Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 359: Chapter 336: Cultivation Status Quo

After several rounds of drinks, everyone dispersed.

Ye Jingcheng also returned to his room. He sat at the table and poured himself a long-awaited cup of Spring Tea.

As the taste of the tea entered his throat, a refreshing fragrance filled his entire body.

The warmth in his body caused by the Star-Feeding Fish and Jade Wave Wine seemed to have subsided considerably.

His eyes became clearer, and he shook his head to dispel any feelings of melancholy.

Then he sat on the stone bed and started practicing the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture.

As the Four-Phase Spiritual Power flowed within his body, a faint mist evaporated around him, quickly dissipating into the air.

This was the wine vapor from the Jade Wave Wine.

With the wine vapor emitted, only the spiritual energy from the Spiritual Cuisine he consumed earlier remained in his body.

For cultivators, this kind of Spiritual Cuisine needs to be refined promptly; otherwise, the miscellaneous spiritual energy will be automatically expelled.

In that case, the effect of the Spiritual Cuisine would only be to satisfy hunger.

Of course, he couldn’t truly waste the spiritual energy of the Spiritual Cuisine.

The Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture was activated again, and his thoughts began to slowly become peaceful, combined with the tea’s influence, he soon immersed himself in cultivation.

It took him a full two hours before Ye Jingcheng opened his eyes.

“Considering my cultivation, if the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment is divided into the fifth, sixth, and seventh tiers, I should be at the Foundation Establishment Fifth Layer!”

Ye Jingcheng looked at the intense Four-Phase Spiritual Light within him, and the spiritual energy was incredibly refined. He couldn’t help but excitedly guess.

Foundation Establishment is different from Qi Cultivation; the spiritual energy amount in Qi Cultivation is gaseous, easy to observe for density and quantity, so it can be subdivided into nine layers.

But at Foundation Establishment, the gaseous spiritual energy has transformed into Liquid Spiritual Power, and the condensation level is not as easy to differentiate as in Qi Cultivation.

So the Cultivation Realm only divides Foundation Establishment into early, middle, and late stages.

It’s worth knowing that since he broke through to the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment, it’s only been a little over a year, and having such cultivation already made him quite satisfied.

Of course, he’s also aware that the reason for his rapid progress is partly because the Three-Colored Cloud Deer broke through, and partly because the Wood Demon can now reside in the Stone Spirit Grotto Heaven, replenishing his Wood Attribute Spiritual Power.

Compared to before, the four phases have become much more balanced, accelerating his cultivation progress significantly.

The Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture requires a balance of the four phases, which is indeed a drawback of the cultivation technique, but at the same time, if balanced, it becomes an advantage!

Therefore, the Ye Family can only roughly assess the cultivation technique at the Profound Tier regarding its rank, while the distinctions between upper, middle, and lower tiers remain ambiguous.

At the moment, his Water Phase is the strongest, followed by the Fire Phase.

Within the Beast Communication Pattern, four distinct types of spiritual power continue to flow into his body like gentle streams.

Upon observation, he was surprised to find that the spiritual energy levels of both the Red Flame Fox and Jade Qilin Flood Dragon rose slightly again.

It seems they are close to breaking through to the late stage of Tier Two.

Thinking about this, Ye Jingcheng immediately took out the Stone Spirit and then entered the Grotto Heaven.

After sorting and replenishing it with the soil from the Secret Realm.

Currently, a small mountain peak has appeared within the Grotto Heaven, along with a tiny Spirit Medicine Garden.

Atop the mountain, a pavilion has been set up. Of course, this pavilion is not an ordinary object but an upper-grade Tier One Magical Artifact.

This was something he discovered among his many spoils and directly used it within the Grotto Heaven.

Above the Spirit Medicine Garden, Ye Jingcheng has set up and protected the Spiritual Eye Spring with an array.

The exterior of the Spiritual Eye Spring is surrounded by Purple Jade Vine.

Currently, the dried yellow Purple Jade Vine has already displayed a hint of purple.

As long as there’s this purple hue, it signifies that the Purple Jade Vine can survive here, indicating that his Grotto Heaven can support Purple Jade Vine growth.

But whether it can bear fruit still depends on whether the purple spreads across all the vines and if they continue to grow. If not, Ye Jingcheng would have to transplant it out and let the family cultivate it.

