Emperor’s Domination

“If you had transcended the world, you wouldn’t be sitting idly here. Everything would have been settled.” Li Qiye said.

“Hearing that from you, Sir, only deepens my sense of shame.” The man replied with a smile: “So many ages have passed, yet I’ve accomplished nothing, raised nothing.”

“It would be the same had I entered back then.” Li Qiye said, smiling as he gently shook his head: “To enter the world is to bring order, but since you’re outside, why the hurry? Once you step in, you can deal with it then.”

“Your words bring great comfort, Sir.” The man chuckled: “After all, all things in the mortal world move in cycles, even if all is swept clean today, it will surely rise again in time.”

“Correct, there is no absolute. If we remove all the darkness, the light becomes the new darkness.” Li Qiye said.

“You speak nothing but the truth. To light, to darkness.” The person poured another cup for Li Qiye.

The two enjoyed the tea like old friends reunited at last.

“You understand but still chose to act, that’s admirable.” The person said sentimentally.

“Before departing, I must do what I should and can’t ignore it. Afterward, I will leave it be.” Li Qiye said.

“Which emotions bind you?” The person asked.

“My birthplace.” Li Qiye said.

“I don’t think I can have the same attachment.” The person said.

“You would be the same as me had you been born in this world.” Li Qiye said.

“Right, no roots.” The person sighed.

“Once you enter, your actions will be the same, just a different idea. This applies to the villainous heaven too. Different ideas, same outcome.” Li Qiye said.

“Am I one level lower? You are leaving as I am entering.” The person shook his head.

“There’s no distinction, only time will tell.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I don’t know if we will have the chance.” The person said.

“Then today?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Haha! That’s exactly what I meant!” The person couldn’t help but laugh: “I enter the world and you transcend it, it is marvelous that we get to meet today.”

“Indeed.” Li Qiye said with a smile: “I transcend via stabilizing and seeking the answer, you transcend by wanting to defeat the heaven and create.”

“Well said, such a great pursuit, seeking the answer.” The person clapped his hands and laughed heartily.

“A toast to your goal as well, creating a new world after defeating the heaven.” Li Qiye said.

“To us.” The person raised his cup and drank together with Li Qiye.

The river of time seemed to be celebrating with them.

“This turbulent world, ever chaotic, truly weighs on the heart.” The person sighed emotionally after finishing his cup: “But you, Sir, stand still through the ages. I deeply admire that.”

“You were once in it as well.” Li Qiye said.

“That was a very long time ago.” The person smiled: “I had the impulse to create the Heaven Assault Alliance, please don’t laugh.”

“It was a good thing. One can’t help reminiscing fondly of the passionate days versus how old we are now.” Li Qiye said.

“Those playful days lit our heart once, filling it with sunlight.” Li Qiye remarked.

“Unfortunately, I’ve been separated from those days for too long.” The person said.

“But they are still there.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, it’s unexpected that what started from a whim is still there. It’s not because of me, Genesis deserves all the credit.” The person said.

“He was just a flicker during those dark times.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, he grew up quickly and lasted all this time.” The person nodded.

“Some believe you two are master and disciple.” Li Qiye said.

“No, he participated during the founding of the alliance. I merely joined out of excitement. However, I found the goal to be vulgar and left. I never taught him anything but we did spar a few times.” The person said.

“It’s amazing then, he learned it all on his own.” Li Qiye praised.

“Yes, due to his fortune and determination. Of course, you also contributed to the alliance’s longevity.” The person said.

“Why do I know nothing about this?” Li Qiye shook his head.

“You had an agreement with the villainous heaven.” The person smiled: “The brat was smart enough to realize it and hid instead. After the sweep, he finally expanded the alliance. It is far greater compared to the past.”

Li Qiye knew what he was referring to – the full sweep of Heaven Realm. This ended unimaginable existences and gave room for the young ones to grow.

“Of course, your camp is just as impressive, Guardian Alliance. Its influence looms over Heaven Realm even now.” The person said.

“The juniors did all the hard work, I’m just like you, we merely planted the seeds.” Li Qiye said.

“One of your seeds, Min Ren, shocked the world with his blade. I have nothing but praises for him.” The person said.

“What a shame.” Li Qiye sighed: “He’s a good kid while I might not be a good master.”

“Disciples shouldn’t blindly follow their masters. He carved out his path and was brilliant.” The person said: “And then after Min Ren, you have Hong Tian. How enviable.”

“They’re the ones responsible for their success now, not me.” Li Qiye said.

“Nonetheless, it seems you are a better master than I am.” The person said.

“You wish to create a new world and shoulder time itself, so there is no need for a seed. I seek an answer so before leaving, I have to prepare adequately.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“You sure know how to comfort others.” The person smiled before adding: “Who knows when that day will come.”

“Soon, perhaps.” Li Qiye said.

“I feel inferior to you.” The person said.

“Impossible to tell until the end. Right now, you have your Heaven Assault Alliance and I have my Guardian Alliance. Which will win? Perhaps neither will exist by tomorrow. No one can be sure.” Li Qiye said.

“It’s a possibility.” The person said: “Mang’s Devour Alliance had such momentum and ambition, preparing to devour heaven too. Unfortunately, still vanished from this world.”

“You and I both know that was a fall to depravity, not ambition.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, the unstoppable alliance couldn’t make it through your disciple, let alone devour the heaven.” The person smiled.
