Emperor’s Domination

Many kept a safe distance after seeing the gigantic crab. This was a king-level heavenly beast, versed in fighting in all terrains.

The lord let out a thunderous shout and the shovel in his hands gleamed, summoning a beast heavier than a mountain.

Strangely enough, it was shorter than a grown man. It somewhat resembled an armadillo and stood upright on two legs in a half-squatting posture; its arms hanging down at its knees. The body was covered in thick scales, looking like armor.

“Go wild!” Tides Monarch commanded. Water erupted behind the crab as it swung its pincer. A hurricane ensued, destroying the islands below.

“Flip mountains!” The lord channeled his vitality into the shovel.

His beast’s muscles bulged dramatically and brimmed with energy. It dug up hills and threw them at the crab.

The crab dealt with the barrage effortlessly, crushing all the incoming attacks.

The older lord had more experience and energy, taking advantage of Tides Monarch’s lapse in concentration.

“Boom!” The mountain-mover beast threw a hill successfully at the crab’s head, sending it to the ground and leaving a deep trench along the way.

“The older the ginger, the spicier.” Many spectators murmured.

“Tides Art!” The youth chanted a mantra, initiating loud explosions.

Halos appeared around him and flew toward the crab.

“This is his best technique!” Some shouted upon seeing this – the famous move of Sky Zenith.

The halos increased the crab’s power and speed. It could now withstand the monstrous rocks without being hurt.

The mountain-mover beast was forced back repeatedly before being sent flying while vomiting blood. The crab landed on top of it for a smash with both pincers.

The losing combatant raised both arms to block the claws. Alas, the empowered crab seemed unbeatable and battered the arms bloody.

The lord was one with his beast, so he also suffered considerable injuries.

“Rumble!” The defender was pushed into the ground; its bones creaked everywhere. Its death seemed assured if this trend continued.

“Tides Art is supreme for a reason.” An expert murmured.

Although the lord of Venerable Dragon had more energy, the art alone changed the momentum.

“His beast will die soon.” Another cultivator feared for the defender’s life.

“Dracowrath!” The lord panicked and used his legendary saber, burning his true blood in the process.

Given its origin, it unleashed a power exceeding the crowd’s imagination. They saw a light lacerating everything.

The youth became alarmed and raised his saber, summoning a tsunami to block the slash.

“Clank!” Dracowrath cut through his saber along with the crab. Its innards spilled out from its dismembered halves.

Tides Monarch fell to an island nearby. Before he could stand, he found Dracowrath positioned by his neck. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ NovᴇlFir(e).nᴇt

“So this is a divine artifact.” Spectators couldn’t believe it – a single swing decided the winner.

“Dracowrath…” This only incited more greed in everyone. Possessing the saber meant carving a place in this world for themselves.

“Is he going to do it?” Someone said. Killing Tides Monarch meant risking the wrath of Sky Zenith, primarily Emerald Grand Emperor and Tiger Ancestor.

The lord stared at Li Qiye and Xiaoyue, wanting to read their expression.

Li Qiye hasn’t paid attention at all while Xiaoyue waved dismissively: “Kill him.”

This surprised spectators since they finally noticed the duo. They thought they were just juniors watching the show.

The lord swung the saber after receiving the order. After all, this was out of his control.

“Master, save me!” Tides Monarch bellowed.
