Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 384: Chapter 358: Ye Family Tavern

The golden dusk, casting its golden afterglow, slowly descends at the end of the mountain range.

A grand evening banquet is taking place in the Ye Family’s plaza.

The fragrance of the spirit dishes and the smokey ambiance rise with the gentle breeze, drifting dozens of miles.

For the low-tier cultivators of the Ye Family, the only distress is that the spiritual food before them is out of the ordinary; they can’t eat much without turning red-faced and feeling a surge of spiritual light.

In the end, they can only keep drinking the Spring Tea.

The high-tier cultivators are also greatly satisfied with the various spiritual cuisines of the Ye Family.

Though they have never opened a restaurant, for a family skilled with spirit beasts, they excel not only in raising them but also in consuming them.

Many who hadn’t shown their skills before now reveal extraordinary culinary talents.

After all, the Ye Family is planning to open a restaurant; their previously unremarkable skills in preparing spirit cuisines have now become extremely valuable, and done well, can even rival high-tier alchemists.

In the Assembly Hall, the high-ranking members of the Ye Family, various hall masters, and a few elderly members of the Sea Generation are all present.

This group exchanges smiles and drinks, though instead of wine, it’s tea they are exchanging.

Ye Xinghe’s face remains ruddy, his large frame more luminous than before, as if he has indulged in too much spiritual cuisine.

It also seems like the increasing status of the family’s market has added more pride to his demeanor.

For Ye Xinghe, who excels in presenting a friendly appearance, his guise can win over many.

However, on closer inspection, there is worry in his eyes.

The Kong Family and Jin Family have set up branches, and any industry they casually develop will impact the profits of the original Taihang Market.

The entrance of two Golden Core clans is absolutely detrimental.

The only thing the Ye Family can do is align their industry more with the Taiyi Sect to give the Jin and Kong families some pause.

Additionally, between the Kong and Jin families, the Ye Family is obliged to favor the Jin Family, showing them goodwill, as the Kong Family is likely to target the Ye Family.

Of course, the most crucial thing is to understand why the Jin and Kong families are entering the market.

After all, the Taiyi Sect is such a large sect, and they took action against the Zhong Family, indicating they are not the type to fear subordinate Golden Core clans.

The fact that they are allowing these two families to set up branches in the Taihang Commandery already indicates significant issues.

Not understanding the underlying reasons could easily lead to a misstep.

“Is the restaurant plan ready?” Ye Jingcheng suddenly asked.

If not for the Jin and Kong families, he wouldn’t be worried, but the Kong Family is also capable of running a restaurant.

Especially with the Zhong Family’s downfall, the largest restaurant market is repossessed by the Taiyi Sect, and inevitably, much of the industry falls into the Kong Family’s hands.

This profitable situation may tempt the Kong Family to immerse themselves in it, opening restaurant spirit cuisine businesses in the Taihang Commandery ahead of others.

The Ye Family now only has the advantage of being the first to act.

After all, the largest group in the Taihang Market is the Qi Cultivation Loose Cultivators, and even Foundation Establishment cultivators rarely appear.

“It’s ready.” Ye Xinghe nodded; this banquet is a rehearsal for the restaurant’s opening.

Not even wine is consumed, all replaced with spirit tea.

He had naturally prepared everything well in advance.

He took out a jade talisman to show Ye Jingcheng.

Ye Jingcheng reviewed the plan, then handed the jade talisman to Ye Haicheng for the elders of the family to see as well.

After everyone had looked, they hesitated before speaking.

Ye Xinghe’s strategy is to connect the Ye Family’s spirit pills and spirit beast businesses, making the three shops an integrated whole; spending over a thousand spirit stones across the shops will offer a discount of ten spirit stones for the next purchase, along with a complimentary Spring Tea.

Simultaneously, the Ye Family will promote Cyan Bamboo Wine soaked with spirit snakes as the main spirit wine.