Of course, even if successful, it would take considerable years for the Purple Jade Vine to mature.

Ye Jingcheng quickly shifted his attention from the Purple Jade Vine and the myriad spirit medicines to the Red Flame Fox placed in the pavilion and the distant Jade Qilin Flood Dragon.

The Jade Qilin Flood Dragon rested at the lowest point of the entire Secret Realm, in stark contrast to the Red Flame Fox, as if preparing to create a mire there.

Upon seeing Ye Jingcheng emerge, the distant Red Flame Fox immediately sprinted over to him, calling out as if expressing its longing, while persistently nudging Ye Jingcheng’s robe with its forehead.

Now it had shrunk in size, and its calls became quite urgent, as if wanting Ye Jingcheng to pick it up.

The Red Flame Fox performed well in the Secret Realm, so Ye Jingcheng promptly picked it up. He indeed found that the Red Flame Fox’s cultivation had reached the peak of the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment.

As the first bloodline spirit beast to consume a Tier Two Red Flame Pill, the Red Flame Fox has always been leading the way.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng also took out some Demon Beast Inner Cores from Red Roc and Fire-Devouring Sparrow, having slain numerous Fire Attribute Demon Beasts while exploring Chixia Ridge.

He planned to feed the meat and inner core of these demon beasts to the Red Flame Fox, hoping it would break through to the late stage of Tier Two sooner, further boosting his cultivation.

Of course, he also had plans to research spirit pills based on inner cores, for which he might need to consult cultivators from his family’s Hidden Peak.

If nothing unexpected happens, the Ye Family should have established themselves in the Cyan Cloud Sea Domain.

The pill formula for refining spirit pills from Demon Beast Inner Cores should have been gathered somewhat.

Once the auction ends, he intends to return to Lingyun Peak.

Of course, if possible, he also wishes to venture into the Cyan Cloud Sea Domain.

Ye Jingcheng fed the Red Flame Fox a Purple Lotus Pill, a Tier Two Fire Attribute Spirit Pill, which was also his spoil of war, and he had only one, making it a perfect reward for the Red Flame Fox.

After feeding the Red Flame Fox Spirit Beast Meat and Spirit Pill, Ye Jingcheng also looked at the distant Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, its injuries seemingly mostly healed.

It lay there, its mouth wide open, revealing sharp fangs.

Moreover, through comparison, Ye Jingcheng noticed that the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s fangs seemed to have become sharper due to Xu Hanqing’s tribulation.

At this moment, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon was softly roaring, a sound somewhat reminiscent of a flood dragon’s roar, yet also akin to a serpent’s hiss.

This was because the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon was still a half-flood dragon, and its vocal cords hadn’t completely transformed. Through the soul contract, Ye Jingcheng also understood that the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon currently desired spirit beast blood food and also wished to soak in the Spiritual Eye Spring.

Naturally, Ye Jingcheng couldn’t agree to the latter unreasonable request. He merely took out several Cloud Lion and Flame Wolf corpses to satiate the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s hunger, and he also noticed that the current aura of the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon was stronger than that of the Red Flame Fox.

In other words, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon might break through the late second tier faster than the Red Flame Fox.

It was very likely to break through in two to three years.

This made Ye Jingcheng more excited.

It should be noted that the Red Flame Fox broke through nearly a year before the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon.

“Roar!” After feeding the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon and the Red Flame Fox, a low roar came from afar.

It was the Golden Scale Beast joyfully running over.

Its mouth was dripping with saliva, revealing half of its fangs, bouncing with excitement.

It seemed to be telling Ye Jingcheng that it had worked hard in the secret realm as well, and it too wanted spirit pills, spirit beast meat, and treasure light.

Ye Jingcheng didn’t hesitate either. He specifically hunted down several Armor-Piercing Beasts and Golden Scale Beasts, providing more meat than the Red Roc and Fire-Devouring Sparrow.

The Golden Scale Beast was equally excited, as if consuming this would enable it to defeat the Red Flame Fox, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, and the Three-Colored Cloud Deer.

Even its disdainful gaze swept across all the spirit beasts in the grotto heaven.

Of course, when it gazed at the Golden Falcon perched on the pavilion, it couldn’t help shrinking its neck.

