War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

Mu Yi Yi was a heaven-defying Dao cultivator and the successor of the Second Absolute, the Prophet Progeny, in the Saint Province Realms’s Seven Absolutes Sect. She was also one of Duan Ling Tian’s friends who were brought to the Divine Offering Land by Yun Qing Yan from the Yun Clan. She was later sent back to the mundane realm by Ke’er’s third uncle, Xia Jie, the Third Master of the Xia family.

However, Mu Yi Yi was sent to another mundane realm instead of the Saint Province Realm due to an accident. Similar to the others, after absorbing the Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy in a Realm of Gods, her innate talent rose. It was not long before she ascended to a Devata Realm called the Luo River Heaven.

Things went well for Mu Yi Yi even after she had ascended to a Devata Realm. She was the proud female prodigy of the Luo River Sect. The Luo River Sect was the force that the Heavenly Emperor of the Luo River Heaven belonged to. In fact, the Heavenly Emperor of the Luo River Heaven was also the Sect Leader of the Luo River Sect. This had been the tradition of the Luo River Heaven; the Heavenly Emperors were always the Sect Masters of the Luo River Sect. It was rather to the Qilin clan in the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven. The only difference was there was a slight distinction between the Qilin clan and the force at the Heavenly Palace of the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven whereas the Lu River Sect and the Heavenly Palace of the Luo River Heaven were considered one and the same.

Currently, Mu Yi Yi was a Four Phenomenon Celestial Lord; she was also the disciple of the Saint Girl of the Luo River Sect. The Saint Girl of the Luo River Sect was the biological daughter of the Heavenly Emperor of the Luo River Heaven.

When Duan Ling Tian finally met Mu Yi Yi, he could hardly recognize her.

“Junior Sister Yi Yi.”

“Senior Brother Duan.”

Mu Yi Yi was dressed in all white. Her aloofness made Duan Ling Tian feel as though she was a different person from the Mu Yi Yi he used to know. When she greeted Duan Ling Tian, her tone was indifferent. Although she was not a particularly cheerful person in the past, she was still friendly to Duan Ling Tian.

Duan Ling Tian mused inwardly, ‘It seems like time has changed her into a different person…’

“Junior Sister Yi Yi, I’m here to…” Duan Ling Tian told Mu Yi Yi about his plan to bring her away from the Luo River Heaven and that he could provide her with a better cultivation environment. Although she had changed, he believed she did not lose her innate goodness. Nevertheless, as a precaution, he did plan to let her enter his Little World. Since he did not fully trust her, he felt would be inviting trouble if he let her know about the existence of the Five Divine Elements and the Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy from the remnant of a Realm of Gods in his Little World. He could not but put his guard up after he sensed her change.

“Senior Brother Duan, who is this?” Mu Yi Yi asked after Duan Ling Tian finished speaking. She shifted her eyes to Elder Huo who was standing behind Duan Ling Tian.

“This is Elder Huo,” Duan Ling Tian said and introduced Elder Huo to Mu Yi Yi.

Elder Huo frowned slightly when he looked at Mu Yi Yi. Then, he said to Duan Ling Tian through Voice Transmission, “Young Master, I sense two soul auras in your junior sister’s body…”

Duan Ling Tian asked in confusion, “Two soul auras? What does that mean?”

“It seems like she’s possessed, but the possession isn’t complete,” Elder Huo explained.

“She’s possessed?” Duan Ling Tian narrowed his eyes. It was not the first time he had heard about possession. In fact, he had experienced it when he was in the mundane realm. His soul had traveled from Yan Huang Realm to the Saint Province Realm before entering the body of the Rebirth Martial Emperor. At that time, his soul and the Rebirth Martial Emperor’s soul had struggled for dominion over the body. Fortunately, he was not bound by the heavenly rules of the Saint Province Realm and was able to take control of the Rebirth Martial Emperor’s body. Although the Rebirth Martial Emperor’s memories slowly faded away as time passed, it helped him to build a great foundation that paved the way to where he was today.

Duan Ling Tian asked skeptically, “Isn’t it difficult to possess a celestial? It’d be difficult even for a Celestial Emperor to possess another celestial since the celestial could destroy his or her own body. Even if the possession is successful, it’s said one’s cultivation base would not advance after that. For all these reasons, no one would possess another person unless it’s absolutely necessary…”

“You’re right. What I said is just my speculation; I’m not entirely sure,” Elder Huo said.

