Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

Keith Coleman looked at Rose Shaw and suddenly asked, ”About Melody terminating her contract, that woman—Xie something—didn’t give you a hard time, did she?”

”She’s not involved with company affairs anymore. I’ve already cleared the contract termination with President Sterling,” Rose Shaw explained softly.

”This is for you.” Keith Coleman took something out and placed it in front of Rose Shaw.

”What’s this?”

”Open it and see.”

Rose Shaw opened the gift box. Inside lay an e-cigarette.

”Quitting isn’t easy. And since you’re used to smoking, quitting cold turkey would be tough.”

”Thank you.” Rose Shaw accepted the gift. ”I have to run, so I’ll be leaving now.”

”Goodbye, Rose.” Melody waved at Rose Shaw.

Keith Coleman cleaned up the table. ”We can make the announcement now—that you’ve terminated your contract with Stellaris and are establishing a personal studio.”

”Okay.” Melody nodded. ”I want to set up the studio in Jansburg.”

”Jansburg is a great choice. Starfall’s headquarters is there, too. Leave all the studio arrangements to me; you don’t need to worry about a thing.”

Melody took out a card and placed it in front of Keith Coleman.

”There’s a million on this card. It’s the budget for my studio. Don’t go over it! You can only use the money I provide, understand?”

”Got it, got it!” Keith Coleman nodded.

Because the villa in Jansburg was already in her name, Melody hadn’t bought a house in Rockwellburg, so she still had some savings.

What she didn’t know was that Claire Walsh had already paid for the house in full that day, without her knowledge.

”I’m going to Jansburg tomorrow.”

”Book a ticket for me for tomorrow, too. We’ll go to Jansburg together. I want to meet with Director Walsh in person. She’s in Jansburg right now.”

”Okay.” Keith Coleman nodded.

’It really hadn’t been easy for him. He’d finally made it to the point where he could fly instead of always taking the high-speed rail.’

...

Melody posted an announcement on her personal account formally terminating her contract with Stellaris, and major media outlets immediately started reporting on it.

Her fans were ecstatic and flooded her with congratulatory messages.

Many people also began to speculate about which company Melody would sign with after leaving Stellaris. However, there were no rumors or news on that front.

Then, another announcement followed: Melody was establishing her own studio!

She hadn’t signed with any other company, which meant she would be striking out on her own from now on.

Although Melody had gained a lot of popularity with *Warm Wind*, her standing in the industry was nowhere near established. She was still just a newcomer who had gotten off to a good start.

Furthermore, she had debuted less than a year ago, making her a total rookie.

Anyone else in her position would never have dared to open their own studio.

Melody’s financial backer had not yet been publicly identified, so everyone speculated that her courage must come from having a powerful sponsor supporting her from behind the scenes.

「Fairchild Estate.」

Not only were Mr. and Mrs. Fairchild present, but Ethan and Evan Fairchild had also brought their wives to the estate to have dinner with the elderly couple.

”Just look at him! How outrageous is our third son? What’s the difference between him being back in the country and when he was abroad? He came home for one night right after he returned, and we haven’t seen him since!” Mrs. Fairchild took off her reading glasses, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

Master Fairchild, who was fiddling with the tea set nearby, glanced at her.

”You’re not getting any younger. What good will it do to work yourself into a state? He’s staying away because he’s afraid you’ll nag him about getting married again. Last time, you even tried to set him up on a blind date.”
