Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 121: Chapter 122: Tier One Top-Grade Alchemist

The days passed extremely quickly and peacefully.

During the day, he studied pill formulas and occasionally refined a furnace of Cyan Spirit Pill and Red Ganoderma Pill.

The Ye Family had many fire attribute cultivators and spirit beasts, so the Red Ganoderma Pill was more popular.

As for the Cyan Spirit Pill, it was more convenient at times because of its short refining time.

Earning Spirit Stones was relatively nice as well.

In his leisure time, he fed spirit beasts, watched the sunset, poured a cup of Cyan Spirit Tea, and ate one or two spiritual almonds, feeling quite fulfilled and at ease.

However, there hadn’t been news of the Poison Flower for a long time, making the Poison Needles of the ten Five Poison Bees seem to have faded slightly.

The Jade Qilin Snake, on the other hand, grew bigger day by day, with an increasingly strong aura.

Of course, this included Ye Jingcheng himself. The Red Flame Fox had significantly boosted him, and together with the advancing Golden Scale Beast, the Fire Phase and Earth Phase of the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture progressed rapidly.

He even felt that within two years, he could break through to the Qi Cultivation Eighth Layer.

In the blink of an eye, another year passed, and today Ye Jingcheng turned thirty-two.

The greenness faded somewhat, and a bit of depth was added to his brows.

On this day, Ye Jingcheng was holding a Jade Talisman and started alchemy again. However, this time he was not refining Red Ganoderma Pill or Lotus Yellow Pill.

It was a Tier One Top-Grade Spirit Cultivation Pill.

He took out the spirit medicine he had prepared early on, and before refining, input a considerable amount of Treasure Light into the Red Flame Fox.

Then, he carefully and thoroughly wiped the Cyan Elephant Furnace with a special kind of Furnace Essence.

Subsequently, the Spiritual Fire floated out, and in an instant, the Yun Furnace started.

Because refining a Tier One Top-Grade Spiritual Pill was far beyond his cultivation, this time, he used the Secondary Furnace Technique.

This Secondary Furnace Technique demanded higher Fire Control and required high observation ability from the alchemy master.

As the Spiritual Fire spread, the Cyan Elephant Furnace began to show a slight blue tint, and a series of Spirit Patterns appeared.

“Rise!” Ye Jingcheng muttered lowly, as the Red Flame Fox instantly released a higher temperature.

In an instant, the Spirit Furnace reached its extreme heat, as if a Cyan Elephant raised its hoof and roared, extraordinarily agile.

This also achieved the best state of alchemy.

Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but feel delighted, although this Secondary Furnace Technique was researched for over half a year and tested for a long time, this was the first time it approached perfection.

Even if his Fourth Grandfather came, he would probably offer some praise.

Ye Jingcheng focused his Heart Spirit and began to input the spirit medicine one by one, this time using the Three-Part Alchemy Method.

This was similar to how Ye Haiyun’s Four-Part Alchemy Method was used to refine Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Pill.

Both reduced the difficulty of Solidifying Pill, but since Ye Jingcheng couldn’t control the four parts, he reduced it to three.

And even controlling three parts made Ye Jingcheng break out in a cold sweat.

The Red Flame Fox also found it somewhat strenuous, since it was the one controlling the fire. Thankfully, the Red Flame Fox seemed to sense that it would be able to consume this Top-Grade Spirit Cultivation Pill, so it worked extra hard.

For a moment, its two tails stood upright like two torches.

Buzz!

Following the crisp sound of the pill furnace, the Cyan Elephant Furnace steadied with a jolt, and the lid flew open, revealing a Top-Grade Spirit Cultivation Pill.

“One pill!” Ye Jingcheng wasn’t surprised. This Three-Part Alchemy Method was primarily about refining over one’s tier, so the number of pills formed was indeed not many.

Ye Jingcheng stored the Spirit Cultivation Pill, then emptied the pill residue from the Cyan Elephant Furnace and placed it into a Jade Box in his Storage Bag.

