Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 223: Chapter 222: Farewell Between Chu Xu

Atop the mountain peak, melodious sounds of string and wind instruments wafted from within the mountain, accompanied by the ascent of spiritual mist.

The entire Lingyun Peak was covered in auspicious clouds, making it resemble an Immortal Palace.

Following the Chen Family were several Foundation Establishment Clans, including Master Jiang of Taihang Market, as well as Cyan Cloud Nunnery and other Foundation Establishment powers.

At this moment, the cultivators finally saw that for this Purple Mansion assembly held by the Ye Family, many Foundation Establishment Clans from Taichang Commandery were invited.

For example, the Ping Lake Wei Family from Taiqing Commandery, the Changyun Tang Family, and others.

As for the prestige of a Purple Mansion Clan, it could be gleaned by the forces and cultivators they invited to their ceremony.

The numerous forces invited by the Ye Family indicated their high prestige and the potential for a prosperous future.

For a newly promoted Purple Mansion Clan to invite forces from neighboring commanderies signified an impressive achievement.

The forces brought congratulatory gifts, all Tier Two Treasures, causing envy among the loose cultivators.

These gifts were seldom seen in such quantities even in auction houses.

Amidst the astonishment and admiration, everyone noticed the rows of auspicious mice carrying spirit discs, cleverly bearing a collection of spirit fruits.

Although these were Tier One Lower and Tier One Middle spirit fruits, each one required several spirit stones.

To them, these spirit fruits were not to be missed on this journey.

Loose cultivators with more modest means gifted presents and each took a spirit fruit, though they held them in hand, mindful of the numerous clan forces yet to be seated.

“Xianyun Chu Family specially gifts a Tier Two Lower Black Mulberry Tree, congratulating the Ye Family’s ancestor on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success, with a future filled with promise!”

With the Foundation Establishment Clans taking their seats, the Chu Family Patriarch Chu Xiyu stepped forward, presenting a precious Tier Two Fruit Tree.

It’s well known that a Tier Two Spirit Fruit is already rare for a family, and such a tree that consistently produces Tier Two Spirit Fruits is a treasured foundation for any clan.

As Chu Xiyu approached, Ye Xingliu greeted him.

“Patriarch Ye, my uncle has just broken through and is still consolidating, I hope your uncle won’t mind!” Chu Xiyu said.

“Brother Chu, such a grand gift leaves the Ye Family quite flattered, how could we not grasp etiquette!” Ye Xingliu laughed heartily, inviting Chu Xiyu in.

With the appearance of the Purple Mansion Clan, a Tier Two Blood Eagle soared across the sky, accompanied by exuberant drum and music.

A crimson spiritual radiance scattered, transforming into spiritual rain, covering the several clan members from the Chu Family who had arrived.

This spiritual rain, composed entirely of pure spiritual energy, converted to energy upon contact with cultivators, embedding itself within them.

The edges of this spiritual rain excited the watching loose cultivators, as it was akin to consuming spirit pills of the same tier, sans erysipelas.

The extent of the spiritual rain was quite broad.

The ability to produce spiritual rain indicated that the Ye Family was not in the plight typical of newly inducted Purple Mansion Clans.

This revelation altered many people’s impression of the Ye Family.

After the Chu Family, the Xu Family Patriarch and Mo Family Patriarch advanced together.

“Qing Liu Mo Family specially gifts a Tier Two Middle Cold Water Bead, congratulating the Ye Family’s ancestor on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success, with a promising future!”

“Tai Cang Xu Family specially gifts a Tier Two Middle Thunder-Attracting Bead, congratulating the Ye Family’s ancestor on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success, with a promising future!”

With smiles, Xu Wenchang and Mo Hongyuan were also invited by Ye Xingliu, though no Tier Two Spirit Bird or spiritual rain appeared in the sky.

The sky was conspicuously clear.

The smiles on the faces of both patriarchs froze significantly; though their Tier Two gifts were inferior to the Chu Family’s, they had grown accustomed to appreciation, and this situation was unnatural for them.

