Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

[VIP Chat Group]

[Wallace]: Hahahahahaha! Did Steven’s entire faith just collapse? I’ve known him for so many years, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen him make that kind of face!

[Leon]: Understandable. Getting stabbed in the back by your best bro really is the kind of pain that cuts straight to the bone.

[Lance]: Damn, why do you sound like you understand that way too well?

[Steven]:@Asher, Brother Asher, come out. We need to have a proper talk.

[Asher]: About what?

[Steven]: Do you actually know where Diancie is?

[Asher]: Guess.

[Steven]: Brother Asher, we’re good brothers! You can’t do this to me!

The video continued playing.

With Elaria leading the way, everyone successfully traveled through Hoopa’s ring and arrived in the Diamond Domain.

The moment Steven saw the sparkling pink diamond walls in front of him, he couldn’t stop himself from pressing his face against one.

His hands trembled as he touched the wall, his mouth muttering nonstop.

”This... Th-this... This is practically heaven!”

”Dad, you’re drooling.”

Ruri pulled a tissue from her pocket and handed it to him with a look of disgust.

Elaria walked up to the diamond wall and knocked on it three times.

The wall gave off a clear, bell-like chime.

Then a narrow crack opened down the middle, and a Carbink poked its head through.

The moment it saw Elaria, its whole body jolted.

It immediately turned around and hurried back inside, moving so fast that it even tripped and fell halfway there.

”Did it go get someone?”

Ruri stared in the direction the Carbink had disappeared.

”It probably went to tell Diancie.”

Elaria nodded.

”Daddy told me Diancie is the princess here. Whenever guests arrive, the Carbink always go report it to her first.”

Steven brushed the dust from his suit and straightened his collar.

”So that means I’m about to see a living Diancie?”

”Don’t fool yourself, Dad. It’s not like you’ve ever seen a dead one either.”

Ruri’s expression remained completely blank.

[Wallace]: Ruri’s combat power really has surpassed the previous generation.

[Mr. Stone]: As expected of my granddaughter! Well said! Steven spends all day making me angry. My granddaughter is finally helping me vent some of it!

[Steven]: Dad, Ruri is from a parallel world. Aren’t you getting a little too invested?

[Mr. Stone]: What? I like my granddaughter. You got a problem with that?

[Steven]: N-No...

[Leon]: The old president’s damage output is maxed out today.

[Raihan]: Steven gets roasted by his dad at home, roasted by his daughter in the parallel world, and occasionally roasted by Asher in the group chat too—what a fulfilling life.

[Wallace]: Sounds miserable at first, but when you look closer, he brought all of it on himself.

[Asher]: [Gives a thumbs-up.]

The video continued playing.

A series of perfectly synchronized footsteps came from deep within the passage.

The rhythm was so even that it sounded like a well-trained army marching in formation.

Immediately afterward, two lines of Carbink streamed out from either side of the passage.

The Carbink at the front stopped in front of Elaria and bowed to her first.

Then it turned toward Steven and Ruri, looking them up and down with a scrutinizing gaze.

”Is it checking us?”

Ruri lowered her voice.

”Maybe it’s because of how Uncle Steven was acting earlier. They might think there’s something wrong with his mental state.”

Elaria answered quietly.

”Well... I wouldn’t exactly call that a misunderstanding.”

Once the lead Carbink finished its security check, it turned around and bowed toward the depths of the passage.

The two rows of Carbink simultaneously moved aside, opening up a perfectly straight path.

At the end of the passage stood a massive gate carved from a single piece of pink diamond.

The enormous doors slowly opened, revealing the grand hall beyond.

At the very center of the hall—

Sitting atop a throne made entirely of pink diamond—

Was a Pokémon.

Diancie.

Steven’s eyes lit up the instant he saw her.

”DIANCIE——!!! I FINALLY——MMMPH!!”

Ruri lunged forward from behind and clamped a hand over her father’s mouth.

”Dad! Read the room!!”

Diancie was clearly startled by the commotion.

Her body, which had been sitting perfectly straight on the throne, shifted half an inch to the left, while her small hands instinctively tightened around the armrests.

Elaria jogged forward a few steps and waved at her.

”Diancie, do you remember me? I’m Elaria. My daddy is Asher. I came here with Hoopa before.”

Only after seeing Elaria did Diancie relax.

She slowly nodded.

”It’s been a long time, Elaria.”

[Steven]: SHE SPOKE!! A LIVING DIANCIE SPOKE!! AND HER VOICE SOUNDS THIS GOOD!! I’M MAKING THAT MY ALARM!! No, my ringtone!! No, I’m making it the entrance notification sound for my office!!

[Wallace]: Steven, can you calm down a little? I feel like the entire atmosphere of this group chat is getting dragged off course by you.

[Steven]: YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND AT ALL!! My heart nearly stopped when Diancie spoke just now!

[Leon]: I’m starting to suspect that if we put Steven in front of Diancie and left him alone, he’d immediately drop to one knee and propose.

[Steven]: I wouldn’t.

[Lance]: Really?

[Steven]: I’d ask for Diancie’s permission before proposing.

[Lorelei]: ...At least you have principles.

[Steven]: Of course! My love for Diancie is pure! Sacred! It transcends all worldly concerns!

[Phoebe]: Hey, hey, hey! How can you say something like that?! What about your wife? What about Ruri?!

[Steven]: You say that, but I don’t even know who my future wife is. Besides, what does anything I say have to do with the parallel-world me?

[Glacia]: That’s not exactly wrong. But what if you receive the memories and related rewards after this episode ends?

[Iris]: That would be great! I absolutely love Ruri!

[May]: Me too!

[Diantha]: Come to think of it, the parallel-world me should have met Steven’s wife, right? If I receive those memories afterward, I should be able to find out who she is.

[Skyla]: But Master, if you say anything before receiving those memories, wouldn’t that basically be randomly matchmaking people?

[Mr. Stone]: It doesn’t matter! Say it! Tell us anything! Miss Diantha, this old man has hardly begged anyone for anything in his life. If you know something, then please, you absolutely must tell me everything you know about Ruri! I’m willing to pay any price!

[Diantha]: O-Okay...

[Raihan]: Damn, does President Stone really want a granddaughter that badly?

[Wallace]: Can’t be helped. Steven really is just that ridiculous.

The video continued playing.

Inside the palace, Steven finally managed to break free from his daughter’s grip.

He straightened his suit and tie before taking a deep breath.

”Princess Diancie, my name is Steven. I’m the Champion of the Hoenn region, and also from Devon Corporation—”

”Get to the point.”

Ruri interrupted from beside him.

”I want to touch your diamond! Just once!!”

Diancie’s body stiffened.

Then she shrank half an inch farther back into her throne and spoke in an extremely quiet voice.

”...No.”

Steven immediately collapsed onto the floor like a Magikarp that had been dried out in the sun.

Just then, a Carbink rolled in through a side entrance of the palace.

It stopped in front of Steven and placed down a chunk of pink diamond roughly the size of a basketball.

The lead Carbink nodded toward Steven, then pointed at the chunk of diamond on the floor.

Its meaning couldn’t have been clearer—

This is our gift to you. Please stop staring at our princess. You’re seriously creeping us out.

Steven picked up the chunk of diamond.

His eyes instantly grew moist.

”Thank you——!”

He clutched it tightly in his arms, tears streaming down his face.

”I, STEVEN, CAN DIE HAPPY NOW!!”

Diancie watched Steven laugh and cry while hugging the diamond and quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

Then she turned toward Elaria, her voice returning to its previous gentle tone.

”Elaria, did you come to the Diamond Domain today because you needed something?”
