Emperor’s Domination

“If we dissect her bloodline, separate and refine it, we can trace it back to the origin. We can isolate the gluttonous beast and draconic bloodlines. Most importantly, extract the impurities of the cosmic dragon bloodline to see what had mixed with the true dragon bloodline.” She stared at the girl: “Once we do so, the third bloodline will reveal its true nature.”

Although she spoke nonchalantly, the process would be brutal and meticulous. It went beyond researching the bloodlines. Meddling with the true dragon bloodline was taboo, risking the wrath of Divine Firmament.

However, it sounded as if she was capable of doing so.

“Please, don’t do it.” The lord has been listening since the duo didn’t mind.

He heard about the potential refinement of his daughter and was horrified. She would surely suffer unceasing agony before death.

“Immortals, please show mercy and spare my daughter for she is innocent.” He kowtowed and begged, aware of his helplessness.

“She is indeed innocent.” Li Qiye nodded while the man continued to beg: “Get up, we’re only talking.”

“Thank you, Immortal.” He knew Li Qiye was the decider.

“This is the only way to find out.” Xiaoyue said.

“I know, but it is the divine beasts’ problem, not mine. Moreover, even if it relates to me, I can use other paths to solve it.” Li Qiye waved.

“Young Noble, you care about this little life?” She asked curiously.

Although immortals, especially the primordial ones, worried about falling to the wrong path before reaching the shore. They deliberately chose not to devour lives and worlds. However, this didn’t mean they cared about lesser beings. Destroying was different than devouring.

After all, a new cycle would start from the ashes as long as it wasn’t devoured. The changing of epochs was a natural order.

This girl, regardless of whether she was a mortal or a divine beast, was still just another life. Sacrificing her to achieve a goal was not out of the question.

“You’re letting go of an easier path for her sake.” She said.

“It’s for me, not for her.” He smiled.

“Oh?” She didn’t understand.

“There are things we should and shouldn’t do.” He said: “She is an innocent life who does not stand in my way. Although there is value in killing her, why should I break my resolve? Of course, I have no problem massacring those who hinder my dao, even the strongest immortals and races.”

She knew this was not just his opinion but a warning.

“Everyone who blocks your path will be killed?” She asked.

“If they do not wish to die, yield.” He said: “Otherwise, I will erase their existence, ancient immortals and divine beasts included.”

“I will remember your words, Young Noble.” She took a deep breath and bowed.

“It’s good that you understand.” He said.

“I will not act without your permission.” She agreed not to refine the silly girl.

Although she held a prominent position in Heaven Realm, she couldn’t contend against him. Only a few beings stood a chance.

“The answer you seek might not be on her.” He said.

“Forgive me but in my opinion, she is the closest to the origin of the bloodline.” She said.

“Perhaps, and it should be tied closely to the first ones in Demon Beast Epoch. Let me ask you this, was Qing Ji the only traitor?” He said.

“Yes, Young Noble. Qing Ji is the only one in history, as far as I know.” She said: “Do you believe she is related to Qing Ji?”

“She’s certainly not born here, can Qing Ji create this lifeform?” He smiled.

“Qing Ji couldn’t do so, so where did she come from?” She said.

“Immortals, are you saying that my daughter had lived for a long time?” The lord interjected.

“Yes, but with a dormant intelligence. Most of the time, she was hibernating.” Li Qiye said.

“Young Noble, could it be Qing Ji’s summoning of beasts wasn’t for strengthening his forces?” She speculated.

“Only Qing Ji knows. Perhaps it was to forge a new power or to create something similar to Demon Beast Epoch, or…” Li Qiye said.

“Or what?” She asked.

“Or to protect her, a life from Divine Firmament. Remember, the unlikeliest possibility is often the answer.” Li Qiye stared at the girl.

“It can’t be…” She stood in a daze.
