Genshin Impact: Spoiling the Future

This is Dvorak’s ancestor’s story, so he remembers it quite clearly and firmly believes it’s true. This time in Liyue, he came to investigate the related incident.

That said, your family passes down legendary stories, fine—but is falling into water and drowning also passed down?

Readers inwardly retort: Good thing this time the one saving you isn’t some fairy, but a little loli; otherwise, drowning in Liyue might really become your family tradition.

In fact, Dvorak doesn’t even know where his ancestor drowned; he can only visit places everywhere, just to find the spot where his ancestor nearly drowned.

Hoping to encounter that fairy again and thank her on behalf of his ancestor.

He’s searched for half his life; this has become his obsession.

Searching half his life, he’s not without progress—at least he’s narrowed the location from the whole world to Liyue.

Makes sense; if it were drowning ”water” in Mondstadt, you’d get force-fed alcohol, and even if a fairy saved you, you’d forget everything from blacking out.

Inazuma is even more expert; that water isn’t ordinary—it’s the water from Wang Wei’s poem: touch it and die, brush it and get hurt!

Cough, that’s a bit biased; actually, these two nations do have ordinary water.

But Dvorak’s elimination isn’t for these reasons; he really did go to Mondstadt.

His ancestor’s story relates to music, so the first suspect is naturally the ”God of Music,” Barbatos.

So after hearing the Wind God returned, Dvorak went to Mondstadt and prayed in the cathedral there, hoping the Wind God would guide him.

Then, upon leaving the cathedral, he saw a cluster of leaves blown in the air by the wind, seemingly pointing the way.

Mondstadt people told him to follow the leaves—that it’s the guidance of the Wind God—so he followed the leaves all the way to Liyue. To show thanks, Dvorak offered fine wine at every Statue of The Seven along the way.

Though it sounds like he was tricked, the Traveler affirmatively tells Dvorak that the story’s location is most likely in Liyue.

This old kid Venti may look unreliable and a bit prone to tricking people.

But even if he tricks you, he won’t toy with you. Since he brought you to Liyue, it won’t be for nothing—the Traveler still believes in Venti.

Moreover, Venti took so much of your wine; he can’t just take the wine and do nothing, right?

In the story, Yaoyao is a bit worried, because this sounds way too much like a scam.

Paimon refutes Yaoyao’s concern, declaring herself an expert at spotting scams—as long as no Mora is scammed, it doesn’t count as being scammed!

[ Dvorak: ”To show thanks, I did spend quite a bit of Mora to buy several bottles of fine wine and offered them at the Statues of The Seven along the way...” ]

Dvorak admits: I was scammed out of Mora.

Below is an illustration of Paimon.

[ Seeing Dvorak undermining her, Paimon aggrievedly looks at the Traveler, one little finger pointing at Dvorak, the other hand grabbing the Traveler’s arm, tone full of grievance: ”Aiya, aiya, look at him...” ]

Paimon is very cute, but everyone in Lucian’s home turns their gaze to Venti again. Seriously, why are you everywhere?

”Ehehe~.” Venti brushes it off.

He knows himself well; probably thought it was fun, and since he wanted to go to Liyue anyway, he just brought the guy along.

And, struck it rich! Dvorak bought a bunch of fine wine to offer him in thanks!

Wait, thinking about it—this future spoiler means my wine is gone!?

Damn it, Lucian, you! How are you even better at tricking people than me?

Venti looks at Lucian resentfully. You stole my wine; shouldn’t you compensate me?

No way—if you don’t compensate me, I won’t leave! This old Venti won’t leave!

Venti stares at Lucian, pondering how to mooch.

For Venti’s intense gaze, Lucian says: ”Ehehe~.”

Everyone is speechless, ignoring these two guys and turning back to the story. In the book, Yaoyao is still worried that Uncle Dvorak was scammed and plans to take him to find big sister Ganyu for help.

She says she doesn’t know many people and can’t help much, so she can only ask big sister Ganyu, because big sister Ganyu knows lots of people.

Readers see this and are full of question marks. What do you mean ”don’t know many people, can’t help much”? Can you translate that sentence?

You know the chief secretary of the Qixing, and you call that ”can’t help much”?

When the group arrives in Liyue, the first person they encounter is actually Yanfei—this isn’t her first appearance, but Lucian still draws a portrait for her.

Yanfei talks with Dvorak about the ” Iridescence Tour.” They had agreed to hold it, but she helped for half a day only to be stood up in the end.

Dvorak hurriedly apologizes; the previous times were always interrupted for various reasons, and he had no choice.

A music program like the ” Iridescence Tour ” ultimately needs the local person in charge to nod for it to proceed smoothly, but he’s just an ordinary person—how could he connect with the person in charge?

[ Paimon: ”Eh, the ’Liyue Qixing’ we’re just about to find are the ones in charge, oh.” ]

[ Dvorak: ”Ah, ah?” ]

He’s stunned; readers are even more stunned. Wait, why?

Why does he just drown once and so easily connect with Liyue’s strongest network?

You fell into water and became all watery, so you waterily connected?

Not just official like the Liyue Qixing—Yanfei and Yun Jin are acquaintances; she can also help Dvorak with the civilian side.

Official can give you stage and funding; civilians can give you popularity and performers—perfect.

Further along, the group arrives at Yujing Terrace, where they meet Madame Ping.

[ Yaoyao says: ”Ah! Master. I want to go say hello to Master; is that okay?” ]

Now readers finally understand why she knows Ganyu—turns out Madame Ping is your master!

Everyone who read Liyue’s stories knows that Madame Ping is an Adeptus!

Talking with Madame Ping about the ” Iridescence Tour,” she has no aversion to this trendy music festival; on the contrary, she’s quite expectant.

Now even the Adeptus side is settled; readers watch with flushed faces. Wait, why? How is Dvorak so lucky?

Finally, the group finds Ganyu. Yaoyao hands over the herbs from the basket on her back to Ganyu—those are her meals.

[ Yaoyao reminds Ganyu: ”Yaoyao knows you’ve been busy with work lately, but you can’t overwork yourself—be careful not to fall asleep in the grass again...” ]

Seeing Yaoyao say this, it’s clear Ganyu has previously fallen asleep in the grass.

Readers exclaim: Where? Which grass? Exactly which mysterious jungle spot respawns Ganyu?
