The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1451: Chapter 1468: Xiaonuan Caught at the Hotel (Part 1)

Nangong Yaoling also happily talked.

Lan Jinqin quickly grabbed her son’s hand and gave him a once-over from top to bottom.

”Hmm, my son has become more handsome! But you’re so tall, I have to look up at you!” Lan Jinqin said, her face full of pride.

”Mom, then let’s sit down and talk!” Nangong Yaoling said, pulling his mother towards the sofa.

At that moment, Lan Jinqin seemed to remember something and stopped, looking towards the door.

”What are you looking for?”

”Son, why did you come back alone? Where’s your wife Xiaonuan? Didn’t she come back with you?” Lan Jinqin asked suspiciously.

Nangong Yaoling looked at his mother’s probing eyes and thought of Xia Xiaonuan’s drunken state earlier.

He knew that his mom would be home today. Xiaonuan had amnesia, so seeing her mother-in-law today should be considered as meeting her for the ’first time.’ So... he thought it over on the way and ultimately decided to send Xiaonuan to a hotel.

Otherwise, given his mom’s temperament, seeing Xiaonuan like that would definitely make her angry.

”Oh, right, Mom, I forgot to tell you, Xiaonuan went on a business trip. She’s out of town. She left early this morning, and I’ve been so busy I forgot to mention it. That’s why I didn’t say anything when I called you earlier.”

Lan Jinqin was stunned upon hearing this.

”What? On a business trip?” She frowned and said, ”No wonder, I thought no matter what, Xiaonuan wouldn’t stay out all night, right? You see, I’ve been waiting for her at home all afternoon!”

Lan Jinqin looked at her son, complaining with a face full of grievance.

”Mom, I’m really sorry... It’s my fault, it really is my fault! Xiaonuan didn’t know you were coming back, otherwise she definitely wouldn’t have gone on a business trip! But she should be back tomorrow, and then I’ll have her apologize to you, okay?”

Nangong Yaoling was quite skilled at coaxing his mother, and though Lan Jinqin was raised as a young lady from a wealthy family, she was meticulous in everything and demanding of others. But she adored her son intensely.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, no matter what happens, as long as Nangong Yaoling coaxes Lan Jinqin, even the most unhappy matters can make her laugh.

”You little rascal, apologizing! As long as the two of you are doing well, as long as you are happy, Mom is completely satisfied! You need to know, you are my dear son, I will never let anyone harm you.”

Nangong Yaoling looked at his mother with some suspicion; it was sudden for his mother to say such things, but realizing that sometimes his mom behaves nervously and especially cares about him, he couldn’t help but find it not strange.

So he hurriedly said, ”Look at what you said, no one is harming me, Xiaonuan is a good girl, she’s very good to me.”

Lan Jinqin smiled and said nothing more.

A fragrant aroma wafted from the kitchen.

At this moment, the butler stepped forward and smiled, ”Young Master, dinner has been ready for a while now, Madam was waiting for you, still hasn’t had dinner. Why don’t we have dinner first?”

Upon hearing this, Nangong Yaoling quickly said, ”Mom, why are you waiting for me? You must be starving! Let’s eat first!”

”Hmm, it’s been a long time since I’ve had dinner with you, today it’s just the two of us, we must have a good meal!” Lan Jinqin said, smiling brightly as she stood up.

During dinner, it was mostly Lan Jinqin talking, sharing interesting stories from her travels around the world with Nangong Xiaoyun, saying that if Nangong Yaoling joined them, it would be even more delightful.
