa the Saintess.

”Well, if you two werenʼt so engrossed while talking with each other, you would have noticed me”.

Suddenly, a voice, so ethereal and pleasant to the soul that it felt like it couldnʼt belong to a human, rang out.

This was followed by thousands of petals dancing in the air, rejuvenating the place with their scent. The entire crowd stared awestruck as a couple of figures walked out of from the sea of petals.

”We meet again Reinhardt,” The beautiful figure in the lead greeted. She had long, silky violet hair, skin as fair as snow and eyes that not only radiated gentleness but also fierce strength.

She was the very vision of divine beauty and unwavering strength. Her figure was striking, a perfect balance of feminine elegance and warrior-like heroism. Her garb could only be described as a masterpiece of divine craftsmanship, blending ceremonial splendor with practicality for combat.

A gleaming white breastplate hugged her shapely yet toned frame, offering both protection and elegance. Underneath her armor, she wore a light blue robe that shimmered faintly with a holy light.

The robe split at the sides, revealing her smooth, creamy legs clad in form-fitting leggings. Her visage was so breathtaking that the entire crowd simply stood there gawking in awe at her beauty.

Who else could this divine beauty be other than the Saintess?

”Vanessa!” Reinhardt replied with a smile.

With her arrival, all three level 10 knights of the kingdom of Solaris were all gathered.

”Hmm, what are you two discussing about?”...

”Haha, nothing much, just about the recent activities of the demons,” Brutus scratched his hair, replying a little sheepishly.

”Oh right, those disgusting things. Sigh, there is not a single peaceful day with them around,” Vanessa sighed, then changed the topic to Reinhardtʼs curse.

”Oh, I heard from Bishop Anthony that you broke your curse”.

The latter nodded and gave her the same excuse as he had given to the bishop back then in the cathedral. Of course, as someone who was the leading expert when it came to curses and healing, she was much more perceptive and knowledgeable about it.

Clearly, she held her doubt about Reinhardtʼs reply,y but she did not press him.

The three of them, having gathered all together in one place after so many years, had many things to discuss with each other. However, this was the coliseum, and every participant and crowd were waiting for them to settle down before they could begin.

”Well then, Order of the Divine Radiance, and I shall go back to our seats. Let us converse again another time”...

”Yeah, you too. I hope we can find some suitable sprouts this year”...

”Well then, letʼs meet again”.

With that, the three commanders, once leading the top three knight orders of the kingdom, went back to their seating area.

.

Now that all the knight orders and their commanders were here, the Magic Knight Entrance Ceremony began with its full splendour. All seven knight commanders stood up in tandem and announced the start of the exam.

”Welcome, brave souls of Solaris, to the Knight Entrance Exam. This is a trial of strength, courage, and conviction, a hallowed tradition born from humanityʼs darkest hour. Centuries ago, when the demon hordes sought to plunge the world into chaos, it was the Knights of the Realm who rose to defend humanity and push back the tide of destruction”...

”To become one of us is to step into the ranks of humanityʼs shield, the unbreakable vanguard against evil.”

Brutus shouted, his heated gaze bearing down on all participants on the stage.

”But make no mistake—this honor does not come lightly. The path before you is fraught with hardship and danger at every turn. This is not a venture for the faint-hearted or the weak-willed. If fear grips your heart, if doubt clouds your mind, I urge you to leave now. For the Knights of the Realm have no place for cowards. We require warriors of unwavering resolve, for the battle against darkness demands nothing less” Vanessa added