At this point, the Jade Box had already accumulated a large amount of pill residue.

He planned to dump all of it when he opened a Spirit Field.

This would save a lot of Spirit Stones, and spirit medicine and spirit flowers would grow better.

Moreover, breaking through to a Tier One Top-Grade Alchemist was also considered a milestone for Ye Jingcheng.

In the family, at least in terms of alchemy skills on the surface, he should only be second to Ye Haiyun and Ye Haitian.

As for hidden alchemists, Ye Jingcheng didn’t care nor did he want to.

According to the family alchemist support policy, he could have the family help him open a Spirit Field and set up a medium-sized Spirit Gathering Array.

Furthermore, reaching a Tier One Top-Grade Alchemist gave him more confidence to refine Jade Qilin Pills for the Jade Qilin Snake in the future.

However, he still lacked two main medicines and several auxiliary medicines.

For the main medicines, Ye Jingcheng wasn’t worried about the Jade Beauty Fruit; his eldest brother was bound to trade it back.

But as for the Water Cloud Grass, it remained missing.

Among the auxiliary medicines, there were still three that were relatively rare.

Ye Jingcheng took out a Red Ganoderma Pill and handed it to the Red Flame Fox.

The Red Flame Fox chirped, its blue eyes revealing incomprehension.

It remembered it wasn’t the one refined.

“That needs to be appraised first; you’ll still be essential at that time!” Ye Jingcheng spoke helplessly.

This newly refined Spirit Cultivation Pill couldn’t be given to the Red Flame Fox to consume as usual.

But the Red Flame Fox had been stable at the Late Stage of First Tier for quite some time and could be given an elixir to make another breakthrough now!

Ye Jingcheng put away the pill furnace and went by the window to check the Jade Qilin Snake and Five Poison Bees.

The Jade Qilin Snake was still coiled, yet compared to before, having grown from eight feet to now over one and a half zhang long.

Its Spiritual Energy fluctuation was nearly at the peak of Mid-stage First Tier, ready to break through at any moment.

Especially the Jade Qilin Tail Saber, which occupied one-third, left Ye Jingcheng very satisfied.

The only downside was that the Jade Qilin Snake was too lazy. It wasn’t that he hadn’t tried training it, but it just obeyed commands without any change, except for an increased appetite.

After witnessing the Jade Qilin Snake’s combat instinct once, Ye Jingcheng stopped urging it.

At the window, there hung a beehive with ten Five Poison Bees in it.

A year later, they recovered well, but with no Poison Flower Spiritual Honey, their Poison Needles had started to pale.

Even though Ye Jingcheng fed them many Treasure Lights, the ten Five Poison Bees’ size hadn’t grown much.

Therefore, the Spirit Field and Spirit Flowers became an urgent matter.

Ye Jingcheng returned to his room and gathered some Cyan Rice Spirit Rice, a Spirit Fish, and some Cyan Spirit Tea to head toward the Alchemy Pavilion.

Being certified as a Tier One Top-Grade Alchemist was handled by the Ye Family’s Alchemy Pavilion, while opening a Spirit Field was the work of the Spirit Plant Hall.

Ye Jingcheng skillfully made his way to the Alchemy Pavilion, where Ye Haitian still sat playing with a bell.

Seeing Ye Jingcheng arrive surprised him a bit, knowing that Ye Jingcheng usually learned alchemy directly at Ye Haiyun’s place.

Selling spiritual pills and exchanging for spiritual pill materials also took place at the Treasure Pavilion.

Instead, trips to the Alchemy Pavilion had become quite infrequent.

“It’s just that your Eighth Grandfather is getting old, and for a moment, I thought I was seeing things!” Ye Haitian teased.

“Nowhere close, Eighth Grandfather, I see some Foundation Establishment cultivators don’t even look as good as you!” Ye Jingcheng replied with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Ye Haitian was a bit surprised. Given Ye Jingcheng’s previous disposition, he wasn’t like this, but after a quick thought, he looked puzzled and asked, “Have you broken through to Tier One Top-Grade Alchemist?”
