I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 349: 8.74 First Blue Star - A Chance of Rebirth

Lin Yven finally wakes up but for some reason, he feels like he is dreaming despite the extreme pain spreading all over his body and mind. Seeing the appearance of Xue Ying made him feel a bit relaxed even though he was almost on the brink of death.

ʼAm I dreaming? AʼYing is here to pick me up. This is quite nice for the last dream...ʼ Thoughts of Lin Yven as he weakly reaches out his trembling slender arms and tries to hug Xue Ying.

Caught in surprise, Xue Ying stiffened as he lowered his head allowing Lin Yven to hug him. Lin Yven rubs his face on the other as if a spoiled child showing his affection. Xue Ying pampered him and treated him affectionately like he was heartfelt.

The others are watching silently but only the military doctors and Feng Jing know what kind of state Lin Yven is currently in. Now the military doctors wanted to explain things but were afraid of destroying such a beautiful and peaceful scene. Only Lin Tian frowned and asked the doctor in the corner.

Lin Tian asked, ”Sirs, what is the result of my little brotherʼs check-up?”

The doctors looked at one another and hesitated for a moment before they told the young man the current state of Lin Yven. Feng Jing and the Marshalʼs permission when they saw them nod, the military doctors solemnly explained the details to Lin Tian.

”About Student Lin Yvenʼs state... Iʼm afraid it is beyond us.”

”His internal injuries are fatal as most of his organs were smashed.”

”His rib cage was mostly fractured and wounded a few of his lungs. We had let him drink a high-level healing concoction with 100% purity so his internal injuries were not that much of a problem.”

”The real problem is the spiritual domain,” said a military doctor who specialized in treating guides. ”Iʼm afraid that he had suffered numerous spiritual attacks which broke his spirit domain. Student Lin Yven being awake now is a miracle but... it also wonʼt last long.”

Lin Tianʼs expression was mixed with that of shock and disbelief. His face started to pale as his fingers trembled. ”W-What will happen if the spiritual domain is broken?” His voice was a bit raspy as if he was trying his best to calm down his heavy breathing and uncontrollable heartbeats.

”Either you fell into a deep coma or become an idiot.” The doctor observes Lin Yven from a distance and notices his current state. ”He must have retained his intelligence which means... he might have fallen into a deep coma once he fell asleep.”

Lin Tian grabbed the doctor and asked, ”Is there! Is there something that can be done!!?”

”No one is able to treat a broken spiritual domain. It is something we are born with and it is the source of our qi and hosts our spirit. Once it is broken... Only God can save him. Though there are special people who could heal this through their special bloodline. The Phoenix Family is the only exception.” said the doctor.

Lin Tian asked, ”W-What do you mean?”

”The special bloodline skill of the Feng Clan is called ʼRebirthʼ. Once they die they should be able to come back to life after a few years. Thereʼs a special temple which they call the Phoenix Nest where the souls of the Feng Descendants return after death. In this place, they are able to reconstruct their bodies until theyʼve reached their chosen age to rebirth.”

”Rebirth of the phoenix?” mumbled Lin Tian.

”Yes, there are also outsiders who could experience such special privilege. Those who are paired permanently to a member of Feng would receive a chance of rebirth as long as the Feng Descendant allows it to. But... Only a married and mated pair can do this. The only unofficially mated Feng in this world is Young Lord Feng Jing but he is already the Marshalʼs future wife.”

”Weʼre sorry for our incompetence, Young Master Lin Tian.”

Hearing this, Lin Tianʼs tears and anger couldnʼt help but appear on his face. His eyes were red in sadness and rage. His anger rose another level when he heard that it was Major General Navi Naja who caused the current state of his little brother.

After receiving the results of the doctors who checked his younger sibling. His eyes were tinted with tears and suddenly grabbed Major General Navi Itri at the corner and started beating the man up. No one says a word for Lin Tian to stop. When the Military doctors tried a cold glance from their marshalʼs wife stopped them.

Feng Jingʼs face is not good at the moment. As a doctor himself he knew how worse the state Lin Yven is. The current vessel he has was not a holy priest or possesses a light element. Without compatibility with light elements, he canʼt use it. His lineage was never compatible with light elements because of their bloodlineʼs immortality.

The Marshal motioned the other soldiers to gather all the sinners in one area and just wait. They gave Lin Yven and Xue Ying private space to speak with one another and step back. At the corner, the military doctors try to comfort the elder brother of Lin Yven, Lin Tian is also breaking down with the news he heard about his younger brotherʼs condition.

Only at this moment when Lin Yvenʼs state is already at worse that his pain starts to feel numb for him. He pulls out from the hug and stares at Lin Yvenʼs affectionate yet sad expression. He gently caresses Xue Yingʼs cheeks.

Lin Yven asked, ”Why are you... Sad, AʼYing?”

Xue Ying didnʼt respond right away and moved to land a kiss on Lin Yvenʼs palm. His expression turned sadder when he felt the coldness of his belovedʼs skin.

He slightly chokes as he answers Lin Yvenʼs question. ”Iʼm sad because I feel like youʼre going to leave me. Yve promise you will stay with me okay?” said Xue Ying his voice and tone were akin to pleading.

