Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 237: Chapter 236: Ye Hu

The sky was gradually getting darker, and the setting sun cast its afterglow on both sides of the town, drawing long shadows.

The black tiles were also covered with a layer of dark red.

The crowd at the Immortal Hall had already dispersed, leaving only a group of mortals still talking eagerly about which family’s child became an immortal.

And the forest guardian who spread the news had suddenly become the most popular person in the town.

The scent of fireworks still rose, and as those who worked outside returned, the streets and alleys became even more lively.

At this moment, a Spiritual Ship rose from the Immortal Hall.

A few children landed on the edge of the Spiritual Ship, watching the streets gradually recede, while the scent of steamed buns still wafted upwards.

They swallowed their saliva, then seemed to search for their home’s location with their hands, their mouths slightly open, but ultimately remained silent.

The three children were unusually quiet, and Ye Jingcheng also piloted the ship very slowly.

Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but recall that before he entered the mountains, the old town chief told him that immortals liked quiet and sensible children, which brought a slight smile to his face.

As they entered the clouds, White Cloud Town finally became distant, and they could only see the elongated spirit fields, with the seedlings reflecting golden light.

The children exchanged smiles upon seeing this scene because when they grew to be half as tall as humans, that would be their paradise…

“This is a Fasting Pill, after you start cultivating, you will have to avoid mortal grains. This pill will be your regular dosage, but for now, it’s enough if the three of you take one-third!” Ye Jingyu took out a Fasting Pill and divided it into three parts.

The three children, having Spirit Roots, naturally had no problem taking the Fasting Pill.

Moreover, it was good for them to become familiar with the Fasting Pill early.

On Lingyun Peak, there was no mortal food or grains; even if there were, newly arrived clan members were not allowed to eat them.

This was not conducive to laying the initial Dao Foundation.

Following behind Ye Ting and Ye Ming was a slightly frail boy with skin even darker than Ye Ming’s.

His name was Ye Hu, and his Spirit Root was the Thunder Spirit Root, which was considered the first-rate Spirit Root within the Ye Family. If paired with a Thunder Attribute Spirit Beast, the cultivation speed would likely be terrifying.

Therefore, Ye Jingcheng didn’t go to Feng County but turned directly to Lingyun Peak.

The Thunder Spirit Root was of considerable importance, and fortunately, those mortals from the Ye Family were waiting outside the Immortal Hall, so there was no need to worry about the news leaking out.

If that news got out, the Taiyi Sect might really come for him.

After all, at just over ten years old, being taken into the Taiyi Sect would easily cultivate loyalty.

That would be a loss for the Ye Family; most importantly, the Ye Family had just refused the Sect, and being rejected again would be a slap in the face.

Of course, how to guide them in the future would also take some thought, otherwise, if the sense of family honor was weak, it would be difficult to prevent them from joining the Sect.

Just like his older brother, Ye Jingteng.

It was said that his brother Ye Jingteng wasn’t from the mortal world but was a son of the Ye Family’s Xing Generation.

At eighteen, he also resolutely chose the Sect.

Ye Hu’s attire was simple, as he came from a small village beneath White Cloud Town.

The three of them obediently swallowed the Fasting Pill, as the Immortal Ascension Conference was held in the morning, and they only had some cakes to fill their stomachs in the morning.

After taking the Fasting Pill, the eyes of the three brightened noticeably.

Especially Ye Hu, who even asked Ye Jingyu if he could send some of these Immortal Pills to his parents in the future.

Clearly, he hadn’t expected the Fasting Pill to be so miraculous.

“Your parents and siblings will be taken to the town, where they will have a large house, good lands, and official positions; you need not worry about their food and clothing!” Ye Jingyu said with a smile.

At this moment, she was genuinely happy.

After all, with one Thunder Spirit Root, one Three Spirit Root, and one Four Spirit Root, the contribution points she could gain would be over a hundred points.

