Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

Mia Sutton had Aya Winters as her backer, while Tiana Gable was the one Rose Shaw was heavily promoting. Though her publicity didn’t seem as aggressive as Aya’s, she was quietly building momentum.

Keith Coleman hadn’t let his guard down either and was making preparations in secret.

But from the looks of it, it wouldn’t be easy for Melody Monroe to win Best Newcomer either.

Tiana Gable walked into Rose Shaw’s office. She knew Rose and Melody Monroe were very close, so she wanted to ask Rose’s opinion on the competition for Best Newcomer.

In this business, fame and fortune were important, but longevity was hard to come by.

Rose Shaw was instructing Rachel to prepare some documents. When she saw Tiana Gable walk in, she said to Rachel, ”You can go for now. Organize these documents and bring them to me when you’re done.”

”Yes, ma’am.” Rachel tidied up the items on the desk and left.

”Rose, I happened to be free today, so I thought I’d stop by.”

”What can I do for you?”

”I’m here about the Golden Orchid Award for Best Newcomer.”

”What are your thoughts on it?” Rose Shaw asked directly.

Tiana Gable grew flustered. She was terrified of Rose Shaw, whose presence was simply overwhelming. After Melody Monroe left, Rose had given all her resources to Tiana, which was how she landed the opportunity to play a female lead. She treasured this hard-won chance.

”I heard Melody Monroe is also competing for this award...”

”It doesn’t matter who else is competing. You’re with me now, and I expect us to trust each other. The fact that you were nominated is a recognition of your talent. If you win Best Newcomer, it will be because you’ve earned it.”

Tiana had thought that since there hadn’t been much promotion for her recently, Rose didn’t want her to compete for the award.

”And one more thing you need to understand: business is business, and personal is personal. I don’t mix my work with my private relationships.”

”Rose, I’m sorry,” Tiana Gable apologized at once.

”Is there anything else?”

”No, that’s all.”

”You should take the next couple of days to rest. The company has a project in pre-production, and I’ve already spoken with the director. You’ll be playing the female lead.”

”Thank you, Rose!” Tiana Gable said immediately.

Suddenly, the office door opened, and Lana Sheffield walked in with Eileen Scott.

”Mrs. Sterling, Rose, I’ll be going now.” Tiana Gable made a swift exit.

The atmosphere in the office suddenly grew tense. Ever since Rose Shaw had become the executive president, Lana Sheffield had only visited the company twice and hadn’t interfered with its operations.

”Mrs. Sterling, is there something you need?”

”There’s been so much going on at the company lately; thank you for all your hard work. I heard from Christopher that you’ve been managing everything so capably that he’s been able to focus on helping my father with the Sheffield family’s business.”

Rose Shaw was slightly taken aback. Lana Sheffield had never treated her with such warmth before.

”Before, I held some prejudices against you because of Melody Monroe, and I hope you won’t hold it against me. Now that Melody’s gone, we’re all family. You’ve been with Christopher for over a decade; I see you as a sister.”

”Please don’t say that, Mrs. Sterling. It’s President Sterling who puts his trust in me. As for being like a sister... I wouldn’t dare presume such an honor.”

”I’ve been resting at home with my pregnancy, so I’ve had to miss a lot of my friends’ gatherings. When I get the chance, I’ll have to introduce you to my circle. And that breakup last time—with that what’s-his-name—you absolutely made the right call. You can’t marry a man like that. I mean, look at that family of his!”
