The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1026: Chapter 1046: A Thief in the House

Yun smiled with tears in her eyes.

”I never thought... there would be such a day!”

”Mom... why are you crying! By the way... even though you’re staying here, for now... let’s not reveal your identity to Xiaonuan yet. After all... if Xiaonuan finds out, it might be a huge blow to her,” Xinmei said.

Yun nodded: ”I understand.”

Xia Zhennan said: ”It’s true that my Xin’er is sensible! Xin’er, dad will make sure to repay you with the love I owe you!”

Xinmei smiled and gently clenched her fist.

Love... she has already lost the person she loved the most.

Once, because of Xia Xiaonuan and Mrs. Xia, her father always feared Mrs. Xia’s suspicion and dared not be too good to her. As a child, she hardly ever felt real fatherly love;

Then, when she grew up, she, with much difficulty, fell for a man, thinking she had finally found happiness. But unexpectedly, Xia Xiaonuan snatched him first, and the Young Master actually married her! What a humiliation it was for her!

Finally, she returned, thinking everything could start anew, only to find that again, because of Xia Xiaonuan, the man she loved the most had died!

Xinmei’s hatred reached its peak!

She bit her lower lip, no matter what, she will never swallow this insult. Xia Xiaonuan, for all the harm you’ve done to me, someday, I will return it all!

Though Yun worked as a maid in the Xia Family for many years, she was indeed a few years younger than Mrs. Xia, and when she gave birth to Xinmei back then, she was not yet twenty.

Hence, with a little dressing up, she now looked relatively youthful.

Mrs. Xia watched her daughter, Xia Zhennan, and the entire luxurious house.

Thinking, after so many years, she has finally waited for this day, reuniting with her daughter and man!

”Director Jin, thank you. For having finance send me the money so quickly.”

In the company, Qi Yue smiled as she looked at Jin Zhengyuan in the office.

Jin Zhengyuan shook his head: ”No problem, after all, your role in this play is finished, and you have matters to attend to elsewhere. This money was supposed to be settled for you.”

Qi Yue smiled gratefully at Jin Zhengyuan.

”By the way... have you and Xiaonuan been in contact recently? The Young Master hasn’t given any instructions, and this play has been halted for a while...”

Qi Yue thought for a moment and said: ”Actually... I’ve contacted Xiaonuan. Her family is going through such a huge issue, she should be back soon.”

Jin Zhengyuan nodded: ”I see, Xiaonuan has it tough as well. I’ll contact her when the time comes.”

”Okay, Director Jin, I’ll head out first.”

”Alright.”

After Qi Yue finished packing her things at the company, she took a cab home.

Just as she was about to use her key to open the door, she found the door was already open!

She was startled, noticing the lock on the door had been forced open, she hurriedly pushed the door and went in.

Once inside, she was completely dumbfounded.

The small room was ransacked, it was a total mess. Cabinets were opened, clothes and some books were thrown on the floor.

She exclaimed in disbelief.

”Could it be... did a thief break in?” Qi Yue spoke to herself, hurrying to the desk by the bed, pulling open drawers to find her cash and bank cards.

Curiously, the drawers were turned upside down, yet her cash and bank cards were all there.

Qi Yue was utterly confused.

”What exactly happened here? Someone came in, it’s not a thief, so was it...”