This scene didn’t go unnoticed by the other cultivators, but upon reflection, it was understandable.

After all, the Xu Family has been sanctioning the Ye Family’s pill shop operations, causing losses, and harboring remnants of the Li Family.

While the Mo Family hadn’t outright clashed with the Ye Family, their main industries being restaurants and spiritual cuisine, logically hindered the further development of the Ye Family’s spirit beast sector.

Powerful spirit beasts are already limited, with even fewer available for sale.

Conversely, spiritual cuisine and restaurants can continuously breed spirit beasts and provide spiritual cuisine meat.

Thus, the natural opposition between the Ye and Mo Families is evident, further considering the Mo and Xu’s hindrance of the Chu Family ancestor breaking through to Purple Mansion; the Chu Family being allied with the Ye Family through marriage.

It becomes evident, especially since neither patriarch attended, highlighting the nuanced relationships.

Mo Hongyuan and Xu Wenchang didn’t visibly change expressions, continuing with their respective family cultivators toward the spirit table.

Once at the spirit table, their faces turned dark and gloomy.

However, the Ye Family cared not for the expressions of the Xu and Mo Families, focusing instead on the imminent arrival of significant figures and continuing their cheers.

“Ming Yuan Ascendant along with his wife Chu Xiyu specially gifts a bottle of Tier Three Lower Celestial Heart Pills, congratulating Ye Daoist on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success!”

With this cheer, another Tier Two Blood Eagle appeared in the sky, followed by countless white cranes in its wake, with auspicious clouds spreading again, transforming into spiritual rain, larger in scale than before.

As the cultivators from the Taiyi Sect appeared, next came Supreme Taihao and Ascendant Tianzhen.

“Supreme Taihao specially gifts a Tier Three Lower Three-Star Fruit, congratulating Ye Daoist on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success!”

“Taiyi Sect’s Ascendant Tianzhen specially gifts a piece of Tier Three Lower Cold Nether Profound Iron, congratulating Ye Daoist on achieving Purple Mansion Great Success!”

Every time Purple Mansion cultivators emerge within the Yan Kingdom’s Taiyi Sect domain, they are invariably incorporated into the Taiyi Sect as outer sect stewards.

If a Golden Core True Master appears, they would become an Outer Elder of the Taiyi Sect.

This time, the Tianzhen Ascendant represented the Taiyi Sect.

The spiritual radiance in the sky presently appeared unrestrained, covering the high skies of Lingyun Peak, subsequently transforming entirely into spiritual rain that fell.

Many loose cultivators were absolutely elated by this magnificent spectacle.

For the Tianzhen Ascendant and Supreme Taihao, their expressions were also very pleased.

They were very satisfied with the respect given by the Ye family.

Meanwhile, Ye Haicheng, also wearing the Ye family Daoist robe, bowed deeply, gesturing towards the Tianzhen Ascendant in invitation.

Today, Ye Haicheng was hosting the Purple Mansion ceremony, and as the host, an ordinary Purple Mansion event could see Ye Xingliu doing the invitation.

But with the Tianzhen Ascendant representing the sect, Ye Haicheng had to appear.

“Congratulations! Another cultivator of the Purple Mansion within the domain of our Taiyi Sect!” the Tianzhen Ascendant spoke.

“I, Ye Haicheng, lacking in wisdom, took a hundred years to achieve this, making a fool of myself before Brother Tianzhen,” Ye Haicheng continuously bowed, then beckoned in invitation.

“Brother Tianzhen, Brother Taihao, this way, please.”

Under the arrangements on Lingyun Peak, the Qi Cultivation banquet naturally took place in the plaza, where ordinary tables sat.

While the Foundation Establishment cultivators were all seated in elegant pavilions.

The Purple Mansion Ascendants had pavilions on the second level, allowing them to overlook the view, with female cultivators of the Ye family standing by their side.

The hierarchy and status differences were distinctly clear.

