Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Raymond, the makeup artist is here to do your makeup,” Leah Young reminded him.

Raymond Ford immediately hid his irritable side, not wanting anyone to see him in such a pathetic state.

He absolutely couldn’t let anyone know that he was so deep in debt he couldn’t pay it back.

Otherwise, his reputation would be completely ruined!

’He had a feeling Rose Shaw wanted to shelve him.’

’To promote Melody Monroe, she wouldn’t just shelve him, she’d actively suppress him!’

He didn’t believe the Bloomwell endorsement came about because they acquired Greenleaf and took a liking to the commercial Melody Monroe had previously filmed.

’An acquisition is a huge deal. How could it happen just like that? Even if the decision was made, the planning must have started months, maybe even a year or two, in advance.’

’Perhaps Bloomwell had given the contract directly to Rose Shaw.’

’It should have been his, but the biased Rose Shaw had insisted on giving it to Melody Monroe instead.’

Raymond Ford closed his eyes, his thoughts a chaotic mess. He couldn’t find a moment of peace.

Suddenly, he frowned and his eyes snapped open. ”What is all this makeup? Where’s my own set?”

”Raymond Ford, you didn’t bring any makeup today.” The makeup artist, finding this strange, glanced at Leah Young.

Only then did Raymond Ford remember Leah Young telling him he had run out of makeup.

He quickly grabbed his bag and rummaged through it for anything usable. Aside from a few lipsticks, eyebrow pencils, and a bottle of perfume, there was nothing else.

”Raymond Ford, they’re waiting for you for the shoot. I need to get your makeup done quickly,” the makeup artist reminded him softly.

Raymond Ford suppressed his anger and sat back down.

”Leah Young, what kind of job are you doing? We’re out of makeup, and you didn’t even restock it!”

Leah Young felt a surge of indignation.

In just the last few days, Raymond Ford had already spent more than seven thousand of her money!

And that seven thousand was a private matter between the two of them.

Raymond Ford didn’t seem to make any distinction at all. To him, spending her money was no different from spending his own!

’Where was she supposed to find that kind of money for Raymond Ford to spend?!’

’And she had no idea when she would ever get that seven thousand back!’

She now felt that there was no future in working for Raymond Ford. Besides, his temper was so awful that most people couldn’t stand him.

If it weren’t for the high salary, she never would have been Raymond Ford’s assistant.

Now, even the high salary—the one and only reason for her to stay—was gone.

’Now Raymond Ford wanted her to buy more makeup. Was she supposed to pay for that out of her own pocket, too?’

Once his makeup was on, Raymond Ford’s face felt incredibly uncomfortable.

His face, covered in cheap products, felt like a mask. He had no idea how Melody Monroe could stand it.

In any case, he couldn’t stand it!

Just as he finished his makeup and straightened his clothes, his phone chimed with a notification.

Raymond Ford picked it up and glanced at it.

It was from Rhona Hughes, of all people. He immediately played the voice message.

”Raymond Ford! How could you terminate your contract with Rose Shaw? Is she really not your agent anymore?”

Raymond Ford hadn’t planned on paying Rhona Hughes any mind, but he shot up the moment he heard her words. ”Where did you hear that? That I changed agents?”

’How did this news reach Rhona Hughes’s ears so fast?’

’Rose Shaw had told him to, but he hadn’t actually gone to the company and terminated the agent contract as she’d said.’

”Raymond Ford, don’t feel bad. Rose Shaw thinks way too highly of herself. If President Sterling hadn’t given her so much power over the years, there’s no way she’d have the reputation of a ’Gold-Medal Agent’!”
