Genshin Impact: Spoiling the Future

On the other side, Lumine and Paimon have also arrived at Tsurumi Island. It’s just the right time to talk about this latest guide from ’your Lucian’—the story of ’Through the Mists’.

Of course, not everyone is reading this story. For example, Ei, Ei, and the like—obviously, they can’t sit still.

Ei has already planned to go into Makoto’s Plane of Euthymia to spar with the Raiden Shogun.

In reality, she isn’t in a hurry to modify the Raiden Shogun’s programming, because Lucian has a wondrous tool that can give her a body to use.

But now she has discovered something: awakening her big sister’s consciousness requires fully exerting the power of Musou Isshin. So the question is, who can help her ’charge’ it?

Who has the strength, firm will, and a venue buff where no one gets hurt or dies?

Yes, of course—it’s our Raiden Shogun~ General Shogun~ Little Raiden General!

Ei has now comprehended eternity and understood Makoto’s concept of eternity, but at the same time, she needs to fully exert the power of Musou Isshin.

Because only by truly understanding and acknowledging Makoto’s ideals can she unleash the full power of Musou Isshin.

This is the evaluation standard; otherwise, how would one know if you truly understand and acknowledge it?

So, Raiden Shogun, the organization has an important task for you.

The benefits of this fight are too many. Although she can have a new body, it definitely won’t be as comfortable as using ’her own’.

Moreover, without modifying the Raiden Shogun’s underlying logic, she will oppose you in the future anyway—it still needs to be changed.

So whether for Inazuma or for Ei herself, she must do it!

At this moment, Ei is being supported by Lucian to the front of Makoto’s Plane of Euthymia; she has made full preparations.

As long as it’s a path Ei acknowledges, even ten oxen couldn’t pull her back.

She has to go in with the general, so she still enters the general’s body, using her consciousness to confront the general, thus ’hard-controlling’ both, making it easy to transfer.

”Go ahead, Ei. We’ll come pick you up later.” Yae Miko smiled.

Ei nodded and tried to step into the Plane of Euthymia.

”...Why not just throw me in?” Ei said after a moment of silence. She really couldn’t move.

Lucian didn’t hesitate; he scooped her up with both hands and tossed her in.

”So, why was I the one supporting Ei earlier?” Lucian wondered.

Clearly, both you fox ladies came along—shouldn’t it be more appropriate for you to support her?

”This kind of physical labor is perfect for the disciple, isn’t it?” Yae Miko emphasized the word ’disciple’ heavily.

Lucian understood; this girl was getting revenge for him ’betraying’ her.

Naive—you wouldn’t really think this is punishment for me, would you?

Kitsune Saiguu and Yae Miko didn’t say much. You wouldn’t really think we’re getting revenge, would you? Little fool.

Not letting you touch ears—can’t we let you touch Ei instead?

Mainly, Yae Miko still wanted to maintain her big sister image and indeed didn’t want her ears touched; too sensitive.

Enough about these three; let’s first talk about the story of ’Through the Mists’.

The story begins with our familiar, beloved Katheryne!

As usual, she’s assigning a task to the Traveler again.

The readers are used to it too; in recent stories—whether Arataki Itto’s story, the Seirai Island story, or the just-read Raiden Two story—all start like this. It’s hard not to get used to it.

[Katheryne: ”Regarding the situation on Seirai Island, I’ve heard about it from Miss Etsuko recently. It was truly remarkable.”]

[”To get to the point, the Guild has received a higher-difficulty commission. Are you interested...?”]

The readers exclaimed, ’Whoa~ Your paragraphs are still connected?’

Originally, the time in Yae Miko and Ei’s Legend Two story was also connected; it’s just that Lucian reversed the order.

In the story, Lumine patted her chest, looking proud as she said:

[”Higher difficulty? No problem! Even the Fatui Harbingers aren’t my opponents!”]

[Katheryne: ”Indeed.”]

The Fatui fell silent. Katheryne... aren’t you our self-developed intelligent machine from Snezhnaya? What’s going on? How are you helping an outsider badmouth your own people?

Also, Tartaglia, Rosalyne—it’s all your fault! Who told you two to lose to her? Look how arrogant she’s gotten!

Katheryne in the story naturally didn’t know the Fatui’s complaints; she continued introducing the task to the Traveler.

[Katheryne: ”The client is Miss Sumida. For the specifics, it’s best if she explains it to you personally.”]

In reality, Sumida was slightly surprised, but then understood.

The current her doesn’t want to find the Traveler, because the Traveler’s experiences have all been written in Shikikan’s books; she can just read them directly.

But in the prophesied book’s timeline, there are no prophecy books; in that timeline, she doesn’t know the Traveler’s stories, so wanting to find the Traveler for material is normal.

When the Traveler in the story finds Sumida, Sumida opens with ’the legendary Traveler’, immediately flattering Lumine with one sentence.

The already floating Traveler puffed out her chest even more, saying proudly and tsundere-like:

[”I am the legendary Traveler.”]

[Paimon: ”I am the legendary Paimon!”]

The readers are very satisfied. Look at how humorous the beginning of this story is? It must be a heartwarming story!

Shikikan, you still have a conscience—knowing to write a heartwarming story after a sad one to let us recover.

[Sumida: ”Good. Then, to make a long story short—do you have experience ’obtaining the best sword in the village’?”]

[Paimon: ”Wasn’t there that time we got the longsword ’the sword that cuts through dawn pointing to victory’s dawn sword’ from Kaeya...?”]

The sword Paimon mentioned is the one Lumine is using right now; the name is too long, so simplified, it’s called: ’Harbinger of Dawn’.

Sumida said the sword’s name is a bit too deliberate; reality can ignore logic, but novels can’t, so she asked the second question.

[”Have you had a life ’surrounded by beautiful girls’?”]

It’s over—I’m surrounded by beauties!

[”Then... experience defeating a giant dragon shortly after the story begins? Or perhaps, inexplicably getting involved in a nation’s survival crisis, becoming enemies with ’a villainous group composed of a select few elite with numerical designations’?”]

[Traveler: ”Can’t exactly say no...”]

Lumine felt a bit subtle; everything Sumida mentioned, she seemed to have actually experienced—this was fighting Stormterror, facing Osial, and opposing the Fatui, right?

And being surrounded by beautiful girls is indeed true, but thinking about it makes Lumine angry.

Because Lucian wrote Ayaka’s dance in the book ahead of time, Ayaka didn’t dance in front of her this time.

She didn’t get to appreciate the dance, but instead, Ayaka stared at her closely.

Lumine was helpless too. Why are you staring at me? Why not watch Lucian instead?
