Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Let me introduce you. This is President Sutton, Yana Sutton, of Nautilus Media. She was also the producer of my last film.”

”President Sutton, hello. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Melody Monroe said quickly.

”This is the screenwriter, Kevin Coleman, a first-class national screenwriter.”

”Hello, hello. I’ve heard so much about you. It’s a true honor to finally meet you in person; I’m delighted.”

”Melody Monroe, it’s a pleasure to meet you, too. Knowing you’re playing the Princess of Solara puts my mind at ease.”

”Thank you for your confidence in me,” Melody Monroe replied at once.

”Alright, everyone, please have a seat.”

Melody Monroe noticed after she sat down that three seats were still empty. ’Are three more people yet to arrive?’

”There’s still one heavyweight guest who hasn’t arrived. If we can get him on board, we won’t have to worry about funding.”

Hearing Director Walsh’s words, Melody Monroe grew even more curious. ’Just who is this VIP?’

”And Melody Monroe, you should know him, too.”

”I know him, too?” Melody Monroe looked puzzled. She didn’t know that many people. She thought hard but still couldn’t figure out who it could be.

Just then, the door opened.

Director Walsh broke into a smile the moment he saw the newcomer. He was about to speak, but the words caught in his throat.

Tommy stepped aside, gesturing for the man to enter. ”President Fairchild, please.”

Hearing that familiar voice, Melody Monroe shot to her feet.

Evan Fairchild walked in, his gaze landing on Melody Monroe. Seeing her dumbstruck expression, he fought the urge to tap her on the head. He’d heard Director Walsh’s hint from outside just a moment ago.

’And she still didn’t get it.’

’Who was she thinking of, then?’

”President Fairchild, please, have a seat. Tommy, you too.”

”Oh, you’re too kind. Just call me Tommy is fine.” Tommy adjusted the chair at the head of the table, inviting Evan Fairchild to sit. He then adjusted the seat next to Evan Fairchild’s and glanced toward Melody Monroe.

Director Walsh immediately took the hint. ”Melody Monroe, come, come, sit over here.”

Melody Monroe was speechless.

She shuffled over to the seat next to Evan Fairchild and sat down.

’She never would have imagined that the big shot they were waiting for was Evan Fairchild.’

”Melody Monroe, so you do know President Fairchild! I never imagined we’d actually be able to get him to come!” Director Walsh looked incredibly excited.

’With Evan Fairchild sitting right here, it was like having a human ATM!’

Their funding gap was huge. Without Stellaris’s backing, fundraising had been especially difficult. Getting a meeting with Evan Fairchild felt like a dream come true.

”H-Hello, President Fairchild.”

”Miss Monroe. We meet again.” Evan Fairchild watched Melody Monroe, noticing she kept her head down, not daring to look at him.

’He had waited so long for her to finally cut ties with Stellaris.’

’Of course, he had to give her career his full support.’

’That’s why he hadn’t told her beforehand. He wondered if seeing him here so suddenly counted as a pleasant surprise.’

”President Fairchild, hello. I’m Yana Sutton from Zenith Media. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

”Mm.”

”President Fairchild, I’m Kevin Coleman, the screenwriter.”

”Mm.”

The moment Melody Monroe looked up, her eyes met Evan Fairchild’s, and her heart began to race. ’But we’re practically strangers!’

’This is only the second time we’ve met!’

”I hear you’ve founded your own studio, Miss Monroe?”

”Yes, it’s still in the planning stages,” Melody Monroe replied softly.

”Congratulations, Miss Monroe. A young woman as beautiful and capable as you is a rare find indeed.”

At that moment, the other two women who had been ignored felt the full force of President Fairchild’s preferential treatment!

’Isn’t he supposed to be cold and aloof?’

’He seems perfectly capable of holding a conversation, doesn’t he?’
