Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 383: Chapter 357: Talent Assessment

In the plaza in front of the Ye Family’s Assembly Hall, many people were whispering to each other at this moment.

Not to mention those early-stage Qi Cultivation cultivators, even the middle-aged clan members at the late stage of Qi Cultivation couldn’t understand what talent identification was?

And how it could enable each Spirit Beast of the Ye Family to break through once.

The Ye Family originally judged various Spirit Beasts in two ways.

One was the growth limit of the Spirit Beast itself.

This was the easiest to judge, after all, based on the Ye Family’s ancient records and market records, it’s very clear how far a Spirit Beast can grow.

As for breaking that limit, no one would consider it.

The cost was too high; it was better to leave these resources for themselves, allowing their own cultivation to break through, thereby controlling Spirit Beasts with higher talents.

And the second was to check the blood qi situation and body size among similar Spirit Beasts to simply judge the overall performance of such Spirit Beasts.

This second judgment also depended on the Ye Family’s own experience.

They didn’t really understand the true limit of the Spirit Beasts either.

Otherwise, at that time, with bloodline Spirit Beasts like the Red Flame Fox and Jade Qilin Snake, the Ye Family wouldn’t have been unable to distinguish them.

“This matter involves family secrets, not to be inquired at will. Those willing can take, those unwilling, the family does not force!” At this moment, the Hall Master of the Beast Hunting Hall, Ye Xingqun, also spoke.

This instantly made the entire scene fall silent again.

The Ye Family members were very sensitive to matters of secrecy, and upon hearing Ye Xingqun say this, they understood.

Ye Jingcheng saw this and nodded as well.

This bloodline enhancing Fire Attribute Spirit Pill was only a Tier One Spirit Pill, able to enhance some bloodlines, and the family had already discussed this.

Currently, the Ye Family was already quite mysterious at the Taiyi Sect, if they revealed nothing at all, it would make the Taiyi Sect feel the Ye Family was too mysterious and had hidden intentions.

But now, by revealing a little, it allowed the Taiyi Sect to feel they had more grasp over the Ye Family, while also covering for the performance of Ye Jingcheng’s Red Flame Fox and Golden Scale Beast.

After all, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon and Four-Colored Cloud Deer hadn’t been exposed yet, but the former two had been exposed at Chixia Ridge.

The terrifying growth extent had not yet attracted anyone because they were only Tier Two Spirit Beasts and he was only a Foundation Establishment Cultivator.

A Spirit Beast family with a hundred years of heritage making some resource adjustments for a Spirit Body Cultivator was still quite possible.

As for why the family declared secrecy?

One reason was to confuse the audience, it was also the Ye family’s secret, after all, it hadn’t been revealed before.

Secondly, this bloodline ascension also had risks, although the family improved the talent identification and refined the Vein-Protecting Pill, it still couldn’t ensure a hundred percent success.

Family members still needed to bear a thirty percent risk of exploding and dying.

If it failed, the family certainly wouldn’t bear the cost for the Spirit Beasts’ advancement of the members.

“May I ask the Patriarch, why only Fire Attribute Spirit Beasts?” At this moment, another family member inquired.

“All Spirit Beasts will be included in the future, but currently the success rate for Fire Attribute Spirit Beasts is the highest!” Ye Jingcheng spoke directly.

As these words came out, everyone fell silent.

But the expectation in their eyes was undisguisable.

Since it was a family secret and had undergone thorough research, there was no need to worry.

For those cultivators with Spirit Beasts, it was a great boon.

With Spirit Beast alchemy becoming increasingly feasible, and the Ye Family’s support for Alchemy Masters, this was a tremendous opportunity.

Moreover, for the Ye Family, issuing such Spirit Pills was also the most critical step to elevate the Ye Family’s cultivators to the foundation of the Purple Mansion Clan.

If this step was taken well, it was conceivable that the Foundation Establishment cultivators and Tier Two Spirit Beasts of the Ye Family would grow at a terrifying rate.

By that time, even the Foundation Establishment Pill wouldn’t be able to restrain the Ye Family’s development.

The emergence of the Jin Family and Kong Family’s separation would certainly squeeze the Ye Family’s share of Foundation Establishment Pills and financial income.

“Alright, today’s family reforms will end here, next, we will conduct Spirit Root testing and bloodline identification!” Ye Jingcheng took a deep breath.

Hosting a clan meeting on stage was entirely different from watching it below, especially with Ye Haiyun watching, he even felt like there were many hidden clan members watching from the mountain peaks.

