Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 391: Chapter 363: Mutated Thunder Rhinoceros Insect, Two Beasts Breaking Through (Part 2)

In the secret realm, Spiritual Energy is not lacking.

It’s just that Spiritual Food is scarce, making their growth a bit slower.

But here with Ye Jingcheng, not only is Spiritual Food abundant, there is also Treasure Light and Bloodline Advancement Pill.

Naturally, advancement happens quicker.

Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but step forward, as twenty Thunder Rhinoceros Insects eagerly approached him.

In this past half-year, the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects had grown accustomed to Ye Jingcheng.

However, the previously inseparable twenty Thunder Rhinoceros Insects were now divided into four groups due to the difference in power.

The first group consisted of four Thunder Rhinoceros Insects with Spiritual Light emanating from their shells, which also had faint Hidden Wings, appearing particularly unique.

Even without triggering lightning, Ye Jingcheng found it somewhat difficult to notice them.

Evidently, the mutation triggered by Amber Crystal caused the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects to grow a pair of Hidden Wings.

According to ancient texts, Amber Crystal is formed from the remains of most ancient Spirit Insects, suggesting that those ancient Spirit Insects were of the invisibility type.

The speed of these four Hidden-Wing Thunder Rhinoceros Insects left the others far behind, comparable to the speed of mid-stage Second Tier Spirit Beasts.

Their foreheads bore Thunder Horns that were thicker, covered in mysterious Thunder Patterns, capable of unleashing terrifying thunder with a slight movement.

Yet, strangely enough, their flexibility and speed remained unaffected.

Ye Jingcheng held the four Hidden-Wing Thunder Rhinoceros Insects in his hand, controlling the Soul Contract to make them use the Thunder Net Divine Technique.

He was curious about what extent the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects combined with Amber Crystal could reach.

Once the Thunder Net was triggered, it too appeared subtle, seeming to inherit the concealment trait of the Hidden Wings.

Following Ye Jingcheng’s direction, the Thunder Net landed half a yard in front of him, instantly blasting a huge pit, turning the soil into scorched earth crackling with Thunder Arcs.

The power was not much weaker than the disposable Thunder Beads he had used previously.

Ye Jingcheng’s eyes burned passionately, knowing that the Thunder Net of Thunder Rhinoceros Insects could be stacked.

Immediately, he took out Spirit Cultivation Pills and rewarded the four Hidden-Wing Thunder Rhinoceros Insects well.

After inspecting these four, Ye Jingcheng turned his attention to the three Tier Two Thunder Rhinoceros Insects that hadn’t mutated.

These three Tier Two Thunder Rhinoceros Insects had also undergone significant changes, most notably with longer wings, larger Thunder Horns, and Thunder Nets spread out upon them.

A detailed examination would reveal that their wing feathers could absorb ambient Spiritual Energy, converting it into Thunder Attribute Spiritual Power.

The longer wing feathers enabled the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects to maintain prolonged aggression.

The power of the Thunder Net far surpassed what it was before.

Lastly, there were three Thunder Rhinoceros Insects that successfully advanced but didn’t break through Tier Two, and ten ordinary Thunder Rhinoceros Insects, which he didn’t test further this time since the lack of breakthrough indicated inherent issues.

He patiently fed each one and infused them with Treasure Light.

Now with seven Tier Two Thunder Rhinoceros Insects and thirteen Tier One Thunder Rhinoceros Insects casting Thunder Nets together, few Foundation Establishment Cultivators could withstand them head-on.

The number of trump cards in his hand had increased once again.

Especially when considering the possibility of a Corpse Daoist lurking in the shadows.

Ye Jingcheng felt even more confident.

“Chirp chirp!” This time, the Golden Falcon in the sky, seeing Ye Jingcheng had not yet looked at him, proactively flew out once more.

It seemed to think it was its turn to advance since all the Spirit Beasts in this Grotto Heaven had done so.

Thus, it circled continuously around Ye Jingcheng in the air.

After experiencing several rounds of Ye Jingcheng’s falconry, the Golden Falcon was now thoroughly tamed, with submission in its eyes when looking at Ye Jingcheng.

Moreover, unlike in the past, there was communication now.

Occasionally, it emitted waves of longing.

This Divine Soul Fluctuation reached its peak after the Thunder Rhinoceros Insects completed their transformation.

Unfortunately, Ye Jingcheng didn’t have a Golden Falcon Pill, or he could have advanced its bloodline and completely subdued it.

But Ye Jingcheng wasn’t in a rush, throwing a Spirit Cultivation Pill towards the Golden Falcon.

The Golden Falcon immediately caught it in its mouth and began swallowing, but after sensing the effects weren’t as effective, it appeared a bit disappointed.

