The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Someone couldn’t help but laugh at Song Ci’s words.

The scene was described so vividly.

Even Madam Yuan was a bit surprised and helpless; such consolation was really, too straightforward.

”You’re going to make me laugh myself to death, oh my, my stomach.” Princess Anping said, clutching her stomach with laughter, ”Is there nothing else you can say?”

Song Ci: ”When people get old, they don’t like beating around the bush; they just go straight to the point. Madam Yuan, please don’t blame me, and neither should you two young ones. I didn’t mean to make fun of you.”

Both Madam Luo and Madam Li quickly stood up and said they dared not.

Song Ci looked at the two and said, ”Saying Madam Yuan is blessed is also deserved; this twist of fate has given you two good daughters-in-law to take care of you. As for me, I still say the same thing: apart from acceptance, there’s nothing else. Why must you choose between them? One has been your companion for many years, and the other is your son’s confidante, who has given you your grandchildren. They are all family, none can be given up.”

”Actually, in this world, there’s not only romantic love between men and women, but also familial affection. Madam Luo, you’ve been with the Yuan Family for many years, and you have long been part of it. How could you just leave? You’re also a member of the Yuan Family, and they are your family too. Who would be willing to give up their family? As for you...”

Song Ci pointed at Madam Li, ”You and Master Yuan have been wedded for many years, surrounded by love and children. Did you foresee today when you first chose him? Although it is a grievance, you chose him, so you must live up to your choice without regrets, right?”

”If blame is to be assigned, it should be on Master Yuan. If he weren’t so impulsive in his youth, would there be today’s situation, leaving you two wronged? Now that things are settled, no one can give up, so the three of you should sit down and have a sincere discussion to find a way to coexist. After all, there are many decades ahead; a happy day or an unhappy day is still a day, so why not find a comfortable way to live?”

Madam Luo’s eyes were a bit sore; she turned slightly and wiped the corner of her eyes with a handkerchief.

Princess Anping playfully scolded, ”And you say you can’t comfort people, see, your words almost made me cry.”

”This isn’t comfort, it’s touching the heart. In life, find something meaningful to do. Once a person has something to rely on, they won’t just focus on their immediate troubles and feel sorrowful.” Song Ci sighed with a smile, ”How can there be a perfect solution in this world, both serving Buddha and pleasing the lover? Some things can’t achieve a win-win situation; what they call a win-win is just a balance. If you don’t sincerely seek it, you naturally won’t find this balance. So, sit down, have some tea, and talk it out.”

”Did you hear that? Madam has given you advice. Whether you want to listen is up to you.” Princess Anping looked at Madam Luo and Madam Li.

Madam Luo and Madam Li bowed solemnly again.

Song Ci waved her hand, ”No need for that. In this world, apart from life and death, what else is not trivial? None of it is a big deal. You’re still young; don’t get hung up on it. You’ll surely find a way to resolve it.”

A bitter dose of chicken soup, but it invigorates like no other, not wasting my long-winded attempts at playing the rough woman role.

”How can there be a perfect solution in this world, both serving Buddha and pleasing the lover? What immortal poetry is this?”

A faint sigh broke many people’s deep thoughts. Looking back, it was a daughter-in-law, cradling her heart, murmuring in a daze.

Song Ci: ”...”

There’s always someone who’s off-topic.
