I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 345: 8.70 First Blue Star - Lin Yven in danger

After leaving the main tent in anger, Lin Yven walked away in large strides until he distanced away from the main tent where his superiors and the person he likes do their work. The words of Lieutenant General Xue Ying continue to echo in Lin Yvenʼs ears.

ʼLin Yvenʼs face is my type but I only like girlsʼ

ʼFace is my type but I only like girlsʼ

ʼMy type but I only like girlsʼ

ʼBut I only like girls.ʼ

ʼOnly like girls~ʼ

Lin Yven continues walking and his speed is almost at the par of running away. His mind was full of things and the voice of that man who rejected him before he could even confess continues to linger in his head. His tears were falling on his face uncontrollably and Lin Yven didnʼt even notice it until he touched his wet cheeks.

”Huh? Iʼm crying?” Lin Yven dazedly looked in one direction as if he lost his soul. His face is full of tears because there is no expression on his face. ”Do I even deserve to cry when I am just nothing in his life? I shouldnʼt have hope for his heart, something that isnʼt even within my reach. I was a bit full of myself. Just because I awakened as a guide doesnʼt mean I have the right to like him. After all, I am not a girl...”

The pain in his chest is excruciating. As if his heart was stabbed multiple times without him knowing why. The tingling pain makes his breathing erratic and could only gasp as he tried to hold back his voice preventing himself from crying out. Even after trying his best to hamper his cries in the end he couldnʼt go. A gut-wrenching cry can be heard echoing within the forest as Lin Yven curled himself under a tree.

It took a few hours before Lin Yven finally calmed down. His eyes were a bit swollen from constant crying. He was having a hard time keeping them open. When he looked around he was a bit startled and didnʼt expect to walk this far. Lin Yven didnʼt even notice that he had run out of the campsite safety circle and had arrived in the middle of the forest. He looked at the greenies and trees surrounding him. If it was a normal ordinary person he would not even know how to get out of this forest but thankfully Lin Yven had already awakened as a guide. Just by spreading his spiritual qi around him, he would be able to see which direction to go.

He saw a sight of the river not far from here and decided to wash his face as he felt that his face was a bit sticky. Busying himself with river water to cleanse his face, Lin Yven didnʼt forget to spread his spiritual qi in vigilance. This is something Feng Jing had taught him before. In the situation where he is alone, it is better to keep your qi unfurl around you as the center. This is to keep watch of the movements in his surroundings.

Lin Yvenʼs potential as a guide is currently only B-ranked but his precise control over his spiritual qi is even above Si Shen and Wu Liu who had been a guide for a long time. He is someone who worked as an assassin before, his techniques lead more in precision which is why when he awakened as a guide, his control over his own qi is quite magnificent.

Suddenly ripples appeared within the radius of 50 meters around him and Lin Yven abruptly turned serious. He instantly used his shadow techniques to hide his presence and the sound of his footsteps. Blending his figure within the darkness of the forest. Right now it is past beyond sunset, it is normally forbidden for someone to be outside of the campsite at this time. He used his communicator to activate the program Etoile.

Lin Yven whispered, ”Etoile, activate the mapping mode. I need to know if there are people within the hundred radii around me.”

[Ping! Affirmative, Host Lin Yven. Etoile activates Mapping mode. The holographic map had been upgraded by the creator. Identified personnel would now be labeled on the map.]

A few seconds after Etoile had responded to him, a holographic map appeared in front of him. Lin Yven navigates the map and looks at the presences detected in it.

There are at least 14 green dots on the holographic map. Their positioning is like meeting someone in the lead of their group. With one green dot in front of 13 green dots. Obviously, the separated sole green dot is most likely the leader. Lin Yven didnʼt hesitate to check the profile of that green dot.

As soon as the green dot was pressed, Lin Yven was stunned to see a familiar-looking name that labeled that dot.

Lin Yven murmured, ”Major General Navi Itri. Navi Najaʼs father?”

In the beginning, Lin Yven was a bit confused as to why the General was outside the campsite after the curfew. The first idea that passes his mind is that the General might be doing a clearing mission with the others but after a short silence, the unease feeling in his heart didnʼt fade at all. Another concept had flashed in his mind, this one is opposite to the first one. A sinister idea that suddenly appeared in his head once he remembered that the Navi Clan had always hated the Feng Clan.

The bad blood between the Navi and Feng Clan is widely known within the Oberion Empire. As both clans were big ones, no one really wants to get involved with their conflict. But no one in the capital didnʼt know how much the Navis hated the Feng Family. Lin Yven followed his instinct and pressed all the other 13 green dots on the map. When the label says unknown, he knew that his bad feeling had gotten real.

Seeing this Lin Yven tried to contact his lord to inform him about this. He hesitated for a moment as he didnʼt know if the latter would believe him without any proof. Then he remembered Etoile,

”Etoile, are you able to make a video recording of these people?”

