Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Lana!” Eileen cried out. ”Why are you crying? Is it because of your husband...?”

”No, it has nothing to do with him.” Lana Sheffield wiped away her tears. ”Why are you here? Hasn’t filming already started? What are you still doing in Rockwellburg?”

”I made a special trip back here for something.”

”What is it?”

”It’s about Melody Monroe.”

”What does she have to do with me!” Right now, all of Lana Sheffield’s animosity was directed at Rose Shaw. She couldn’t be bothered to care about or deal with Melody Monroe.

”Think about it—Rose Shaw and Melody Monroe are in this together. Now that Rose Shaw has left Stellaris, she must be running to Melody Monroe for help! Are you just going to let her get away scot-free?”

”Besides, this will be a fatal blow to Melody Monroe! No matter who her sugar daddy is now, this will utterly destroy her reputation! Once Melody Monroe is taken down, who will Rose Shaw have left to depend on?”

”What is it?”

”I’ll take you to meet someone.”

”Who?”

”Yasmine Scott.”

”Yasmine Scott? What does this have to do with her? I thought you didn’t like her.”

Eileen Scott’s and Yasmine Scott’s grandfathers were brothers.

But Jedediah Scott’s business was extraordinarily successful, and their side of the family had never been close with Eileen’s.

Eileen Scott’s father had also done quite well for himself, having married Lana Sheffield’s maternal aunt.

However, Eileen Scott was extremely jealous of Yasmine Scott. Yasmine’s family was incredibly wealthy, and Eileen felt she could never compare.

She never expected that Yasmine Scott, of all people, would be the one to bring her such good news.

Lana Sheffield followed Eileen Scott to a restaurant, where Yasmine Scott was already waiting for them.

”Eileen, Lana.” Yasmine Scott immediately stood up to greet them.

”Long time no see,” Lana Sheffield replied as she sat down.

”Lana, I came to see you today about Melody Monroe. First, take a look at these.” She pulled a stack of photos from her purse and handed them to Lana Sheffield.

”Who is this child?” Lana Sheffield asked as she looked at the photos, discovering a picture of a little boy.

”He’s Melody Monroe’s illegitimate son.”

”Melody Monroe’s illegitimate son?!” Lana Sheffield was stunned.

’How old is Melody Monroe, anyway? This child looks to be three or four!’

”Are you sure?” Lana Sheffield asked, flipping through the photos. The ones that followed showed Melody Monroe together with the boy.

”I also have some of Melody Monroe’s records here.”

Lana Sheffield recognized them at a glance—they were prenatal checkup records.

”Some of the records have been lost, but this is more than enough proof.”

”How did you get these?” Lana Sheffield stared at the documents. ’These are definitely not forgeries!’

”That woman, Melody Monroe, is a menace! I regret ever knowing her, regret ever treating her like a friend. Not only did she try to destroy my family, she nearly killed my mother!”

”You’ve known Melody Monroe for a long time?”

”That’s right. I met her at a bar. I thought she was pretty, always surrounded by a crowd of men, and I started hanging out with her. I genuinely considered her a friend, but it turned out I was letting a wolf into my own home. She actually went after my dad!”

”She set my dad up and got pregnant. The rage nearly killed my mom, but my dad secretly hid Melody away, waiting for her to have the baby.”

”The child is your father’s?” Lana Sheffield asked immediately.

”No! After the baby was born, we did a paternity test, and the child isn’t my dad’s at all! I have no idea what scumbag she slept with to have that little bastard, all so she could try to extort my dad!”
