Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1917: Chapter 1502: Wei Xuelian’s ”Holiday

Bai Xiaosheng contacted Wei Xueqi several times on the road, and the two sides exchanged details, finally finalizing the cooperation plan.

Later that day, at the Wei family’s residence, where Wei Tianhe lived, Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran were present. Wei Xueqi printed out three copies of the final version of the cooperation proposal sent by Bai Xiaosheng and detailed the final results after communicating with him to the three elders.

”Good kid, truly exceeded my expectations! Look at this, how long has it been? He managed to organize a transnational, transcontinental trade worth as much as 200 billion US Dollars!” Wei Tianhe beamed with joy, shaking the proposal in his hand, and said to Wei Changzun, ”It seems Xuelian has great vision, finding you a wonderful son-in-law!”

Wei Changzun nodded with a smile, eyes full of approval.

”Dad, aren’t you also very satisfied with Sheng?” Yue Yingran said softly with a smile from the side.

Wei Tianhe Lao Yezi’s room had many exquisite purple clay teapot sets and calligraphy and paintings, all later gifts from Bai Xiaosheng.

It must be said, that kid is quite clever, knowing to win over the elders first.

”Haha, indeed! Ever since our first meeting, I felt this kid had unlimited potential, which is why I agreed to Xuelian dating him, and agreed to him redeeming Xuelian’s Family Head tenure.” Wei Tianhe laughed.

That was a very good decision!

Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran thought so too.

They immensely valued the Wei family’s future while equally valuing Xuelian’s happiness.

The combination of both could not be better!

”Grandfather, this 200 billion US Dollar trade is just the initial cooperation volume between Sheng’s side with Zhenbei Group’s Europe branch and the Luo Family. If it develops well and grows large enough, I believe the other two sides will further increase their investments! Looking at it this way, it’s definitely worth our Wei family adding more efforts to it!” Wei Xueqi laughed, ”Not to mention, Sheng has allied with Tengyun, Beifeng, and Haoyu companies which we are all quite concerned with in Huaxia, which greatly aids our market development over there!”

Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran nodded in agreement.

”Huaxia, Huaxia!” Wei Tianhe murmured with a smile, deeply contemplative.

Wei Tianhe’s face and voice were filled with sentiments.

Having come from Huaxia, as he aged, there was always a sense of attachment to his homeland, thinking about returning to his roots, reconnecting with his ancestry.

Huaxia had been a lingering emotional knot for the elder over the past decade.

Now that the Wei family’s business is deeply rooted here, otherwise, the elder might have moved the entire family eastward.

Over these years, the burgeoning development of Huaxia brought him joy. Though the Wei family’s current business focus wasn’t on Huaxia, future plans indeed were, and the elder furitively donated hundreds of schools back home, unknown to even the Wei Family.

This time, if through cooperation with Bai Xiaosheng, they could promote the family business’s return to Huaxia, nothing would make the elder happier.

Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran knew well that their father had an indescribable attachment to Huaxia.

In their household, when children were born, the first thing they learned wasn’t English, but Mandarin!

Even they held unique sentiments towards that place.

Being able to establish connections there, to return, truly nothing could be better!

”Also, although the Luo Family didn’t reveal it, I got some information from certain channels.” Wei Xueqi continued, ”Sheng apparently saved Prince Charlie of the Aisha Royal Family and was awarded the Golden Knight Medal by Princess Aisha!”

This information from Wei Xueqi slightly startled Wei Tianhe who just came back from reminiscing.

Even Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran looked surprised.

Bai Xiaosheng saved Prince Charlie and received the Golden Knight Medal? He really had such an encounter!

Simply incredible!

”In the past decade, the Aisha Royal Family hadn’t issued a Golden Knight Medal, had they? Saved the little prince!” Wei Changzun murmured in amazement.

The security around Prince Charlie of the Aisha Royal Family was extremely tight, the chance of encountering danger and being rescued was virtually minimal.

That Bai Xiaosheng could meet such a chance was truly astonishing.

”Xueqi, have you calculated how much benefit our Wei family could gain by participating in this cooperation?” Wei Tianhe suddenly asked.

