The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1039: Chapter 1059: So, You Intend to Meddle

The man didn’t finish speaking before suddenly drawing a knife to slash at Tang Yan.

However, before the knife could come down, he felt a sharp pain in his leg, and with a scream, he collapsed forward.

The knife clattered to the asphalt with a bang, and he fell flat on his face.

”Big brother!”

”Big brother, are you okay?” Several men rushed forward to help him up.

The man was helped to his feet.

Tang Yan had already picked up Qi Yue and headed towards his car.

Opening the car door, he placed Qi Yue inside.

”You brat... it seems you’re really intent on meddling?” the tattooed man said, pointing a knife at Tang Yan.

Tang Yan chuckled, looking at him, ”I originally didn’t plan to get involved, but... you’re too shameless. Not only did you try to kidnap an innocent woman, but you also planned to take advantage of me, an innocent passerby. Sigh... tell me... should I resist, or wait for you to kill me and then steal my car?”

”You—!” Enraged by Tang Yan’s perception, the tattooed man yelled at the others, ”Get him, bring that kid down too!”

”Yes!”

A few men, brandishing knives, charged forward.

Ten minutes later.

The men were sprawled on the ground, rolling in pain, howling.

”I have other matters to attend to today and don’t feel like playing with you,” Tang Yan said, leaning against his car, lazily dusting off his sleeves, looking at the henchmen on the ground.

”I’m in a good mood today, so I’ll spare your lives. Be wise, if I encounter you again, it won’t end so simply...”

Tang Yan said this, turned around, opened his car door, and got in.

The car sped away into the distance.

The henchmen continued to cry out in pain.

”Boss... I... my tendon is severed!”

”My right hand’s tendon... is severed too...”

”Ah—!” They howled in agony.

”...Call... quickly... call for help...” the tattooed man gritted his teeth, spewing blood as he spoke.

At the airport.

Xia Xiaonuan, wearing sunglasses, walked out of the airport alongside Nangong Yaoling.

As soon as they passed through the exit, several plainclothes bodyguards came forward to greet them.

”Young Master! Young Madam, Mr. Qin, you’re back!” Wu Da approached, respectfully addressing Nangong Yaoling and the others.

”Is there any news about Qi Yue?” Xia Xiaonuan asked Wu Da anxiously.

Wu Da lowered his head: ”Not yet...”

A trace of disappointment flashed in Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes.

At that moment, a large hand reached over to her shoulder, pulling her into a tight embrace.

”Xiaonuan, don’t worry... Qi Yue will be fine!” Nangong Yaoling whispered reassuringly in her ear.

Xia Xiaonuan looked up at Nangong Yaoling.

Thinking of something, she said, ”I want to go to Qi Yue’s home first and have a look...”

”Okay, I’ll go with you,” Nangong Yaoling said with a smile.

Xia Xiaonuan felt warmth in her heart and nodded.

Qi Yue’s home remained unchanged.

Several police department leaders, having received the news, quickly arrived with a team of people.

”Young Master... this is the most complete crime scene we’ve preserved. Regarding the disappearance of Miss Qi Yue, we have dispatched people to thoroughly investigate this matter... Rest assured, our police department will definitely give you an answer!” the director said nervously to Nangong Yaoling.

Nangong Yaoling waved his hand.

His gaze fell on the girl before him, who looked utterly dejected.

Xia Xiaonuan sat on the edge of the bed, picking up Qi Yue’s phone.
