Emperor’s Domination

Ten-realm refused to acknowledge this ancient ancestor. He believed in his strength, not to mention an ancestor of the primary branch might not be his.

For example, Wisdom Ancestor was a supreme ancestor. The members of the Chen respected her but didn’t obey her commands. The ten generations of the Chen certainly didn’t.

Some said Tenth-gen Chen was a reincarnation of First-gen Chen who used to be the senior of the seven stars. The list included Desolate Ancestor and Wisdom Ancestor.

Ten-realm Emperor was the next successor, one day to change his title to Eleventh-gen Chen. He would inherit everything from the grand dao, accumulated power, and memories…

In one sense, he would be the oldest existence in Desolate Frontier, the supreme ancestor.

Moreover, the dao system was under the control of First-gen Chen. It only changed as Desolate Ancestor’s rise to prominence. The Chen had never accepted this but she overpowered even their founder.

Presently, her branch was not as strong as before so the Chen has become competitive again. With all this in mind, Ten-realm Emperor thought he should one day be equal to any ancient ancestor.

“I observed the river of time and such an ancestor does not exist. He is not one of the seven stars.” Ten-realm said.

Since he spoke confidently, some in the crowd questioned Li Qiye’s authenticity. No one was older than First-gen Chen in the sect outside of Everlasting Jiang.

If the future successor of the Chen said otherwise, could he not be real?

”Ten-realm, take that back.” Crimson Virtue shouted.

”Brother, logic and evidence stand with me.” Ten-realm said firmly: ”You all believe he is an ancestor of your branch but words alone are not enough. This is an earthshattering declaration, which requires proof.”

His confidence won some of the crowd over. In reality, they didn’t have an answer, not even the older emperors and desolate gods.

Desolate Frontier had an untraceable history, especially before it took on this name. Little was known about the time before First-gen Chen and Everlasting Jiang. Having an ancient ancestor unknown to them was not impossible, albeit no records stated this clearly.

Therefore, the knowledge stopped primarily with Everlasting Jiang’s era. Next came First-gen Chen and the seven stars.

Now, the man to become Eleventh-gen Chen refused to admit this ancestor. It certainly complicated things.

”The ancestor’s identity requires no proof.” Crimson Virtue said.

”Yes, Brother Ten-realm. You are not allowed to question this.” Solar Monarch shook his head since he had a taste of this before.

At the heavenreach stage, he was not that much weaker than Ten-realm Emperor. However, Li Qiye could have killed him by throwing a single bone. This was a direct reminder of how far down he was compared to the top.

If Li Qiye wanted to, he could banish an emperor or desolate god from Desolate Frontier.

”He might not be from our branch but the claim requires proof all the same.” Ten-realm insisted.

”You want proof?” Li Qiye finally stopped eating and glanced at Ten-realm.

The scene became silent. Was the ancestor finally going to show his wrath and kill the emperor? Inaction would make him a joke.

The only reason the emperor dared to do this was because of his future potential, inheriting the Chen’s legacy.

”I ask you, Ancestor, what makes you our ancestor?” Ten-realm spoke sonorously.

Li Qiye took a sip of tea before responding: ”I ask you, where do you muster the audacity to question me? You are nothing.”
