New Age Of Summoners

”Ajax, my master is in danger.”

The mutated spirit crane became anxious as it informed Ajax about her master.

”What?”

Ajax was shocked when he heard that because the mutated spirit crane’s master was none other than Princess Daphne, who is a daughter of the King of the Zrochester province.

Who would be daring enough to harm the daughter of the King?

”Let’s go. Guide the way.”

Since a strong contracted spirit beast could sense the fluctuations of its master, Ajax believed the mutated spirit crane’s words and asked it to guide the way towards its master.

’Swoosh’

Soon, the mutated spirit crane flew into the sky with Ajax on its back as it flew to the outer section of the Cursed Wilderness.

...

The outer section of the Cursed Wilderness.

A dozen masked men were surrounding a young girl who seemed to be lightly injured. Beside her, there was an old man who was unconsciously lying on the ground.

The young girl was none other than Princess Daphne and the old man was the Old Lin, who always protected the Princess Daphne.

Currently, they were surrounded by the royal shadows that were sent by her father King Stephen to bring her back.

”Princess Daphne, please don’t trouble us and come back to the royal palace. His Majesty is waiting for you.”

One of the royal shadows said in a calm tone.

”I am not going back with you. The moment he asked you to kill Grandpa Lin and bring me back, he died in my view.”

For the first time in her life, Princess Daphne said such words about her father.

His father had made her endure so much pain from a very young age; however, she had never said such words but when he ordered the royal shadows to kill her grandpa Lin, she felt her father had gone too far.

Compared to her father, Princess Daphne cared a lot for the old man Lin because he looked after her and protected her from the beginning of her life.

”Princess Daphne, His Majesty never asked us to kill him and even now, Old Lin is not dead, he just received a minor soul injury. As long as we take him back, we can easily save him.”

The same royal shadow replied to Princess Daphne with an emotionless tone.

Even though he had mentioned that the old Lin had received only a minor injury, the soul injury was not a minor one.

With the current standards of healing in the Zrochester province, it was impossible for anyone to save the old man Lin.

However, the royal shadow plan was to bring Princess Daphne back to the royal palace. As for the old man Lin, whether he lives or dies, it doesn’t matter to them.

”If something happened to Grandpa Lin, I am going to kill you all along with your master.”

Princess Daphne shouted at the royal shadows before saying, ”Let’s go to the royal palace then.”

Since saving the old man Lin was the primary thing now, Princess Daphne didn’t think much before agreeing to go back with the royal shadows.

”Let’s go.”

The royal shadows heaved a sigh of relief when they heard Princess Daphne’s words and hurriedly tried to go back.

”What is the hurry?”

Just as they decided to move, a young man along with the mutated spirit crane landed on the ground as the young man asked with a slight smile on his face.

”Ajax?”

Of course, it was Ajax who arrived just now, making Princess Daphne surprised.

”Ajax, Grandpa Lin is injured, we have to bring him back to the royal healer to heal him; otherwise, he will…”

Princess Daphne was unable to finish her words as she informed Ajax about the old man Lin’s condition.

”Huh? Injured by whom?”

Ajax could see that an old man was carried by one of the royal shadows as Ajax moved towards them.

”Hey young man, stop wasting our time. We have to bring him back to the royal palace as soon as possible.”

The leader of the group frowned at Ajax’s questions as he asked him to move away.

”A soul injury?”

When he checked the old man Lin’s status, it was mentioned by the system that his soul was injured and needed to be treated as soon as possible.

”He was injured by the royal shadows.”

However, Princess Daphne answered his question before asking, ”But, they promised to help me, Ajax. So, it will not be a problem.”

”Huh?...Haha.”

Hearing Princess Daphne’s words, Ajax frowned for a moment before laughing out loud.

”Princess Daphne, do you think is there someone capable of healing a soul injury in the Zrochester province?”

Ajax’s laugh made all the royal shadows angered; however, since he was an associate of Princess Daphne, no one made any move fearing that Princess Daphne might threaten them with her life.

”...”

Princess Daphne remained silent because she didn’t have an answer to the question because until now, neither she nor anyone close to her had a soul injury.

Moreover, she never visited the royal healer in the royal palace because her Grandpa would help her with any injuries or sickness.

”Since you don’t know the answer, I will tell you this, there is no one in the Zrochester province. Moreover, I guess there were none in the Ylercester province because a healer that could heal the soul injuries is very rare.”

Ajax shook his head as he continued, ”As for why these royal shadows who should be protecting you attacked you and your grandpa Lin while lying about the Astral healer, I don’t know. But I think is sure, you definitely didn’t want to go back to the royal palace, right?”

”You are lying to me?”

Hearing Ajax’s words, Princess Daphne looked at the leader of the royal shadows and angrily asked them before looking at Ajax, ”Ajax, please help me in healing the soul injuries of grandpa Lin.”

Since Ajax seemed to have some knowledge regarding the soul injuries, she asked Ajax to help her.

”Kid, I am going to kill you for defaming us.”

One of the royal shadows rushed towards Ajax to kill him in a single blow.
