Genshin Impact: Spoiling the Future

The illustration ends, and readers are overwhelmed with emotion. For some reason, after Kapatcir lets out its angry ”voice of vengeance,” they feel like crying.

Why is that? Is it the satisfaction of revenge? It doesn’t seem so; it feels more like a sentiment of being protected and cared for—a touching feeling that someone would stand up for you.

Looking back, Sumida’s ”prophecy” was spot on! It really was because of a misunderstanding!

The disaster on Tsurumi Island was entirely due to the ignorance of the Tsurumi Island people; suffering this calamity doesn’t make one feel much pity for them.

Instead, it’s Kapatcir and Ruu that are somewhat regrettable. If the Tsurumi Island people hadn’t caused trouble, with the relationship between the two, Kapatcir might really have become Tsurumi Island’s guardian deity.

Unfortunately, there are no ifs; the tragedy of Tsurumi Island has already occurred, achieving ”eternity” here one step ahead of the Raiden Shogun.

Kapatcir’s anger will cause this land to suffer eternal calamity.

In the story, after understanding the cause and effect, Ruu also comprehends everything. It’s not that Kapatcir got angry because the ceremony was not completed.

On the contrary, it was precisely because the ceremony was completed that it became so furious.

[Ruu: ”...I thought Kapatcir had already forgotten about this...”]

[”I thought she was displeased with that ceremony, thought she didn’t like me...”]

Only now does he know that Kapatcir didn’t dislike him—it liked him too much.

However, Ruu only knows the reason for Tsurumi Island’s destruction; he still doesn’t know that Kapatcir is already dead.

So the high-EQ Lumine tells a kind white lie, just like when facing Nanako.

She tells Ruu that Kapatcir has moved to Seirai Island and is just very busy with no time to come to Tsurumi Island.

It was fine up to this point, but Paimon nervously adds:

[”Yes! And, and she even gave birth to lots of little Thunderbirds!”]

In the story, Lumine glances at Paimon, thinking isn’t this a bit too exaggerated?

But she doesn’t expose it and instead asks Ruu if he wants to go to Seirai Island to see?

Ruu cannot leave Tsurumi Island because what sustains his existence is precisely the power left behind by Kapatcir on Tsurumi Island. If he leaves Tsurumi Island, this power will disappear, and in the end, Ruu will wake up again on Tsurumi Island, welcoming the ceremony.

However, the Traveler has a way—she has Kapatcir’s feather, which also hosts Kapatcir’s power.

With the Traveler’s help, Ruu successfully arrives at Seirai Island and sees the outside world.

The ”outside world” is a sea of purple—after all, it is the land of the most charming Raiden Shogun.

In fact, regarding what might have happened to himself and Kapatcir, Ruu has long had insight in his heart; he just doesn’t pierce everyone’s kind lie.

[Ruu: ”Although the weather is different now, I’ve come to sing for you, Kapatcir.”]

Even without thunder and rain, I will still sing for you.

Ruu’s singing rises, just like at the beginning—this clear song penetrates the ”thick fog” and thunder, entering Kapatcir’s ears.

Eternity is closely related to time; hopefully, this song can also cross time.

A feather appears in front of Ruu and falls into his hands.

Kapatcir is once again attracted by his singing; the two have another ”first encounter.”

[Ruu embraces the feather: ”I’m back. Kapatcir is back too.”]

The perches on Tsurumi Island return to normal; the thunderstorms seem to gradually subside because ”Kanna Kapatcir” has once again heard that person’s song.

The story of Tsurumi Island ends; everyone also understands—this is a story of unresolved feelings between a human and a bird... ghost bird... ghosts... anyway, just between two beings.

At the end of the event, the Traveler returns and tells the story to Sumida.

After listening to this story, Sumida is silent for a while; she decides to temporarily give up writing this story.

Because with her current writing skill, she cannot write this story well. She wants to travel, to experience this world, to personally feel this world, and then come back to write this story.

She has always been like this—every time she writes a story, she goes to learn and experience new things. In the end, she becomes a woman who can do almost anything except write novels.

Don’t ask me to write novels; I can handle anything, but I really can’t write novels.

[Sumida: ”I will definitely easily win the ’This Novel is Amazing’ grand prize and become a signed author at the Yae Publishing House!”]

[”Kama, will you travel with me?”]

(This segment, I always hallucinate it as Pokémon—it’s too similar to Ash catching Pokémon; replacing Kama’s name with any Pokémon wouldn’t feel out of place at all.)

Kama and Sumida set off on their journey; the story of Through the Mists thoroughly ends.

Arlecchino closes the book and sets it aside; sparks dance on her fingers, wandering like fire snakes.

This story—why does it always feel like it’s stabbing me? Last time it didn’t ”kill” me, this time it continues?

The encounter between Kapatcir and Ruu, the unfulfilled promise, one dies and the other takes revenge—how similar!? Just missing the final ”reunion”!

For a moment, Arlecchino somewhat understands why Rosalyne kept talking about burning Lucian before—empathizing with the sister.

It’s just that she doesn’t know that the current Rosalyne no longer wants to burn Lucian—at most, just burn some photos for fun.

Arlecchino walks out of the House of the Hearth: Lady Furina, I’m coming.

This kind of revenge—Navia and Wriothesley would probably understand too. If someone treated Sigewinne like that, they’d immediately make him know what ”dad bullying” is.

Albedo could understand the same—if you hurt Klee, you’d know what’s up.

For those who have people to protect, they can all understand; it’s just that they don’t empathize like Arlecchino.

Because nothing has happened to their important people yet, but Arlecchino is different—she fits all of it.

Speaking of this important person, it just so happens to talk about Ei’s side.

Lucian and the other two have also finished reading the book—it’s time to deal with their family’s Ei.

In order to meet Makoto Ei, the three enter the consciousness space together, searching for Ei’s location among many time-spaces.

This isn’t too difficult; the three quickly find Ei’s location and enter it.

”You’re here?” Ei is not surprised by the appearance of Lucian and the others—she has known for a long time.

The three appearing here also means it’s time to declare victory.

As expected, the Raiden Shogun opposite her sighs: ”Your current will far surpasses the past, making me sigh.”

”In countless battles, you have not fallen once, nor hesitated at all.”

”Even when I presented all enemies of eternity before you, you never wavered.”

In the Raiden Shogun’s view, Ei’s will at this moment even surpasses hers when she established the laws of eternity—it has reached a new height.

”Alright, alright, we all know—this part can be fast-forwarded, right?” Yae Miko says somewhat impatiently.