At this time, Duan Ling Tian recalled Feng Tian Wu was the one who contacted MuYi Yi and arranged for them to meet at the entrance of the Luo River Sect. He asked, “Tian Wu, why don’t you come out?”

Feng Tian Wu seemed unwilling to leave Duan Ling Tian’s Little World. She said hesitantly, “Brother Duan, I don’t know if I’m mistaken, but Senior Sister Yi Yi seems strange. She feels like a different person from when we spoke to each other…”

Feng Tian Wu could sense something was amiss with Mu Yi Yi. She was hesitant to meet Mu Yi Yi because the current Mu Yi Yi was like a completely different person.

Duan Ling Tian studied Mu Yi Yi for a moment. He could see there was not even a trace of delight at all in her eyes at being reunited after so long. His heart sank immediately; was Mu Yi Yi really possessed?

At this time, Elder Huo said, “Young Master, I suggest we take her and leave. I can sense a weak soul aura in her body; it should be her real soul. The stronger soul doesn’t seem to have any intention of destroying her soul. Instead, it seemed like it’s trying to… make her soul submit…”

“Make her soul submit?” Duan Ling Tian frowned.

“Yes!” Elder Huo nodded. “If it could make her soul submit, it would inherit all her memories and knowledge. It would be able to complete the possession perfectly without any side effects. However, not everyone is capable of using this technique. Even among titled Celestial Emperors, very few are capable of this…” A hint of fear could be heard in Elder Huo’s voice when he spoke.

“Alright. Let’s bring her away!” Duan Ling Tian said solemnly. Physically, Mu Yi Yi seemed fine, but he knew possession was a serious matter.

Elder Huo nodded slightly. He immediately restrained Mu Yi Yi without any hesitation.

Following that, Duan Ling Tian and Elder Huo brought Mu Yi Yi away from the Luo River Sect.

The disciples of the Luo River Sect guarding the entrance were stunned when they saw Mu Yi Yi being taken away.

“Junior Sister Mu Yi Yi has been kidnapped!”

“Hurry! Inform the elders!”

“Hurry! Inform the Saint Girl! If anything happens to Junior Sister Mu Yi Yi, we’re dead!”

…

Duan Ling Tian and Elder Huo did not encounter any obstacle as they returned to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven through the Transportation Formation in the Luo River Heaven.

Now that they had returned to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven, Elder Huo released Mu Yi Yi from his restraint.

Due to the restraint, Mu Yi Yi had been unconscious the entire time. Now that she regained her consciousness, she looked at the unfamiliar surroundings in confusion. Although she did not know where she was, it was not hard to figure out Duan Ling Tian had taken her away from the Luo River Sect. “Senior Brother Duan, what are you doing?”

Duan Ling Tian did not beat around the bush and coldly asked, “Who are you? Why did you possess Junior Sister Mu Yi Yi?”

“Senior Brother Duan, what are you talking about?” Mu Yi Yi seemed stunned and confused by Duan Ling Tian’s question. However, the subtle panic that flashed in her eyes briefly did not escape Duan Ling Tian’s notice.

“Elder Huo, under such circumstances, what should we do?” Duan Ling Tian asked. He was confident Elder Huo would have a solution since Elder Huo suggested bringing Mu Yi Yi back to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven.

Sure enough, Elder Huo said, “I’ve sent a message to the Profound Soul Celestial Emperor. He should be able to help us since he specializes in soul attacks.”

Shortly afterward, a medium-build middle-aged man with dark green messy hair flew toward Duan Ling Tian and Elder Huo. His hair fluttered in the air like dark green pythons even though there was no breeze. As soon as he arrived, he bowed. “Greetings, Young Master. I’m Mo He, the Profound Soul Celestial Emperor.”

Duan Ling Tian was slightly surprised by Mo He’s hair. When he regained his senses, he hurriedly said, “Senior Mo He, Elder Huo must have told you everything, right?”

Mo He nodded as he studied Mu Yi Yi. His eyes flashed with a green light as a strong soul energy and his Divine Consciousness swept toward Mu Yi Yi.

At this moment, Mu Yi Yi could no longer remain calm. She glared at Mo He and said threateningly, ” “I don’t care who you are, but if you act recklessly, my mother will never let you get away with this! My mother is the Sect Leader of the Luo River Sect and the Heavenly Emperor of the Luo River Heaven!”

Mo He, shocked by Mu Yi Yi’s words, instantly withdrew his soul energy and Divine Consciousness before he looked at Duan Ling Tian and Elder Huo.

Duan Ling Tian sneered before he said, “So, you finally decided to come clean?”
