The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1048: Chapter 1068: The Secret of the Necklace

”Yes, Young Master.” Xia Xiaonuan heard the voice and rushed forward nervously, ”Is there any news about Qi Yue?”

Nangong Yaoling said, ”We can’t be sure yet, but rest assured, I’ll tell you immediately if there’s any news. I’ll have the driver take you back later.”

Xia Xiaonuan nodded, ”Okay.”

A silver Mercedes was slowly driving on the highway.

”President, are we going back to the company now?” The driver looked up at the well-dressed young man in white in the back seat and asked respectfully.

Having just finished a social gathering, there was a hint of fatigue in Liang Shaochen’s eyes, hard to notice.

He reached out and rubbed his forehead.

”Alright,” he said blandly.

However, just as the car was passing by a shopping mall, something came to his mind, and he slightly furrowed his brows.

”Stop at the entrance of the mall ahead.”

The driver was slightly taken aback but still nodded, ”Okay, Mr. Liang, I understand.”

At the jewelry counter.

Liang Shaochen’s gaze fell on the ”Heart to Heart” necklace in front of him.

A strange glint flickered in his eyes.

”Sir, are you picking a necklace for your girlfriend?” The sales assistant warmly took out the necklace.

”This is our featured item this season, very beautiful, your girlfriend will definitely like it.”

The shop assistant spoke, looking towards the manager.

The manager gave her a look.

She nodded.

Liang Shaochen looked at the necklace and said straightforwardly, ”Wrap it up for me.”

The shop assistant quickly smiled, ”Alright... By the way, let me get you a new one. This one is the display piece.”

”Okay.” Liang Shaochen nodded carelessly.

The shop assistant bent down and took out a necklace from the corner underneath the counter that had been prepared long ago.

She put it into a brand new exquisite box and then into a shopping bag.

”Sir, please take it.”

Liang Shaochen picked up the shopping bag and walked out the door.

Here, the manager stepped forward.

”Manager An, why did you want to sell that necklace to Mr. Liang?”

Manager An smiled, ”You don’t need to ask about this matter. In the future, if anyone asks, you act like you don’t know and just say it was taken randomly from the counter, understood?”

The shop assistant nodded somewhat in understanding.

”I understand, Manager An.”

Manager An watched Liang Shaochen’s departing figure with a curve of a smile at her lips.

Miss Nangong is indeed affectionate, Mr. Liang and she, they’re a well-matched pair.

She smiled, recalling an incident that happened two days ago.

In the corner of the café.

Nangong Zhongli took out a delicate box from her bag and handed it to the other side of the coffee table.

Sitting across from her was a middle-aged woman, looking at Nangong Zhongli with confusion.

She picked up the box in front of her and opened it.

Inside was a ”Heart to Heart” necklace, identical to the one Nangong Zhongli had seen at the mall before.

”Miss Nangong, this is...” The jewelry store manager looked at her puzzled, ”Didn’t you already buy this necklace last time?”

Nangong Zhongli smiled and said, ”Indeed, but now I hope Manager An can do me a favor.”

”Manager An was stunned for a moment. Miss Zhong Li, you’re a VIP of our company and also a friend of mine. If you need anything, just say the word, there’s no need to be so formal.”

”I want to return this necklace first; maybe in a few days my boyfriend will come to buy it. You know, this necklace only has meaning when a man gives it to a woman. Buying and wearing it myself always feels like something is missing.”