Previously, the Mo Family couldn’t cultivate the cyan snake in large numbers, but the Ye Family can.

Ye Jingcheng also tasted this spirit wine, which surpasses ordinary Cyan Bamboo Wine.

Each part of the strategy seems completely feasible.

However, this feasibility holds only in the absence of competition.

If there is competition, the Ye Family might open to no avail.

“Uncle, the family’s signature spirit cuisine should be changed from the Three-Sectioned Red Joint Fish to the Star-Feeding Fish, but it will only be made once every three months with no reservations accepted!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Xinghe’s eyes lit up, but he glanced at Ye Haicheng and Ye Xingqun.

The Ye Family only has a little over a hundred Star-Feeding Fish, and even if they expedite their breeding now, it would take five to six years to mature.

Three-month servings require four a year.

Considering the family’s supply to body cultivators, there might not be enough at all.

But the effectiveness is undeniable. The renown of the Star-Feeding Fish is immense; only the Ye Family and Taiyi Sect have them in the entire Yan Kingdom, and since the Taiyi Sect is unlikely to offer them, that leaves only the Ye Family.

Not to mention qi cultivation cultivators, those body cultivators would still flock to the Taihang Market.

“No worries, we start with four tails per month to build a reputation, lest the Taiyi Sect thinks we are holding back.”

“Additionally, we should open up some restaurant accommodations; after all, the market has spiritual energy, and strong body cultivators still possess some spirit stones,” Ye Jingcheng confidently stated.

“Secondly, initiate the Tier Two Spirit and Flesh Banquet, which must be reserved half a month in advance; if we receive a booking and don’t have the stock, we will venture into the Taihang Mountain Range to hunt Tier Two Demon Beasts. I will handle this!” Ye Jingcheng declared.

The Mo Family previously offered Tier Two Spirit and Flesh Banquets, but because capturing Tier Two Demon Beasts was extremely difficult, the Mo Family gradually abandoned it.

After all, having the meat doesn’t guarantee the demand, and Foundation Establishment Loose Cultivators are rare in the Taihang Market.

When there are customers, there might not be Tier Two Spirit Beast meat available at the time.

But the Ye Family differs; they aim to build fame now. The Ye Family has more Tier Two Spirit Beasts and is familiar with the Taihang Mountain Range, capable of hunting a few Tier Two Demon Beasts.

Even if Tier Two Demon Beasts’ inner cores can’t be refined into Foundation Establishment Pills, the Ye Family would have likely hunted them in large numbers already.

However, for Ye Jingcheng, obtaining inner cores from slaying Tier Two Demon Beasts can also refine spirit pills, which can enhance his four lifebound spirit beasts.

“Additionally, prepare a hundred Spirit Barrier Jade Talismans, five of which contain rewards, available for all cultivators dining at the restaurant; winners will receive a Tier Two Red Section Fish spirit dish as a prize!” Ye Jingcheng added.

The two-sectioned Red Section Fish is a Tier One middle-grade spirit dish, costing twenty to thirty spirit stones per serving.

With a one-in-twenty chance, many cultivators would try their luck.

Combined with the Ye Family’s VIP system, at least in small tricks, they would win over the loose cultivators.

This is akin to the Ye Family’s spirit pill business strategy when opening in the Taichang Market.

As for those attraction and guidance strategies, Ye Jingcheng provided a jade talisman for Ye Xinghe to decide upon himself.

The Taihang Market is, after all, different from the flow of people at the Taichang Market.

When the Ye Family opens a restaurant in the Taichang Market in the future, they will come in handy.

“Additionally, for the restaurant opening, we must invite Supreme Taihao and Tianzhen Ascendant, and ideally, Liu Huan and other core disciples from the Taiyi Sect’s Illusion Peak as well. If they come, they will receive a fifty percent discount on the spirit stones for purchasing Jade Soul Pills in the future!” Ye Jingcheng announced.

This way, the restaurant will be well-rounded both in terms of background and strategies.