It’s important to note that Ye Jingcheng had been mixing Spirit Cultivation Pills with Spirit Beast Meat for a month, and now it was just a single Spirit Cultivation Pill.

The Golden Falcon chirped but didn’t glare like before; instead, it flew to the pavilion with a look of curiosity.

It seemed to have accepted the reduction in Spiritual Food this time around.

Because in its understanding, Ye Jingcheng would only feed once.

Ye Jingcheng was merely tempering the Golden Falcon’s temperament, intentionally lowering the Spiritual Food standards. If the Golden Falcon still had rebellious tendencies, it couldn’t hide them now.

But clearly, his falconry had been mostly successful.

He summoned the Golden Falcon again, allowing it to land before him.

This time, Ye Jingcheng took out a substantial amount of Spirit Beast Meat and two Spirit Cultivation Pills, along with some Treasure Light for the Golden Falcon.

Unlike before, he added more Treasure Light this time.

If previously there were only three breaths worth of Treasure Light, now it increased to six breaths for the Golden Falcon.

This improvement made the Golden Falcon so excited it nearly wanted to carry Ye Jingcheng on its back, though the Golden Falcon wasn’t a large bird of prey capable of carrying him.

Ye Jingcheng, observing this, felt very satisfied.

On the battlefield now, he could easily command the Golden Falcon, and even if it broke through to become a Purple Mansion Great Demon, it wouldn’t disobey a single command from him.

Ye Jingcheng glanced around the Grotto Heaven, where Spirit Plants were thriving.

The Spirit Beasts were either digesting Spirit Beast Meat or practicing Earth Spike Soul Absorption, while the Wood Demon was under the Peach Wood Spirit Flower, guiding a serpent shadow.

If one looked closely, they would see the serpent shadow’s head was beginning to take on human features.

At this moment, the Stone Spirit had also come to understand most of Ye Jingcheng’s commands and could even operate the Grotto Heaven independently.

…

Spring turned to autumn, and a year and a half passed.

Ye Jingcheng entered the Grotto Heaven anxiously from the small courtyard outside.

The changes in the Grotto Heaven were even more pronounced now, with a blazing sun condensed in the sky. Although it was just a projection of the outside, Ye Jingcheng knew the Stone Spirit was now a truly complete Grotto Heaven.

Moreover, the scope of the Grotto Heaven had expanded, and while it appeared only a few inches wider and taller, this translated to a significant increase in space.

Of course, Ye Jingcheng wasn’t paying much attention to the space or the Stone Spirit, who had started comprehending the Star Diagram.

What attracted him to enter the Grotto Heaven this time was not the Stone Spirit’s growing Spiritual Wisdom, but the Divine Soul Fluctuation from the two beasts telling him.

They were about to break through.

He first looked towards the low-lying area, where the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s aura had reached its peak.

With a flash of White Jade light, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon roared, drawing the attention of all Spirit Beasts in the Grotto Heaven.

Along with the roar, Spiritual Might spread out.

At this moment, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon had evidently taken the first step into the late stage of Tier Two.

Ye Jingcheng felt the Water Attribute Spiritual Power pouring out from the Beast Communication Pattern was greatly purified.

Correspondingly, his own cultivation began to feel somewhat loose.

Before Ye Jingcheng could take out Spirit Beast Meat and Spirit Pills to reward the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, another surge of Fire Attribute Spiritual Power began to gather atop a pavilion on a nearby mountain peak.

The air temperature rose.

It was a stark contrast to the low-lying area of the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon.

Then, the Red Flame Fox suddenly grew significantly larger, its three tails soaring high in the wind, igniting into fierce flames.

The Golden Falcon was frightened by the power of the flames and flew into the sky.

With a lilting cry, a wave of red Spiritual Might spread out.

The Red Flame Fox also broke through to the late stage of Tier Two!

Ye Jingcheng was overjoyed.

Although the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s talent was superior, the easier refining of Fire Beast Pills compared to Ren Shui Pills meant the Red Flame Fox consumed more Fire Beast Pills, leading to both beasts breaking through simultaneously.

Both reached the late stage of Tier Two.

At that moment, both the Red Flame Fox and Jade Qilin Flood Dragon communicated Divine Soul Fluctuations to Ye Jingcheng, one proudly announcing its breakthrough.

The other expressed a greatly increased appetite!

However, Ye Jingcheng didn’t have the time to delve into the psychological thoughts of the two beasts.

He felt an overwhelming surge of pure Spiritual Power within himself.

This was likewise his opportunity for a breakthrough.

Ye Jingcheng took out the prepared Ren Shui Pill and Fire Beast Pill, along with Spirit Beast Meat for both.

He then sat next to the Spiritual Eye Spring and began cultivating on his own.
