The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 2 - 2- Status Window

”Is this really me?” He spoke while looking in the mirror.

Short curly golden hair that fell onto his shoulders, a handsome face, sharp features and heterochromatic eyes. That was not all, he was tall and shapely like an athlete with compact and chiselled muscles.

”Woah, did I cross 6 foot 3?”

Currently, he was wearing light blue trousers and a shirt made for comfort. Given the way his clothes didnʼt have many folds or creases, it looked like someone was taking care of him.

”That aside, what were those words in my head? [Curse of the Demon Lord]? Is this why the body was in such a bad shape? Then what about the others”.

[Ruler of Lightʼs Eternal Vitality]

[Lord of Divine Wrathʼs Indomitable spirit]

When Reinhardt tried to focus hard on those words in his head, lines of words started appearing in front of him.

[Ruler of Lightʼs Eternal Vitality]— Description: The embodiment of boundless life energy. Effect: Grants unparalleled virility and vitality. The user can recover from any injury, poison, or affliction at an extraordinary rate. Their stamina is limitless, allowing them to fight or endure for days without rest.

Reinhardt was amazed, so this was one of the special powers he received from Dioanax. It was overpowered. What about the other?

[Lord of Divine Wrathʼs Indomitable Spirit]— Description: Boundless will that refuses to falter. Effect: The character cannot be subdued or restrained. Their willpower allows them to resist even the most powerful curses, illusions, or despair-inducing forces.

Reinhardt nodded, so this was what helped him to break the Demon Lordʼs curse. He sighed in relief, it was a good thing he asked for overpowered abilities before getting reincarnated here. To think he was already cursed by the demon lord even before appearing here, talk about ominous.

”The Demon Lord huh, itʼs like your classic cliché fantasy. Well, at least I know my end goal. Hehe, the worrisome things aside, itʼs time for the big reveal”

Reinhardt rubbed his palm in excitement. If he followed the classic pattern, this is where he is supposed to shout [Status] and a screen would appear in front of him.

Standing true to its genre, the world didnʼt disappoint him. A golden screen displaying his status window, appeared in front of him.

Woah, look at all that. Reinhardt was so amazed by his status window that he didnʼt know what to think for a while. It was true that he asked for overpowered skills but this— this was madness.

His status was broken, look at all those skills, titles and unique abilities. Each and every one of them was so amazing that Reinhardt didnʼt even know where to begin. Cheats, that would be a good term to call it.

”Although I said it myself that I need skills that would allow me to power creep the Demon Lordʼs army... but this is...Kuhahaha”

Reinhardt was not complaining, he was grateful to Dioanax for all the special abilities he gave him after all, who would complain about being overpowered. It was just that it struck him now that he was really reincarnated and met a god. Earlier he was too distracted and unresigned by the misfortune and injustice he suffered in his previous life or else given his nature there was no way he would have such an entitled tone towards a god. It was a good thing that Dioanax was a good natured god.

Reinhardt didnʼt want to imagine what would have happened otherwise.

”Phew, after all things said and done, I received an extraordinary reward. I want to try out my abilities as soon as possible but I guess I should wait until I am outside. That said, why is no one here? Given by the size and extravagance of this castle, the owner of this body should have been quite rich. So why is no one here taking care of me?”

Reinhardt coughed once before speaking in a loud voice.

[Is someone there]

Thanks to this skill [Voice of Providence], his voice was louder than he meant it to be and the entire castle shook intensely with his divine might.

[Voice of Providence]- Description: The paladinʼs voice resonates with divine authority, compelling obedience and awe. Use: Causes enemies to drop their weapons and submit to divine will. Allies are filled with unshakable resolve and gain increased strength, speed, and stamina.

THWAK... not long afterwards, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open and numerous maids walked in.

The moment they saw Reinhardt standing before them, their eyes went wide all at the same time as if they had seen a ghost. The next moment though, tears started streaking down their cheeks and they fell on the floor crying.

What was going on? Why did these women suddenly start crying after seeing him? The moment those thoughts arrived in his mind, memories and information that belonged to the body, came flooding into his mind.

Thanks to his skill [Heavenʼs Memory] he was easily able to compile all the information without breaking a sweat. As it turned out, he was a Divine Paladin from the Kingdom of Solaris and one of its only three Level Ten warriors. Furthermore, he was the sole inheritor of a duke family and the Commander of the knight order he led, the Temple of Light. The women in front of him were the maids of the Duke Arcknight family.

”My lord, you have... woken up. This is a miracle of the gods. Truly, this is the best blessing the gods could have given us”

The head maid whose name was Anastasia, wiped her tears and threw herself into his embrace. Hugging him tightly and repeatedly praising the gods.

The reason for her exaggerated reaction was simple, a few years ago in one of the crusades against the Twelve Heavenly Kings of the Demon Lord, he was severely wounded and afflicted with a powerful curse that rendered him comatose and bedridden since then.
