Emperor’s Domination

“What kind of answer is there for this, Sir?” He asked.

“The world belongs to its people.” Li Qiye emphasized.

“And the immortals? They can’t be gone.” He was curious.

“Regardless of any suppression, fake immortals will come out of the nine major worlds. And then we have overlords in the minor worlds. Powerful cultivators will inevitably appear.” Li Qiye said.

“Will you exert an ultimate suppression to forbid cultivation?” He asked.

“No different from our previous case regarding the light and no darkness.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Without it, overlords and immortals will reign supreme.” He said.

“Everyone needs to maintain their dao heart.” Li Qiye said.

“It’s possible at the start, but when immortals start falling later, nothing can stop them.” He said.

“Powers will return from whence they came.” Li Qiye said.

“Hmm...” He pondered before asking: “But who will be the ones recalling the powers?”

Li Qiye smiled and didn’t answer the question. He didn’t pry but knew Li Qiye had an answer.

“Sir, if I may be so bold as to ask another question.” He said.

“Go on.” Li Qiye gazed into the distance.

“You are meant to assault the heaven and take down the immortals. This path must have endured every trial, and the result implicates all living beings.” He said: “Your followers must have been tested as well.”

“You’re asking what if my followers or loved ones couldn’t endure the trials, correct?” Li Qiye confirmed.

“More than just that. We all had the ambition to conquer the heaven so we had a popular phrase, watch your back.” He said.

“Watch your back. Yes, the thrust can come from anyone.” Li Qiye nodded.

“What if it happens to you, Sir?” He asked.

“I never made such assumptions.” Li Qiye said.

“Why not?” He found this surprising.

“If I brought them here, I should have faith in them, that they will surely uphold their dao heart. I have emphasized the dao heart all along, the only way to move forward.” Li Qiye said.

“What if they still falter?” He continued.

“That’s their problem, I merely showed them the door.” Li Qiye said.

“And if they go as far as betraying you?” He asked.

“Let them, my goal is already the villainous heaven, would I mind more obstacles?” Li Qiye smiled.

“You wouldn’t feel disappointed or hatred?” He asked.

“They should be the ones to feel disappointed and hatred for failing.” Li Qiye said.

“I understand.” He sighed and said: “Your state of mind is far superior to mine. I suppose I’m just a fake immortal while you can surpass the villainous heaven. What a shame, if only I had the chance to speak with you in the past, perhaps I would have been enlightened.”

“Don’t be, after all, there wouldn’t have been this type of comprehension before reaching the celestial realm, and at the celestial realm, you wouldn’t have listened to an ant either way.” Li Qiye said.

“I suppose that was the case.” He smiled.

The two enjoyed the peace of silence while looking at the clouds. After a long time, Li Qiye said: “It’s time to go.”

“Go?” He asked.

“Don’t you want to live again? It’s time for reincarnation, without memories, of course.” Li Qiye said.

“Really?!” He became ecstatic.

“It’s a rare moment of fate, so I should do something.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Thank you, thank you, Sir!” He prostrated.

“Don’t thank me, this will be a true reincarnation, everything will be erased.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“That’s fine, I can live again!” He laughed.

“Boom!” Li Qiye raised his hand, opening a path of tribulations. Only by walking through it would one reach a new life.

There were images of a yellow river, an ocean of suffering, a gathering of souls and spirits... This could be the hell uttered in the mortal world, only available under the jurisdiction of heaven.

“Ready? Anything can happen, you might be an ordinary mortal who will suffer or be born into riches.” However, Li Qiye forcefully opened it.

“I am ready.” He took a deep breath and clenched his fists.

“Even for suffering?” Li Qiye smiled.

“As long as my dao heart prevails, I will have a life of freedom.” He laughed.

“It’s good that you’re confident. Yes, an indomitable dao heart will grant your wish. After the jump, this life will have nothing to do with you, it is but a popping bubble in a dream.” Li Qiye said.

“Time to bid farewell.” He said and glanced at this world made from his body.

He was born as a noble and became a celestial immortal. Now, it was time for him to let go of this colorful and glorious past.

“Sir, no, Great Immortal, I thank you.” He prostrated and jumped into the path, disappearing from sight.
