Chapter 6421: The First Heaven Gate

Song Changsheng was inside the Immemorial Cemetery, but the area he was in was different from the area Chu Feng and the others were at.

This area was packed with powerful black aura monsters and ferocious beasts. These beasts were bloodthirsty and lacked sentience. An encounter with these beasts would lead to certain death if one were incapable of slaying them.

Surprisingly, Song Changsheng could view the situation outside the Immemorial Cemetery in this space. His eyes were locked on the Ninth Galaxy. Due to the proximity, he could clearly see the billowing black fog.

“They are cornering us.”

Others might not know why the black fog was sealing off the Ninth Galaxy, but Song Changsheng, being inside the Immemorial Galaxy, could fathom a guess.

The monsters inside the Immemorial Cemetery were extremely powerful. They were beyond the means of the present-era cultivators to deal with, and they were countless. Should they escape from the Immemorial Cemetery, given their bloodthirsty nature, it would be a massacre.

The only way out was to escape to the Ninth Galaxy.

But with the Ninth Galaxy sealed, there was nowhere to escape to. What awaited all living beings in the world of cultivation was to be torn into shreds.

Song Changsheng’s eyes turned cold.

The only way to avoid such an ending was for him to slay all the monsters in the Immemorial Cemetery. He had already found the monsters’ nest—it was located in a tombstone realm.

His eyes widened in surprise when he stepped into that eerie realm.

There were carcasses piled up wherever he looked. It were the carcasses of the ferocious beasts.

Unlike the black aura monster that attempted to escape from the gate, these ferocious beasts didn’t dissipate upon death, though they didn’t possess origin energies either. Judging from the bodies, they had only just been killed.

Song Changsheng suddenly sensed an aura. He took a step forward, and the scenery swiftly flew past him. In an instant, he arrived at somewhere completely different.

A white-robed lady stood in front of him—Tianjian Qingyuan.

Song Changsheng had already met Tianjian Qingyuan some time ago while he was exploring the Immemorial Cemetery. The latter had tried to stop him from venturing any further back then. Due to that, he knew that she was extremely powerful.

“I was wondering who could kill all those ferocious beasts,” Song Changsheng said.

That doubt was immediately answered when he saw Tianjian Qingyuan.

“I knew you’d come.”

“Are you here to stop me again?”

“It looks like we’ll have to join hands, or else a calamity might befall the world of cultivation.”

Tianjian Qingyuan glanced at a stone gate not too far away.

The stone gate was open, and it was inscribed with the portrait of an armored ferocious beast wielding a weapon. It felt like a hybrid between the black aura monster and the ferocious beasts here.

Whatever the being inscribed on the stone gate was, it looked much stronger than the black aura monsters and the ferocious beasts Song Changsheng had encountered along the way.

“The water here runs deeper than I thought.” Song Changsheng sighed.

“Mm.” Tianjian Qingyuan nodded.

“Have you entered yet?”

“Not yet.”

“I’m guessing that monster lurks in there?” Song Changsheng was referring to the portrait inscribed on the stone gate.

“If that’s all, we won’t have anything to fear. But I don’t think it’ll be that simple. I fear there may be stronger entities inside,” Tianjian Qingyuan replied.

“Indeed. We’ll be in trouble if there are immemorial beings in there,” Song Changsheng said.

He was rarely pessimistic, but it was important to remain grounded here. He was confident in his strength, but only against present-era experts. He was still lacking compared to top experts in the Ancient Era, let alone beings from the Immemorial Era.

“We might not need to enter. I have a treasure to seal this gate off,” Song Changsheng said.

“I have to enter,” Tianjian Qingyuan said.

“To sever the problem at its root?”

“I’m not the one who opened this gate. It’s the person I am looking for, and she has entered the gate.”

“Who is it?” Song Changsheng was intrigued.

Someone capable of reaching this place was bound to be extraordinary, and he was curious to know who else in the present world of cultivation was capable of such a feat.

“Have you heard of Chu Feng?” Tianjian Qingyuan asked.

“Mm,” Song Changsheng replied.

“It’s Chu Feng’s grandmother. I have promised Chu Feng to help him find his grandmother,” Tianjian Qingyuan replied as she stepped into the stone gate.

Song Changsheng followed suit.

He had come here to resolve this problem, and there was less reason to hesitate now that he knew Chu Feng’s grandmother had entered the stone gate.

Beyond the stone gate was a pitch-black space that was devoid of anything but a path. The path was wide and stretched into the horizon. Dangers lurked in this space, but opportunities were waiting to be uncovered as well.

Song Changsheng and Tianjian Qingyuan flitted down the path.

Moments later, they sensed searing heat. Taking a closer look, they spotted a charred carcass lying on the path ahead of them. From the carcass’ outline, they recognized it to be the ferocious beast inscribed on the stone gate.

Tianjian Qingyuan seemed to have sensed something, prompting her to accelerate forth.

Song Changsheng followed suit.

There were countless charred carcasses along the way, but neither of them paid them any heed. They sensed something much more important ahead.

Finally, a gate appeared in their sights.

It stood in the middle of the path, spanning a hundred meters wide but over ten thousand meters tall. Beyond the gate was a brilliant world filled with countless stars, an amazing sight that could no longer be seen in the present world of cultivation.

Concentrated natural energies seeped out from the gate. It felt like the world on the other side of the gate existed as well.

Chu Feng’s grandmother could be seen on the other side of the gate.

“That should be the real Ninth Galaxy. Could this be the Heaven Gate Chu Feng mentioned?” Song Changsheng murmured.

“Heaven Gate?” Tianjian Qingyuan was confused.

Song Changsheng quickly explained about Heaven Gate.

In the meantime, the two of them flitted up to the gate.

Tianjian Qingyuan stretched her hand forth to drag Chu Feng’s grandmother out from within.

By now, she had already learned that passing through the Heaven Gate was an amazing fortuitous encounter, but she had been tasked to bring Chu Feng’s grandmother back. However, she realized that her hand couldn’t pass through the gate at all.

It occurred to her that she was going to break her promise.