It truly feared that one!

Moreover, the latter would never tolerate its provocation.

After all, all other spirit beasts listened to Ye Jingcheng, but that Golden Falcon did not!

Ye Jingcheng infused the Golden Scale Beast with a bit of treasure light and then also spoke:

“You need to work hard, I’ll prepare an advancement spirit pill for you in a few months, don’t fail then!”

With these words, its golden pupils immediately lit up, as if it no longer feared the Golden Falcon upon seeing it…

Watching this scene, Ye Jingcheng felt a bit helpless, but with the Golden Scale Beast having such ambition, he couldn’t bear to discourage it.

The Ye Family’s notes on spirit beast rearing included one point, which emphasized the importance of a spirit beast’s confidence.

Finally, Ye Jingcheng looked toward the Three-Colored Cloud Deer.

The Three-Colored Cloud Deer, having broken through for the shortest time, was constantly shuttling through the Spirit Medicine Garden, sipping every time it found spirit dew.

However, since the grotto heaven was still at its initial stage, there was little spirit dew, forming only with the spiritual energy leaking from the Spiritual Eye Spring into droplets on the spirit medicines.

Yet the Three-Colored Cloud Deer delighted in running around tirelessly.

Fearing it would miss even a trace of spirit dew.

“Its nose seems to have grown a bit!” Ye Jingcheng looked at the Three-Colored Cloud Deer, suddenly somewhat perplexed.

In the secret realm, spirits like the residual soul blood shadow of the Kong Family’s Kong Wanling and the residual soul of the Corpse Daoist were all absorbed by the Three-Colored Cloud Deer. At that moment, he feared the deer might face something unexpected.

Such as soul possession or spirit takeover.

After a thorough soul contract check, not only did nothing appear amiss, but there was good news: the Three-Colored Cloud Deer’s absorbing ability was stronger.

With full force, Ye Jingcheng felt his divine soul somewhat out of sync with his physical body.

This clearly indicated that the Three-Colored Cloud Deer seemed to have mutated.

This brought even more joy to Ye Jingcheng.

He then called the Three-Colored Cloud Deer to his side, fed it some spirit medicines, and also infused it with a significant amount of treasure light.

This made the Three-Colored Cloud Deer boldly puff up its chest, eagerly stomping its hooves.

Next, he planned to focus on cultivating all four spirit beasts.

He prepared the Three-Colored Cloud Deer and the Golden Scale Beast for a bloodline advancement, while aiming to push the Red Flame Fox and the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon to break through.

As for the Golden Falcon above, Ye Jingcheng didn’t even provide regular feedings.

Sometimes, judging whether a spirit beast is submissive can be seen in its eyes.

The Golden Falcon now was obviously forced to submit due to his soul contract, its gaze occasionally showing a hint of ferocity.

Ye Jingcheng wasn’t surprised by this; the Wood Demon had similarly been very tenacious initially.

But now, the Peach Wood Demon even reinforced the spiritual soil within the grotto heaven, putting more effort into cultivating the Spiritual Peach.

It was merely a matter of enduring; Ye Jingcheng had plenty of time to do so.

Moreover, the Golden Falcon wasn’t significantly beneficial to his cultivation, providing more assistance in battles or speed during escapes.

After inspecting all four spirit beasts and the Golden Falcon, Ye Jingcheng used treasure light to catalyze the Wood Demon. At present, he didn’t have both the Stone Square and Wooden Square complete, and he planned to seek help from the Jin Family and the sect.

The Wood Demon could extend life, while the Stone Spirit could expand the grotto heaven area and increase spiritual wisdom, both crucial to Ye Jingcheng.

After dealing with matters in the grotto heaven, Ye Jingcheng examined the Five Poison Bees.

During this secret realm journey, what he lost most was not anything else, but his Five Poison Bees.

Out of about two thousand Five Poison Bees, aside from those left to guard at Lingyun Peak, less than three hundred remained in his hands.

Even the second-tier Six-Color Bee had perished.

Moving forward, he no longer intended to select the most combative or ferocious Five Poison Bees, but focused on those with a keen sense of smell and intelligence.

Thus forming an exploration team.

Subsequently, his heart and spirit focused entirely on the last Spirit Beast Bag.

Within it was precisely the Thunder Rhinoceros Insect.
