Chapter 2555: Chapter 2555: Her Parents Ruined Everything

The police managed to recover the recording from the CCTV in the place. It showed a woman entering the store. She talked to the person at the counter before barging into the hidden path.

Next, the scarred man and his men cornered the woman, but that woman showed no fear. She seemed to talk to the scarred man. The police assumed that the woman was demanding the necklace and the brooch, as the scarred man stated.

One of the men shot at the woman. However, the woman casually avoided the bullet. Then, the man who shot her fell to the ground. The scarred man ordered his men to shoot the woman. The police officers were shocked when they saw the scarred man and his men fall to the ground at the same time. The police officers did not see the woman’s movement at all. Even after the police officer slowed down the video, they did not see the woman do anything to make the men fall to the ground.

After that, they saw the woman enter another room and leave the place. They zoomed in on the woman’s face. The woman was quite good-looking. The police made a public announcement, asking the citizens to give the police information if they knew this woman’s picture.

The police also managed to recover some of the lost items werebeing stolen over the year. Some of the stolen items were national treasures. The police also managed to get the records of illegal sellers.

The police were quite happy with this outcome, even though they still could not find the woman. Some of the citizens came forward and reported that they had seen the woman before. However, after they investigated the claim, it turned out to be a false alarm. They tried to use the system to detect the woman, but still failed.

...

Huang Huiling was crying as she sat in the waiting cell. When she was first brought into the police station, she was brought into a room. A police officer asked to interrogate her about the stolen items. She had no choice but to confess everything. The police officer recorded everything.

Then, the police officer brought her to the cell where she saw her parents. Her parents had ruined everything. The police placed them in the same cell.

”It is all your fault.” Miao Ceifeng said after the police officer left.

”Mom, what are you talking about?” Huang Huiling asked while she was still crying.

”If you don’t steal, things like this will never happen.” Miao Ceifeng said.

Huang Huiling was speechless. Was it her fault? It was her mother’s idea to tell her to get some items from the Tang Family. She also mentioned that since the Tang Family was rich, they might not think much about the items.

So, Huang Huiling began to take some items from the Tang Family. First, they were like plates, vases and clothes. She brought the items to her parents’ house. Her parents were very happy. Then, not long after that, her parents, especially her mother, began to tell her to steal the jewellery.

Because of the pressure from her mother, she stole the necklace and the brooch when she had the chance to go and clean Ming Yue’s closet. She would see that Ming Yue had a lot of jewellery. Ming Yue would never notice if some items went missing.

”Mom, it is you who tells me to steal them. So, after being caught, you want to push all the blame to me. I know. It must be you who told Dad to sell the jewellery, right? If you don’t sell it, nothing happens.” Huang Huiling replied.

Miao Ceifeng was furious when she heard her daughter’s accusation. She charged at Huang Huiling and slapped her. She wanted to slap her daughter again.

”Help me!!!” Huang Huiling shouted.

The police officers rushed over and saw the scene.

”Hey, what are you doing? Stop this instant.” The police officer scolded Miao Ceifeng.

Miao Ceifeng released her daughter and stepped back.

”Officer, can you put me in a separate cell? I don’t want to stay here. I am afraid that my mom accidentally killed me.” Huang Huiling cried.

The police officer saw the mark on Huang Huiling’s face. He did not want Huang Huiling to have any incidents. It was better to separate them. So, Huang Huiling was placed into a separate cell from her parents.

Huang Huiling was angry at her parents. She was working fine with the Tang Family when her parents followed her to this city. Someone from their village told her parents that they spotted Huang Huiling in this city and living well.

Huang Huiling, who had not seen her parents for two years, was startled when she saw them. She was scared of her parents, especially her mother. So, when her mother ordered her to steal something from the Tang Family, she did not have the heart to disobey her mother’s order.

However, when she saw her mother in the cell, she suddenly thought her mother was not that powerful. She felt stupid to follow her mother’s order all this time. She should be braver and refuse her mother. Then, she would not have ended up in this situation.

She knew that her life had been ruined. She would never get a job like her job at the Tang Family anymore. She saw how Grandpa Tang and Ming Yue saw her when the police officer arrested her.