If the Ye Family were just an ordinary Purple Mansion Clan, he wouldn’t necessarily be nervous.

Upon hearing the Ye Family conduct bloodline identification, the Immortal Children who had just ascended the mountain began to grow nervous.

Especially in the Immortal Seedling area of the Li Family, although they did not understand the significance of the Li and Ye Family transformations, nor the differences between this batch of Immortal Masters and the previous ones.

But in the village, the mortals of the Ye Family, now akin to officials, commanded everything, telling a lot.

They couldn’t help but clench their fists, yet were full of expectation.

These people also stayed at the end.

Ye Jingcheng led all the Immortal Seedlings to the Ancestral Hall and took out the Spirit Disc to test the family’s bloodline.

This time among thirty-something people, no abnormal Spirit Roots appeared, only one child with Fire and Wood Dual Spirit Roots.

His eyes were extremely bright and bloodlines from the Ye Family were detected, the clan elder who brought him to immortal ascension was also full of admiration.

For them, a Dual Spirit Root clan member came with a handsome reward.

“What’s your name?” Ye Jingcheng asked.

“Patriarch, my name is Ye Yan.” The child’s face was full of innocence and nervousness.

He originally wanted to say Immortal Master, but thinking of the plaza, with Ye Jingcheng becoming Patriarch, he changed his title.

“You are the eldest, thus the first of the Qing Generation, from now on you are Ye Qingyan!” Ye Jingcheng spoke to this righteous cultivator.

He felt the child was somewhat perceptive because he was the first to address him as Patriarch.

Moreover, his Spirit Roots were Fire and Wood, making him a natural Alchemy Master, which for the Ye Family, a big consumer of Spirit Stones, having a skill was extremely necessary.

This was why most of the Ye Family members were either Alchemy Masters or Artifact Refiners.

The remaining Immortal Seedlings did not attract much of Ye Jingcheng’s attention, three Three Spirit Roots, ten Four Spirit Roots, and twenty Five Spirit Roots.

He felt nothing about these Five Spirit Root cultivators, this was the Ye Family after all, comprehension, loyalty, and Beast Communication Pattern were very important.

Moreover, he himself was a Four Spirit Root, cultivating the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture, and became the most talented in the Ye Family.

Of course, he clearly knew others could not replicate his cultivation path.

After all, he had the Treasure Book, could restore Spiritual Energy to Spirit Beasts, and enhance the absorption rate of Spiritual Food for Spirit Beasts, which others could not do.

But in general, Four and Five Spirit Roots still had a path as long as they worked hard.

This time eleven people without Ye Family bloodline, one Three Spirit Root, two Four Spirit Roots, and eight Five Spirit Roots appeared.

These eleven people would be told options to complete family duties when the family Miscellaneous Affairs Hall teaches Dao to them.

Or, if they start a family within the Ye Family clan, they could become Ye Family bloodline clan members again.

After all, these children were cultivated since young, as long as they could be tied to the Ye Family, there was no need to worry about betrayal.

The clan’s studies were not just for show.

Ye Jingcheng felt relieved after handling this matter, once he became the family Patriarch, and once various halls were established, he no longer needed to manage much.

And next was the banquet, as it was a clan meeting, there would naturally be a banquet.

This banquet would also select the more adept Spirit Chefs of the Ye Family, who would then become the first batch of Spirit Chefs at the restaurant.

Ye Jingcheng initially wanted to try himself, but remembering he was the Patriarch, he discarded the idea.

He simply walked to Ye Xingqun and inquired him.

“Seventh Uncle, how many Fire Attribute Spirit Beasts have registered in the family?”

“Nineteen!” Ye Xingqun replied.

Although the Ye Family had few cultivators, it was normal for one person to have two to three Spirit Beasts, especially for middle and late-stage Qi Cultivation cultivators.

This was the Ye Family’s losses at Chixia Ridge, otherwise, this number would have been higher.

“Prepare to let them consume the Fire Sincerity Pill tomorrow.” Ye Jingcheng nodded as well.

This Fire Sincerity Pill was an optimized version of the Red Flame Pill, named by Ye Haiyun, unchanged until now. Even Ye Jingcheng felt embarrassed, he couldn’t change it now.

He was only cautiously aware that the optimized names of Golden Scale Pill and Jade Qilin Pill should not be like this, naming them Water Rank Pill and Earth Rank Pill was better.

More convenient to remember, and less flashy.