Both Wei Changzun and Yue Yingran turned their gaze to Wei Xueqi.

”Considering the current scale, initial investment is as high as 200 billion US Dollars. With a half of Zhenbei Group, a Luo Family, along with numerous Huaxia enterprises, the eventual benefit will be substantial. Taking into account our Wei family’s average value over the past twenty years for profit and non-profit combined in Europe and Huaxia,” Wei Xueqi pondered for a moment and smiled, ”my assessment is that following it through completely, we can enhance our seven years’ worth of earnings!”

Wei Changzun glanced at his son, without speaking.

Yue Yingran did the same.

Wei Xueqi’s assessment probably contained some overestimation, considering the average value over the past twenty years encapsulated a low period for the Wei family’s industry, effectively lowering the difficulty, besides the intangible benefits valuation was too subjective, not like Wei Xueqi’s usual rational thinking style.

However, since Bai Xiaosheng was redeeming their daughter’s youthful years, even though Wei Changzun and his wife were known for being fair, they still held some affection for their children.

Thus, the couple silently agreed with Wei Xueqi’s words.

Of course, ultimately, final judgment lay with the elder.

If the elder did not agree, they had nothing more to say.

What the couple could think of, how could Wei Tianhe not?

Yet, Wei Tianhe seemingly did not notice anything amiss, merely nodding as if agreeing with Wei Xueqi’s judgment.

”A seven-year gain, good! Sheng really delivered on his word, giving us such a surprise!” Wei Tianhe laughed, ”Then I shall return a surprise to him!”

Neither Wei Changzun and his wife nor Wei Xueqi understood, gazing at the elder.

Wondering what kind of ’surprise’ the elder had in store for Bai Xiaosheng.

Would the Wei family increase their investment, opening collaboration wide with Bai Xiaosheng?

However, the collaborative parts Bai Xiaosheng offered were predefined, if they proactively increased input, it might force Bai Xiaosheng to concede more collaboration, wouldn’t it?

This is something the elder wouldn’t overlook.

”Let’s give Xuelian a week off, let her have a happy time with Bai Xiaosheng. Young people, after all, shouldn’t be separated across regions without seeing each other.” Wei Tianhe chuckled.

Wei Changzun and his wife were taken aback, then exchanged smiles.

That surprise was indeed a surprise, wonderful!

Wei Xueqi also laughed, nodding.

Wei Tianhe glanced at Wei Xueqi, speaking slowly, ”Then shouldn’t you, as the older brother, express something? I think you should take over Xuelian’s tasks.”

Wei Tianhe granted his granddaughter Wei Xuelian a long vacation to quell her longing for Bai Xiaosheng, casually throwing a burden onto her brother Wei Xueqi.

Wei Xueqi froze, and then had a slight bitter smile.

Smart as he was, how could he not realize this was a slight ”penalty” from grandfather for openly favoring him?

”Alright.” Wei Xueqi nodded, accepting it.

Actually, Wei Xueqi was more of a strategist, preferring and excelling in making plans, and lacked somewhat compared to Wei Xuelian in overall control ability.

His health wasn’t too good either, long-term strain was unsustainable, but seven days should be manageable.

Fortunately, although Xuelian’s current work was busy and all-encompassing, she still was in a training period, not the Family Head, and the burden wasn’t unbearably heavy, Wei Xueqi could still manage.

”Rest assured, I will assign you some competent assistants.” Wei Changzun comforted his son with a smile.

Yue Yingran also smiled.

...

Leaving from Wei Tianhe’s, Wei Xueqi walked along the mountain stone path, overlooking the scenery, and called Wei Xuelian.

When the call connected, Wei Xueqi straightforwardly said, ”Sis, I have good news for you! Although, for me, it’s a bad one!”

In the call, Wei Xueqi told everything to Wei Xuelian, sensing the excitement in his sister and feeling much more at ease.

”Book a flight now, go see my dear brother-in-law Sheng, I will depart in two hours to cover your tasks.” Wei Xueqi didn’t forget to joke, ”Make sure my brother-in-law remembers his good brother-in-law! Also, tell him to work hard!”

”Quickly whisk away my sister!”
