Emperor’s Domination

“I have little shame since I’m just passing by.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Taking a while to pass by, I see.” She said: “Remember when you were so eager to learn the tiniest bit of information on the high heaven?”

“That’s an exaggeration. I just wanted to learn more.” He shook his head.

“Is that so?” Her smile could charm anyone: “You’re truly a dog, only you can do something so rotten.”

“What now?” He shook his head.

“Not viewing yourself as a person, isn’t that despicable?” She said.

“I can’t argue with that.” He sighed and nodded.

“It’s good that you know, but worry not, you’re not the only one, the villainous heaven is the same, maybe a little bit better.” She said.

“Are you consoling or criticizing me?” He asked.

“Both, and it’s deserved.” She smiled.

“My rotten nature gave you a colorful life, the villainous heaven will do the opposite.” He touched her nose.

“The signs are coming indeed, I can see it more clearly after learning about these runes.” She sighed.

“Have you thought this might be a type of fishing? These runes are good, undoubtedly, but they are of little use for immortals. They fear tribulations and these runes are worse, so who would come here?” He asked.

“I’m here.” She admitted.

“So you’re the fish.” He said.

“Yes, but this is what I should do, garnering more knowledge.” She said.

“This is what he wants, you want to learn about the root and gain an answer, the villainous heaven is waiting for you to bite.” He said: “When the calamity comes, it will engulf you and either destroy you or recall you.”

“Why am I wanted in the case of total destruction?” She asked.

“The next cycle, of course.” He smiled.

“So I’ll be the next messenger.” She understood.

“Yes, a new one is required, and that’s you.” She said.

“Dogs.” She glared at him.

“This has nothing to do with me.” He said innocently.

“You’re the same as the villainous heaven, giving tasks to others and then recalling them without any reward.” She said.

“Don’t worry, there is not enough time for you to become the next messenger, this era is over.” He said.

“You’re fighting soon?” She asked.

“Not long from now, it’s about time.” He nodded.

“Are you sure you can destroy the villainous heaven?” She asked.

“Why would I do that?” He smiled.

“Then how can you fulfill your ambition?” She was surprised.

“I have given myself what I need in my heart, the same with the answer.” He said.

“Then why do you need to fight?” She asked.

“Needing an answer and proving it are the same thing.” He said.

“What will you do with the villainous heaven then?” She asked.

“Nothing.” He smiled.

“It appears you know something I don’t.” She said.

“I suppose since you spent most of your time doing nothing instead of learning.” He joked.

“Speak, what do you know?” She hit his thigh before glaring.

“Okay, you win.” He smiled: “Just a little guess, that’s all.”

“You know about the tribulation messenger and tribulation enforcer, is that really it?” He asked.

“I believe so.” She seemed curious: “What else can it be?”

“So that’s what you think, and that’s exactly it.” He said.

“What?” Her eyes narrowed in contemplation.

“Yes, everyone thinks and fantasizes.” He explained: “Whether it be regular beings or immortals.”

“I don’t get your point.” She said.

“They are the same.” He shrugged: “At least for the villainous heaven.”

She fell into silence upon hearing this.

“No, if that’s the case, then you would cease to exist.” She said.

“This is a real world, to remove something from existence requires actions, not just thoughts.” he said.

“Is that the point of the messenger and enforcer?” She grasped the crux of the issue.

“The heaven and earth are like an egg, no matter how large the egg is, it is still born within this confine.” He said.

“The two meanings.” She understood: “If it’s a fantasy, I want to take a look to see what is real. Let me come with you?”

“That would be difficult.” He shook his head.

“Tch, forget it then. Just a fantasy, right, whatever, I just want to trace back to the root.” She said.