In this regard, the family was not stingy.

Because it was a Tier Two Spiritual Ship and the distance from White Cloud Town wasn’t far, it took less than three hours to reach Lingyun Peak.

The magnificence of Lingyun Peak left Ye Ting, Ye Ming, and Ye Hu speechless, with their mouths agape.

Upon reaching Lingyun Peak, even Ye Jingcheng had to climb up the mountain on foot.

At the foot of the mountain, there was a dedicated Dao Transmission Hall to receive the family’s Immortal Seedlings.

When Ye Jingcheng arrived, other clan members had already returned with Immortal Seedlings.

Ten towns, a total of five groups went to hold the Immortal Ascension Conference, two people per group.

Each group was responsible for two to three towns, while in the Buqing Mountain area, the Ye Family did not conduct the Immortal Ascension Conference this time.

Mainly because the loss there was considerable, there were not many children of the right age, and it had no relation to the Ye Family; instead, it was prone to disasters.

“Jingcheng, you got three this time?” Like Ye Jingcheng, Ye Jingyong also participated in the Immortal Ascension Conference. During this time, the clan cultivators were extremely busy, Jade Dragon Valley had been reclaimed, and the restaurant was in preparation.

“Luck is on our side!” Ye Jingcheng responded with a smile.

Ye Xingliu also descended from the sky, with Ye Haiyun, Ye Haiyang, and Ye Haiping following behind.

Ye Jingcheng had already sent a transmission to the Patriarch en route.

So he wasn’t surprised by the first two, but the last, Ye Haiping, who was in charge of the Pill Pavilion, was unexpected.

Yet thinking about the latter’s nature, it made sense.

“Let’s go, hold the blood-testing ceremony first!” Ye Xingliu spoke up, slightly excited, but he didn’t mention much about Ye Hu.

Becoming a Ye Clan member requires cooperation with a Clan Token in the Ancestral Hall to detect even a trace of Ye Family blood.

If not, one would still belong to the Ye Family Cultivators, but the distinction would be greater, with more restrictions.

For example, those with poorer Spirit Roots would be sent to the Market’s shops to do odd jobs once they reach a certain point in their training.

While those with good Spirit Roots would be matched for marriage within the family.

Even if they wanted to join a Sect, as long as they qualified, the Ye Family would willingly send them to add goodwill.

Of course, such cases were rare.

Most would start a family within the Ye Family, or serve the family at the Market, providing their descendants with a higher starting point if they had Spirit Roots in the future.

Luckily, after tests, Ye Ting, Ye Ming, and Ye Hu all had Ye Family bloodlines.

The arrangements for the three were directly handled by Ye Haiyun.

As for the other clan members, they were in the charge of an ordinary Elder from another Dao Transmission Hall.

The news about the Thunder Spirit Root was kept under wraps and did not cause a stir within the family.

For the Ye Family, as long as Ye Hu could grow to the Foundation Establishment Stage, by then, the Taiyi Sect probably wouldn’t even want him.

The first twenty years are the best time for a cultivator to develop their disposition.

This batch of Immortal Seedlings was indeed more numerous than previous cohorts. Ye Jingcheng observed and found that even in half the area, there were already thirteen people, which indicated more cultivators with Spirit Roots in other places as well.

Altogether, the new Spirit Root cultivators could number up to twenty this time.

It was the most for the Ye Family in ten years.

Additionally, this time there was a Thunder Spirit Root, a rare Abnormal Spirit Root that even the Taiyi Sect found scarce, producing only a few in a decade.

“Jingcheng, you don’t need to go to Feng County, but take a trip to Spirit Beast Valley. The clan’s Teleportation Array needs to be realigned!” Ye Xingliu spoke up again at this time.

With these words, Ye Jingcheng nodded.

He knew that the family must have acquired the Teleportation Array from the Mo Family, but he didn’t know how the family planned to relocate it!
