Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Rose Shaw, let go of my sister right now! How dare you lay a hand on her!” Eileen Scott immediately rushed forward, grabbing Lana Sheffield’s hand.

Rose Shaw suddenly let go. Eileen Scott, not expecting it, was still pulling hard.

Lana Sheffield stumbled backward onto the sofa. The momentum sent Eileen Scott sprawling on top of her.

”AHH!” Lana Sheffield cried out.

Eileen Scott scrambled to her feet. When she looked at Lana Sheffield’s clothes, she saw a large wet patch. Her face turned deathly pale.

”My... my stomach...”

”Mrs. Sterling, lie down right now!” Rose Shaw helped Lana Sheffield lie back and immediately called for an ambulance.

”Rose Shaw, if anything happens to my sister or the baby, you’re finished! My brother-in-law will never let you off the hook!”

Rose Shaw watched Lana Sheffield, who was wailing in agony on the sofa, her brow tightly furrowed.

The ambulance arrived at Stellaris quickly, and a paramedic immediately checked Lana Sheffield’s condition.

”Her water’s broken. Fetal heartbeat is normal. The fetus is at thirty-four-plus weeks. We can attempt delivery.”

After confirming Lana Sheffield’s condition, the medical team immediately rushed her to the hospital. Since she wasn’t full-term and the rupture was caused by external force, the situation was still very dangerous.

Rose Shaw also followed the ambulance to the hospital.

She watched as Lana Sheffield was wheeled into the operating room.

”Rose Shaw! How dare you follow us here!” Eileen Scott shouted, pointing at Rose and looking like she wanted to eat her alive.

Rose Shaw ignored Eileen Scott and dialed Christopher Sterling’s number.

Half an hour later, Lana Sheffield’s mother and brother arrived at the hospital. As soon as she saw them, Eileen Scott ran up to them, crying.

”Eileen, what happened to your sister? Wasn’t she fine? How could her water have broken? She’s not even full-term yet!”

”Auntie, it was all Rose Shaw! She got into a fight with my sister and pushed her, which is why her water broke!”

Mrs. Sheffield turned to look at Rose Shaw, her expression making it clear she wanted to eat her alive.

Jude Sheffield strode toward Rose Shaw, ready to attack, but she caught his wrist and pinned him against the wall. Mrs. Sheffield froze. ’At a time like this, she still dares to be violent!’

Just then, Christopher Sterling also arrived. Seeing Rose Shaw restraining Jude Sheffield, he immediately ordered, ”Let him go!”

Rose Shaw released him and walked over to Christopher Sterling. ”President Sterling, Mrs. Sterling came to the company to see me today. We had a verbal disagreement about casting Eileen Scott in a role. Mrs. Sterling made the first move. I only grabbed her wrist; I didn’t push her.”

”Rose Shaw, if you hadn’t been grabbing my sister’s hand and refusing to let go, how could this have happened?! I know you’ve had training—you know exactly how strong your grip is!”

”Christopher, look at her! Just look at how arrogant she is!” Mrs. Sheffield pointed at Rose Shaw, looking like she was about to march over and slap her a few times.

Suddenly, the operating room doors swung open.

”Who is the patient’s family? We need to perform an emergency C-section. Please sign the surgical consent form.”

”I am.” Christopher Sterling stepped forward, took the pen, and signed his name. ”Doctor, can I go in and be with my wife?”

”No, this is an operating room. Family members are not allowed inside.”

Rose Shaw stood some distance away, watching Christopher Sterling.

Christopher Sterling stared at the operating room doors.

Half an hour later, the operating room doors opened again. A nurse emerged, cradling a small infant wrapped in a green sterile cloth.

”It’s a boy. Mother and son are both safe and sound.”

Rose Shaw breathed a sigh of relief.

Christopher Sterling took the swaddled child, holding him somewhat awkwardly in his arms. A trace of tenderness surfaced in his eyes. This was his child. His son.
