Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1918: Chapter 1503: I’m Taking a Long Vacation!

After returning to the Linshen headquarters, Bai Xiaosheng immediately started attending back-to-back meetings with the top executives, which lasted until nine at night before he could finally rest.

Returning to his residence, Bai Xiaosheng collapsed onto the bed, feeling very tired.

Then, he received a phone call.

A call from Wei Xuelian.

Upon hearing the content of Wei Xuelian’s phone call, Bai Xiaosheng’s tired and weary eyes suddenly lit up, and he immediately sprang up, becoming lively and spirited.

”You’re coming to see me?”

”You have a seven-day ’holiday’?”

”Did Xueqi arrange this for you?”

”It’s a reward from Sir Wei!”

Bai Xiaosheng exclaimed with surprise and joy, unable to contain himself. The fatigue of the entire day dissipated in an instant upon hearing this news, making him feel full of energy!

This is the power of love.

Knowing that Wei Xueqi negotiated with Wei Family Head to redeem seven years’ time for Wei Xuelian made Bai Xiaosheng feel a bit moved.

Even he knew that for a world-class conglomerate like the Wei Family, the benefits they gained far surpassed this. It could only be said that his brother-in-law was truly like family!

”I’m going to the airport to pick you up right now!” Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t contain his excitement and said into the phone.

When he wanted to leave, he would leave.

Until now, there weren’t many moments when Bai Xiaosheng would lose his composure like this.

”No need, I’ve figured it out; I won’t arrive until 10 a.m. tomorrow. You should just sleep soundly, we’ll meet tomorrow!” Wei Xuelian’s voice carried a deep sense of affection and longing.

”How can I possibly sleep?” Bai Xiaosheng laughed.

No matter how elevated his status or how strong his mindset, in matters of the heart, Bai Xiaosheng was still ”innocent” and passionate.

”Then just think about me until you fall asleep,” Wei Xuelian said shyly over the phone, ”I miss you! I really really miss you!”

After speaking, perhaps too shy, Wei Xuelian hung up the call.

On the other end, Wei Xuelian was indeed blushing, holding her phone with both hands, an indescribable charm about her.

Beside her, her bodyguard Liu Wudao, who seemed delicate like a woman, couldn’t help but smile knowingly.

The young lady was smitten; she was quite adorable!

At this moment, Bai Xiaosheng, holding his phone, sat on the bed grinning at the dark screen, constantly smiling like a fool.

He no longer bore the image of the domineering president who commanded the wind and clouds, traversing across Asia and Europe, and stopping the ambitions of Tengyun Yuema—now he was just a silly, infatuated young man.

After several minutes of silly smiles, Bai Xiaosheng suddenly thought of something and dialed a number directly.

He was calling Xiahou Qi.

On the other end, Xiahou Qi answered the phone with a yawn, ”I say, Xiaosheng, do you know what time it is? You call me now, I’ve been asleep, it’s been a tiring day. What do you need?”

”Elder Xia, starting tomorrow I want to take a leave of absence!” Bai Xiaosheng got straight to the point.

”Ah?” On the other end of the call, Xiahou Qi was noticeably taken aback.

In the current situation, with all industries in the starting phase and things about to heat up, the top executive Bai Xiaosheng wanted to take leave?

What was going on?!

”I need about a week off!” Before Xiahou Qi could say anything, Bai Xiaosheng continued.

”Ah!” Xiahou Qi was completely shocked.

Ordinary employees without any major event wouldn’t be able to take a week off out of nowhere.

At such a critical juncture, Bai Xiaosheng wants a week’s leave?!

Was this about to be an abdication of responsibilities?

”Can you tell me why?” Xiahou Qi restrained his amazement and asked for a reason.

Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t the kind of person who lacked responsibility; there had to be a reason!

”My girlfriend is coming!”

Bai Xiaosheng stated this reason matter-of-factly, as if it outweighed everything else.

”Your girlfriend...,” Xiahou Qi paused, suddenly understanding, ”It’s the future head of the Wei Family? Wei Xuelian!”

This time, involving the Wei Family, sharing the derived interests and establishing a connection between both parties, Xiahou Qi was in full agreement!

People must know when to give and take; doing business is the same!