[I could but the possibility of the other side noticing Host Lin Yvenʼs presence would be 30%. Right now, Host Lin Yvenʼs presence is guarded by Etoile, to record those humans I will need to move more than half of my attention to that side. I suggest the host prepare an escape plan if you are willing to do this. Moreover, the whole forest was jammed by some kind of machine interference. Even for Etoile, unless we got out of their radius I couldnʼt send a message to my creator. If Host Lin Yven is going to do this. Your life would be placed in danger.]

Lin Yven fell into deep thoughts as he weighed his life over the discovery of Major General Navi Najaʼs betrayal. When he thought that the target happens to be his lord, it didnʼt even take a minute for him to finalize his decision.

”Do it Etoile.”

[Are you sure, Host Lin Yven? This is a deadly mission that is beyond your capabilities.]

”I am sure. Between my life and the safety of one of the pillars that protect the Empire, there isnʼt much a choice,” replied Lin Yven

[Understood. Host Lin Yven, I wish you good luck!]

Lin Yven smiled when the truth is that he is afraid of death but at the same time he is proud as a citizen of the Oberion Empire.

”Etoile I want to make a video for my parents and big brother. Can you give it to them if I ever... ended up dying in this mission,” said Lin Yven.

[As you wish...]

”Thank you, Etoile.”

After a few minutes of preparations, Lin Yven and Etoile did as they planned to do. Lin Yven found the shortest route back to the campsite and let Etoile capture the recording. While Etoile is doing that Lin Yven is talking to his Liger in his mind space, he was planning on summoning his quantum beast and dashing back to the camp. He was going to ride the back of his Liger and blocked everything for his summon just so he could return to the camp whether alive or not.

Within the forest in the middle of the night, right now the sun had fully set and the atmosphere within the forest had turned eerie. Within that darkness, Major General Navi is currently having a conversation with his clanʼs men whom he summoned from the Empire. As he plans to assassinate the youngest lord of the Phoenix Clan, Feng Jing, he couldnʼt use the subordinates that landed on the Planet with him. As everyone in the camp had submitted a list of names of every ship to the Marshal to tally the total number of official soldiers.

Major General Navi said, ”You guys are finally here.”

”We greet the Clan Leader!”

General Navi, ”It is good that you have come.”

”Clan Leader, is it true that the Youngest Phoenix Descendant is an awakened one?”

”Much less an SSS-ranked guide like those in the legend!”

General Navi answered, ”Yes, he is. But this doesnʼt change our plan on assassinating Feng Jing. He must die before he completely grows up. Once he grows up, our Navi Clan would never be able to raise our heads in front of these bastard Phoenixes!!!”

”But isnʼt he an SSS-ranked guide? Moreover the partner of Marshal Altair, it is close to impossible to kill him.”

General Navi, ”Killing him directly, Yes it is impossible. So we are going to do it during the war. I want you guys to pretend to be my soldiers and I will make sure to place you near him. Amid the war, you should take his life for the glory of our clan.”

”For the Glory of our clan!!!”

While everyone is cheering the sounds of fireworks and flares can be seen under the dark sky of the night. The insignia of the soaring fire phoenix can be seen above their heads. Seeing this, Major General Navi and the rest of the elders of his clan were stunned speechless. It took a few seconds before they understood that someone was near them and heard their conversation.

Major General Navi cursed, ”Motherfucker! Thereʼs a spy!!! Find him he must be near. Kill him before he gets to report back to the camp.”

”What should we do about the flares and fireworks!? This insignia must be someone working for the Fengs!!!”

”Iʼll think of an excuse. The soy must be killed! Spread your spiritual qi and attack randomly. I do not believe he would be able to block spiritual attacks from an A and S-rank Sentinels!!!” ordered Major General Navi Itri.

”Yes, Clan Leader!”

As soon as they received the order all 14 of them had sent random spiritual attacks all over the forest. Lin Yven who was riding on the back of his liger couldnʼt completely block all of the attacks and suffered fatal internal injuries that he couldnʼt stop coughing blood.

Cough. cough. COUGH!!!

[Host Lin Yven! Your internal injuries are fatal.]

[Master, are you okay!?] Asked Lin Yvenʼs Liger.

With his lip tainted with deep crimson, LIn Yven could feel his whole body including his spiritual domain breaking. His body is trembling badly as he had a very hard time breathing. Only his strong willpower was able to help him keep his grip on the fire of his Liger.

With a bloodless face, while churning his immense pain all over his being, Lin Yven could only gasp lightly to keep oxygen entering his body.

Gasp. Haa~ hhhaa~

Cough!

”M-Move... R-Run faster... Back to ...the camp!” said Lin Yven to his quantum beast.

[Yes, Master!]

ʼIt hurts... It really hurts... It hurts more than when I heal Xue Ying and purify his mania. I canʼt breathe every time I do. I feel that somewhere in my body is bursting... Argh~ I canʼt... I canʼt lose consciousness~~ʼ Thought of Lin Yven.
