Emperor’s Domination

“Hao Cai!” The hidden immortal was surprised to see the old man resembling a beggar.

“I see, an old friend.” The old beggar sighed: “Ever since Heaven Pit and Zhao Dachui’s death, Devouring Alliance is no longer the same. No capable leader is left.”

The hidden immortal didn’t speak, clearly wary of the old beggar.

“Devouring Alliance was fearless once, not made up of scared dogs like today.” The old beggar shook his head.

“Hmph.” The hidden immortal snorted.

Alas, this was the truth. Devouring was considered the strongest alliance in Heaven Realm once upon a time. They devoured worlds and immortals. Overlords were mere appetizers.

Their domination stopped with the emergence of Immortal Emperor Min Ren. After Mang’s death, the alliance remained strong with Zhao Dachui.

Unfortunately, the battle known as Heaven Pit ruined them. They thought they were prepared by allying with certain shored immortals.

The strongest ones also appeared – Dusk and Heavenfall. These two were rumored to be infinitely close to the high heaven.

Alas, they were crushed and had to hide in the shadows afterward.

“Hahaha, we’re still more powerful than you.” The hidden immortal said: “You’re nothing more than a servant, running from us to Heaven Assault. Genesis didn’t like you, so now, you’re working for Guardian? Pathetic hound, an embarrassment for the ancient immortals.”

“A bit pitiful indeed. I was once young and naive, and arrogant too, which is why I joined Devouring. Later on, I found that you were a bunch of fools. What a shame, going the wrong path at an early age.” The beggar smiled: “Few are alive from my generation, especially those who know my past. They were killed in Heaven Pit, so who are you?”

The hidden immortal didn’t answer, seemingly afraid of being recognized.

“Skyshroud, come on out.” The beggar said.

“No need.” The hidden immortal refused.

“You once ate primordial immortals, not a coward like this.” The beggar said.

“Still better than you, traitorous hound.” The hidden immortal retorted.

“Looks like our Heaven Realm is cursed. Strength means nothing. You are cowardly and dishonorable.” The beggar said.

“You are not any better.” The immortal said.

“Yes, but I knew when to turn back once lost.” The beggar said sentimentally.

“Time to kill.” Hatchet suggested.

The first immortal’s expression darkened: “The two of you together.”

“I don’t mind.” The beggar didn’t care for an honorable fight.

“Senior Skyshroud!” The immortal shouted.

He could fight Hatchet but not Hao Cai as well. In fact, Hao Cai alone was enough. This person was once the most brilliant cultivator in Devouring Alliance.

Alas, no one answered him.

“Don’t bother, he left already. A testament to how wretched the alliance is now.” The beggar shook his head.

The immortal staggered backward. At first, their goal was to bait an immortal from Guardian for a meal.

For some reason, immortals from Guardian were more delicious compared to the natives. Unfortunately, he became the prey instead.

“Senior Hao Cai, you stand alongside Genesis…” The immortal said.

“No need to flatter me, I’m a bastard unlike the ones from Guardian.” The beggar said: “That’s why we will two-on-one you.”

The immortal turned pale, aware of his fate.

Divine Firmament, one of the nine major worlds, remained sealed and inactive despite being one of the strongest.

Within were slumbering divine beasts of the purest bloodlines at birth. In the outside worlds, divine beasts needed cultivation to strengthen their bloodline and reach atavism.

Here, they were powerful and had an easy time becoming immortals. However, their world has been isolated for a long time.

Some said they were once prosperous and active until a particular tragedy – the death of their lord, Skykiller True Dragon.

Few visitors came because too many immortal beasts slumbered here. Something changed today with an intruder.

“Bam!” This intruder entered through a barrier gap, soaring toward a particular direction and waking beasts along the way.
