Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

While everyone was still discussing the previous scene, the video suddenly froze.

[Ding! Question time!]

[Generating random question...]

[Question: When Hoopa summoned Kyogre, which specific part of Kyogre’s body became stuck in the ring?]

[A. Left pectoral fin]

[B. Right pectoral fin]

[C. Head]

[D. Tail]

[Buzz-in will begin in thirty seconds!]

[VIP Chat Group]

[Ash]: ??? What kind of ridiculous question is this?!

[Gary]: This question alone proves that this livestream is becoming more and more inhuman. Who would randomly pay attention to something like that?!

[Iris]: Wait, wait! Everyone calm down! Let’s try to remember it together!

[Glacia]: We can probably eliminate the tail. Kyogre’s tail stayed underwater the entire time.

[Phoebe]: What about the head? I remember its head coming through first, but wasn’t it one of the fins that got stuck afterward?

[Valerie]: My, I was too busy watching Elaria wipe Hoopa’s face with that little handkerchief. The scene was so heartwarming that I didn’t pay any attention to exactly how Kyogre got stuck~

[Skyla]: Same. I was staring at Elaria’s tiny handkerchief the entire time. She was way too cute.

[Lorelei]: Then I suppose we’ll just have to rely on intuition for this one.

[Countdown: 3, 2, 1—]

[Ding! Buzz-in begins!]

A gigantic red button appeared in the center of the screen.

[Ding! Congratulations to Dawn for successfully buzzing in!]

Sinnoh region, somewhere along a forest path.

Dawn sat cross-legged on a flat rock, with Piplup crouched beside her.

Four enormous words appeared on the screen in front of them—

BUZZ-IN SUCCESSFUL!

”I got it! I got it! Piplup, did you see that?!”

Dawn was so excited she nearly sprang straight off the rock.

Piplup enthusiastically spun around once in celebration.

”All right! Calm down! This is the important part!”

Dawn took a deep breath, pressed both hands against her cheeks, and smacked them twice.

”Based on my intuition...”

”The answer is B!”

”Piplup, piplup?”

Piplup gave Dawn an extremely doubtful look.

”Relax! It’s fine, it’s fine.”

Dawn extended one finger—

And firmly pressed option A on the screen.

The screen flashed.

Then a bright-red notification appeared.

[Incorrect answer!]

[Punishment: Choose one person to photograph you for a set of ”Shimmering Sea”-themed Pokémon Contest promotional photos. The person you choose cannot refuse!]

The smile on Dawn’s face slowly froze.

”Ch-choose someone...”

”To take pictures of me?”

Piplup covered its face with its flippers.

Then it peeked through the gap with one eye, giving its Trainer a look that practically screamed—

I knew this would happen.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Dawn]: Um... I got it wrong. (Nervously pokes her fingers together.)

[May]: It’s okay, Dawn! This punishment doesn’t seem that embarrassing, right? You only have to find someone to help you take a set of promotional photos.

[Max]: Yeah. Compared with Mr. Steven street dancing, Iris imitating Mega Starmie running, and Paul dancing to ”Just Because You’re So Beautiful,” Dawn’s punishment might be the mildest one in livestream history.

[Paul]: ...Don’t mention me.

[Gary]: You’re still here?! I thought you left the group after you finished dancing last time!

[Paul]: ...

[Johanna]:@Dawn, don’t be nervous. Look at the bright side—having a professional set of promotional photos shown to the entire world would definitely be a huge boost to your popularity.

[May]: Could Master Wallace help? Your aesthetic sense is universally recognized as top-class in the Pokémon Contest world. I’m sure you’d be amazing at photography too!

[Wallace]: I could, but my photographic style doesn’t match Dawn particularly well. The final result might not bring out her best qualities.

[Max]: Master Wallace is taking this so seriously...

[Juan]: That’s because Wallace has always treated Pokémon Contests with absolute dedication. Even if he were merely helping someone take photographs, he would still consider whether their respective styles were compatible.

[Diantha]: He’s right. Photography isn’t as simple as finding someone who knows how to press the shutter button.

[Diantha]: If the photographer’s style doesn’t suit the subject, the result can actually turn out worse.

[Dawn]: Uuuugh, then what am I supposed to do?! I don’t think I know anyone who’s particularly good at photography...

[Steven]:When in doubt, choose Brother Asher!

[Wallace]: Steven, could you stop messing around for once? She’s trying to think about something serious!

[Steven]: Wallace, I may joke around a lot, but I never mess around when it comes to important matters. And I have evidence for recommending Brother Asher!

[Steven]: Have all of you forgotten the photographs Brother Asher took of Raina during her episode? Composition, lighting, timing—every single shot was excellent!

[Gary]: Now that you mention it, I do remember. A few photographs Asher took appeared briefly in the video, and the compositions really were carefully done.

[Misty]: ...The pictures he takes really are beautiful. And he can handle all kinds of different styles. There’s basically nothing he can’t make work.

[Steven]: See?! Official confirmation from Sister-in-law herself! Brother Asher’s photography skills are first-rate!

[Steven]: Dawn, what are you still hesitating for?!

[Dawn]: But... Mr. Asher and I barely know each other! Asking him out of nowhere to take an entire set of photos for me would be way too awkward, wouldn’t it?!

[Steven]: What’s awkward about it?! Brother Asher is the easiest person in the world to talk to! Besides, he’s in the group right now, isn’t he? Just @ him and ask!

[Steven]: @Asher @Asher @Asher @Asher @Asher

[Asher]: Steven, are you itching for another beating?

[Steven]: Hey, Brother Asher. The poor girl is already having such a hard time. Just help her out.

[Dawn]: Um... Mr. Asher, if it really is okay... Could I please ask you to help me take these promotional photos? I won’t ask you to do it for free! I can pay you!

[Asher]: ...No need for payment. I’m not doing anything anyway.

[Lance]:@Asher, that doesn’t sound like you. You actually agreed that easily?

[Asher]: Ahem. Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve always been a man who takes great pleasure in helping others!

[Steven]: Brother Asher truly understands the meaning of righteousness!!!

[Dawn]: Thank you so much, Mr. Asher!! I promise I’ll cooperate with everything you need!! (^▽^)