Of course, this time, accompanying Ye Haicheng were only Supreme Taihao, Ascendant Mingyuan, and Tianzhen Ascendant, while in another second-level pavilion, Ye Jingcheng, Ye Xingliu, and Ye Jingyu were hosting the Chu, Xu, and Mo Families!

As everyone took their seats, more cultivators from the Ye family appeared; they first served the spirit cuisine and spirit wine to the pavilions, followed by more Ye family cultivators who served spirit cuisine and spirit wine to the other spirit tables.

When the spirit wine and cuisine were served, many spirit beasts followed along, and this scene showcased the unique characteristics of the Ye family, astonishing many cultivators.

Having enjoyed a few cups, Ye Haicheng also raised a cup, toasting to all the cultivators on Lingyun Peak.

“Fellow Daoists from the Yan Kingdom, Ye Haicheng here, thank you for traveling from afar to Lingyun Peak to celebrate with me. Today, I raise this cup to all of you and wish everyone a bright future on their path of cultivation!” After Ye Haicheng finished speaking, he drank it in one gulp, prompting other cultivators to raise their cups as well.

After downing a cup of spirit wine, the loose cultivators also began tasting it one by one.

Spirit wine and fruit aren’t something one can enjoy freely at any time, and in the face of the Ye family’s hospitality, though restrained, each person was still extremely eager.

At that moment, the spiritual cranes in the sky began gracefully dancing, forming spiritual characters full of auspiciousness in the sky one by one.

Their aerial performance added even more interest to the banquet.

“Elder Ye, how can a Purple Mansion ceremony lack a junior competition as a tribute? I dare to suggest having my disciple participate in a match,”

The first to propose a competition was not someone else, but the Foundation Establishment Nunnery Master of Cyan Cloud Nunnery, which caused some curiosity from the Xu Family and the Mo Family Patriarch.

Especially for the Mo Family, they believed that there should be an intricate connection between the Ye family and Cyan Cloud Nunnery.

But now, with the competition starting directly, his expression turned grim.

This disrupted their original ideas.

Furthermore, it delayed their slots.

After all, the competition at the Purple Mansion ceremony was just a supplement, with at most three or four matches.

More than that wouldn’t be a decorative competition; it would be seeking trouble.

Provoking at the Purple Mansion ceremony practically means tearing down the facade.

Thus, being caught first, their expressions were quite unnatural, and they were also concerned that the Ye family and Cyan Cloud Nunnery might have pre-arranged a well-matched showdown, which would take even more time.

On the other hand, several elders of the Taiyi Sect continued leisurely enjoying their spirit wine and tea; although the spirit cuisine was Tier Two Spirit Cuisine, they touched it very little.

In contrast, their attention was primarily focused on the peaks of Lingyun Peak.

The Ye family’s mystery had long been speculated, with rumors of treasures being present in the Ye family.

However, upon seeing it, they were somewhat disappointed, as although there were many spirit beasts in the Ye family, few were notable enough to deserve attention.

“Agreed!” Ye Haicheng, facing the decorative competition, happily agreed.

Over at Cyan Cloud Nunnery, a female Qi Cultivation disciple immediately stepped out.

On the Ye family’s side, Ye Jingtai of the Jing Generation also stepped out, both cultivators at the Qi Cultivation Eighth Layer.

“Cyan Cloud Nunnery, Nianyun, please advise!”

“Ye Jingtai from the Ye family, please advise!”

At the edge of the plaza, there was just the right space available, and both began their competition.

Ye Jingtai possessed Water, Wood, and Earth Three Spirit Roots, cultivating the Profound Wood Technique, entrapping with Wood Attribute Vine Technique, and had two spirit beasts, a Black Stone Bear, and a Black Wood Eagle.

As he presented them, everyone looked forward with anticipation.

The combat prowess of the Ye family’s spirit beasts was long reputed to be extremely sharp, and they were eager to take a closer look now.

Meanwhile, the female disciple from Cyan Cloud Nunnery, Nianyun, was not willing to be outdone in the slightest, holding a cyan sword, infused with sword light, turning out to be a sword cultivator.
