Emperor’s Domination

“Start.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Clank.” Xiaolou Tingxue unsheathed his saber, exuding a hymn lasting an eternity.

He finally revealed his right hand with clean, long, and slender fingers like a sculpture. This hand had never partaken in hard labor before. Holding the saber hilt might have been too much.

Attention shifted from the hand to the saber. It also looked like jade and exuded a gentle warmth. Moreover, it made spectators want to use their blood to add to this temperature.

His hand and the saber were a perfect pair. Perhaps the saber was specifically forged for him to use.

“Sanguine Blade.” Heaven’s Equal recognized the weapon.

Sanguine was a rather nice name for a weapon, not as explicit as “blood”. Given Xiaolou Tingxue’s style and clothes, everyone assumed he came from a chilling world. Was this weapon warming his cold heart throughout the years?

According to the story about how Xiaolou Tingxue listened to the flow of blood in the pavilion. The saber was certainly there, either on his thighs or on the table, adding to the poetic vision.

“What is your weapon of choice?” Tingxue asked politely.

“I suppose I should respond with courtesy by using a weapon.” Li Qiye said: “A saber.”

His saber was made of snowflakes, seemingly fragile and on the verge of melting.

Spectators couldn’t help but be taken aback. It appeared he was belittling Xiaolou Tingxue with his weapon of choice. However, since his gaze alone could kill immortals, the fact that he had a weapon was indicative of his respect.

“What is this blade?” Tingxue still asked.

“Your blade craves blood, so I’m giving it snow, let’s see if you can warm it.” Li Qiye smiled. [1]

“Very well. Blood-warmed!” He shouted and raised his saber, revealing a grand dao.

It was unique in that he was the only one with the proper mindset to use it. It didn’t look like a slash capable of killing primordial immortals or cleaving the high heaven.

A world of snow appeared around him, making everyone want to seek shelter. However, he walked alone without stopping.

This was a manifestation of his pride and perseverance - an attack using the dao heart, nothing else.

The snowflakes were as large as goose feathers and blinded the eyes. Nonetheless, he knew when to strike despite it would lead him to his death.

He journeyed all of this time across the chilling world for one purpose only - striking Li Qiye.