Lin Yven could see some tears in the corner of Xue Yingʼs eyes. He weakly reached out a hand and wiped it. Once he felt the warm temperature of the tears lingering at the tip of his fingers, which made him realize a few things. That maybe this situation he is in now is not merely a dream.

He wanted to check whether it was a dream or not. The AʼYing in his dream would give him anything he asked for. Even the most selfish request is fulfilled by him. Lin Yvenʼs eyes were stuck at the face of Xue Ying.

Lin Yven said, ”AʼYing, donʼt cry anymore.”

”Um~” Xue Ying nodded his head in response.

”I have... a small... request... AʼYing... can you give me... a kiss?” asked Lin Yven but thereʼs an obvious hint of reluctance when he asked this. As if he was afraid of being rejected like the one this morning.

This sudden request startled Xue Ying as he blinked his eyes a bit stunned. Lin Yven chuckled a bit when he saw the manʼs reaction. He felt that Xue Ying is a bit cute whenever he was left dazed.

”Haha~ Iʼm just joking~ No need to believe everything I hmp---!!!”

Before Lin Yven could even close his lip for the next words, Xue Ying suddenly kissed him as he wished for. It was gentle at first leaving Lin Yven a soothing feeling bubbling in his heart until both could no longer hold back and kissed each other aggressively. The taste of rust spread from both their entangled tongues but no one is willing to split up.

As they exchange a deep and aggressive kiss, the scent of the two pheromones spreads in the area. The aroma of Citrus and snow scent blended with the floral scent of lavender.  The others controlled themselves not to be involved with the two pheromones spreading in the area. Feng Jing raised a barrier to keep the coupleʼs pheromones from spreading lest his husband ended up being jealous the moment he smelled some other sentinelʼs pheromones. If that happens his elder cousin brother, Xue Ying would definitely get the losing end of this vinegar jar called Marshal Sirius.

Feng Jing spoke and said to the two inside the barrier. ”Ying-gege, give Yven a permanent mark and I will help you awaken the half phoenix bloodline in your veins. Once that wakened you should be able to give Lin Yven a chance of rebirth once which is supposed to be yours.”

Everyone was stunned by the words Feng Jing had said. Even the couple who were kissing just now was stunned. Lin Tian who didnʼt expect this direction had suddenly run over to where Feng Jing is to ask about his younger brotherʼs situation.

Lin Tian even forgot the Marshalʼs existence at this moment, ”Young Lord Jing, are you telling the truth? My... Can my brother be revived?” he wanted to grab Feng Jing only to be blocked by the angry marshal.

”You can ask what you want to ask but... keep your hands to yourself,” said Marshal Sirius as he hugs Feng Jing closer to himself. His dark expression is enough to say it all.

Feng Jing didnʼt struggle when he got hugged all of the sudden and instead replied to what Lin Tian had asked.

”The Xue family, especially the bloodline of my Xiao Yeye, Xue Xia, had been transformed the moment he married my Big Yeye. Once theyʼve officially completed the Soul Bonds as official mates, the half Xiao Yeyeʼs bloodline was turned to ours, the phoenix bloodline. Because of this, those who are connected to him can enjoy fast regeneration of healing than other people,” explained Feng Jing.

The Marshal who had been working with Xue Ying since they were young could somewhat understand what his guide was telling them.

”No wonder, Yingʼs injuries would sometimes heal faster than mine,” said Marshal Sirius. ”but you said you can help him awaken his phoenix bloodline, once it was awakened what would happen?” he asked.

Feng Jing looked at his lover and said, ”You know that the direct descendants of my clan can be reborn three times in every of our lifetime. Once we finished that only then we would enter reincarnation. Once a Feng is paired with someone outside the family, those three chances of life can be shared with their spouse. I have three. I also gave some to you after you had completely marked me. Once you die you have a chance to be reborn at the age you choose, I will not further explain that you would understand it once you die.”

Marshal Sirius seriously nodded his head and asked, ”How many chances of rebirth did you give me, Jingʼer?”

Feng Jing suddenly paused his words and averted his eyes and said, ”I gave you one.”

Seeing his loverʼs reaction Marshal Sirius knew he was lying, he was upset in his heart but couldnʼt really blame his lover because of it. Just that one mistake from before is enough for Feng Jing to worry about him too much. There is no way he had only given him one rebirth chance. But at the same time, he didnʼt clarify things with Feng Jing as there are other people who are with them at this moment. He can ask when they got back to their room.

Feng Jing said, ”Anyway, Ying-gege is someone from Xiao Yeyeʼs bloodline. He has half of the phoenix bloodline but it was dormant. Only I who possess the purest bloodline of the phoenix can help him awaken it. But unlike a direct descendant like me, his chance can only be said to be minimal. To be exact it is only a single chance, I am helping him to give this chance to Lin Yven. But once he does this... he will no longer possess that fast regeneration he used to have.”

Xue Ying, who had clearly heard his cousinʼs explanation, didnʼt think twice when he heard about it. This was the second chance he had been begging the Gods to give to him.

”Xiao Jing! I agree... I will give Yve my chance of rebirth!” said Xue Ying.