In business, if one’s appetite is too large and lacks restraint, it often results in greater losses than gains, and can be difficult to manage, potentially even causing downfall!

That Bai Xiaosheng, young as he was, understood compromise was truly commendable!

Moreover, the Wei Family was a massive entity comparable to the parent company. Cooperating with them would definitely be beneficial in the long run!

Xia Houqi knew about the issues with Wei Xuelian too.

This love was destined to be extremely challenging!

For Bai Xiaosheng to win his own happiness step by step, Xia Houqi both congratulated and admired him.

To know, Wei Xuelian was the future family head of the Wei Family, which meant she barely had any personal time. Being able to come and accompany Bai Xiaosheng, with a whole week, must have been hard-fought!

”Well, early tomorrow morning, I’ll call Li Haofeng, Zheng Honghu, Xu Youruo, Chen Yucheng, and the others to my office, explain the situation to them! We’ll make time for you for one week so that you two young people can enjoy some private happiness!”

Xiahou Qi had also been young once and understood what love meant for young people.

At the same time, he was pleased Bai Xiaosheng made this decision.

In one’s lifetime, the pursuit of fame and wealth is endless, but true love comes only once, and one must grab hold of it!

”Thank you, Elder Xia, thank you!” Bai Xiaosheng expressed his gratitude.

”Why be formal with me,” Xiahou Qi chided with a smile, ”Anyway, with that girl coming over, you won’t be able to concentrate on work either.”

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled embarrassedly.

”However, for particularly important meetings, you still need to make an appearance, even if it’s just for a few minutes.” Xiahou Qi instructed.

Of course, Bai Xiaosheng agreed to this.

Hanging up the phone, Bai Xiaosheng wandered around the room, feeling that everything seemed off.

”Will this place seem cluttered?”

”This area is too dirty!”

”Ah, two leaves on this plant don’t look that lush green, must replace them!”

Bai Xiaosheng suddenly developed a cleanliness obsession, fussy as he was, wishing he could reorganize the entire place at once.

After sorting out everything in chaos, Bai Xiaosheng felt satisfied. Looking at the time, it was already midnight, and he had no sleepiness at all.

After much effort to lay in bed and turn off the lights, Bai Xiaosheng still tossed and turned, his mind full of Wei Xuelian, unable to sleep at all.

Thinking of her face, her eyes, her every smile and frown, her long hair as black as a waterfall...

Bai Xiaosheng truly felt he had never been this happy.

After all, being apart for so long, relying on phone calls, communicating online, barely suffices to ease the longing.

Eventually, unable to sleep until 2 a.m., and to ensure he could wake up early for the airport, Bai Xiaosheng asked the Red Lotus to adjust his internal hormones to promote sleep.

The night passed without word, Bai Xiaosheng dreamt beautiful dreams, the type where he nearly woke up from laughing.

The next day, it wasn’t until Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying came knocking that Bai Xiaosheng got up.

Letting the two in, Bai Xiaosheng explained the situation about Wei Xuelian while washing up.

Knowing that Wei Xuelian was coming for a whole week, they were both quite surprised.

”Since Xuelian is rarely available to come over, Xiaosheng, you must accompany her well. If we, Lei Ying and I, are in the way, we’ll go help at the company,” Lin Weiwei said with a forced smile, even her voice sounded somewhat dry.

Bai Xiaosheng was in the bathroom and didn’t see her expression, only nodding his approval.

Lei Ying couldn’t help but glance at Lin Weiwei.

Lin Weiwei looked somewhat happy, somewhat melancholy, an indescribable feeling on her face...

Affection is like this!

Lei Ying secretly sighed, having understood it only after experiencing similar feelings for Zi Yue, who opened his heart.

The commitment of Lin Weiwei towards Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t be helped by others; she had to realize it herself.

Lei Ying didn’t say anything more to Lin Weiwei.

When Bai Xiaosheng emerged, Lin Weiwei had already composed herself, but there was nothing Bai Xiaosheng could do about it.

After arranging for Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to help at the company, Bai Xiaosheng drove himself to the airport.

Every step of the way, to Bai Xiaosheng, seemed unprecedentedly beautiful.

The sky was blue. The wind was gentle, even the birds chirping sounded cheerful.

In Bai Xiaosheng’s mind, there was only one phrase, ”Xuelian is coming!”

”””
