Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 110: Chapter 111: Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Pill

In the Earth Fire Room, Ye Haiyun took out the Array Banner and manipulated the array flags, making the earth fire surge even higher, illuminating the entire stone chamber in a deep crimson.

Evidently, Ye Haiyun’s alchemy room had a forbidden array that could enhance the intensity of the earth fire.

Within the stone chamber, the temperature soared instantly, causing Ye Jingcheng to turn slightly pale.

It wasn’t until the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture activated the spiritual energy of the Water Phase that he began to feel better.

Yet, Ye Haiyun remained completely still, even when allowing Ye Jingcheng to observe beside him, he rarely spoke.

In Ye Jingcheng’s memory, Ye Haiyun was always the most meticulous among the Ye Family Elders.

This time, Ye Haiyun took out a brand-new Pill Furnace, which was quite large, with four ears and four feet, its body profound, made of extraordinary material, and engraved with numerous spirit patterns unfamiliar to Ye Jingcheng.

The moment the Pill Furnace was engulfed in the flames, it showed no change at all, bringing to mind that since Ye Haiyun was refining a Tier Two Spirit Pill, this furnace was at least Tier Two.

At this moment, the beast pattern on Ye Haiyun’s arm began to manifest, revealing vast fire attribute spiritual power.

This action surprised Ye Jingcheng somewhat, as he used the spiritual power of a spirit beast to control the fire, and it seemed the beast pattern was contracted with a Tier Two Spirit Beast.

Because the Five-Inch Beast Pattern clearly started to become unstable.

Ye Jingcheng had seen this before with Ye Haiyi.

This was the result of utilizing spiritual power beyond one’s tier.

And the effect was also extremely significant; the flames on the Pill Furnace surged another level, and the furnace immediately began to glow red, with numerous spirit patterns interweaving and emerging within.

This time, Ye Haiyun did not instantly stabilize the yun furnace but rather adopted a secondary temperature increase.

A secondary temperature increase is more challenging than an instant stabilization, but it is the best method to prevent excessive stabilization of the furnace.

This technique is often used in refining pills that surpass one’s tier.

Ye Jingcheng had heard of it but never understood its intricacies.

But now it seemed that one was inner stabilization, and the other was external stabilization.

Ye Jingcheng recorded continuously with a jade talisman by his side, not daring to relax in the slightest.

He knew that both Ye Haiyun and the family intended to nurture him, but such a chance to watch the refining of a Tier Two Spirit Pill was not a frequent opportunity.

Judging by the appearance of Ye Haiyun and Ye Haiyi last time, it was estimated to have a significant physical toll.

After the Pill Furnace’s stabilization, the next step was extracting the spirit medicine. Ye Haiyun waved his hand, and more than ten stalks of spirit medicine entered the furnace simultaneously.

The temperature of the flames changed once more, as Ye Haiyun drew in more spiritual power through the beast pattern, rapidly melting the dozens of spirit medicines within the Pill Furnace.

Moreover, Ye Jingcheng noticed that each of the furnace’s feet corresponded to different spirit medicines.

And corresponded to different temperatures.

The concentration of the refined spirit liquid varied greatly.

This scene appeared extremely magical to Ye Jingcheng, which required even more powerful fire control abilities.

Evidently, Ye Jingcheng used the flame of the Red Flame Fox for alchemy, while Ye Haiyun utilized the spiritual power channeled through the beast pattern.

This novel alchemy method presented Ye Jingcheng with yet another technique to enhance his mastery of fire control.

Otherwise, relying solely on Ye Haiyun’s Nine Layers of Qi Cultivation would not be enough to control a Tier Two Pill Furnace so perfectly.

After the dozen or so spirit medicines were melted, new spirit medicines were added again.

In this manner, after three rounds of melting, Ye Haiyun seemed unable to sustain it any longer and began taking an elixir, then resumed melting.

The multitude of ingredients required for a Tier Two Elixir, with just the melting process, took two days.

All of the spirit liquid was divided into four parts according to their melting points, arranged separately at the four corners at the bottom of the furnace.

At this time, the final stage began as well.

Ye Haiyun took out a Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Fruit and placed it into the furnace, at which moment the temperature nearly reached its peak.

The Pill Furnace emitted a muffled rumble, but it did not signal a problem with the furnace but indicated a potential explosion, risking failure!

Yet Ye Haiyun showed no expression, pressing both hands, and the four portions of spirit liquid began to converge suddenly.

The highest temperature spirit liquid flowed towards the relatively cooler spirit liquid.

Although there were still muffled sounds, they did not escalate, but each gathering was perfectly timed, with temperatures neither too high nor too low.

Finally, the four types of spirit liquids merged together, and the Pill Furnace began to spin rapidly!

After an uncertain amount of time, the furnace lid seemed unable to withstand the immense heat, flying off first, revealing two pills inside, still somewhat dimpled, continually supplemented by spirit liquid.

The final flame converged and lowered rapidly, and the two Barrier-Breaking Pills were fully formed.

The pills flew out and landed in Ye Haiyun’s hand, gleaming with dazzling spiritual luster.

Only then did the fire cease.

These Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Pills could eliminate the bottleneck of Foundation Establishment cultivators, meaning Ye Xingliu could soon break through to the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment.

Ye Haiyun pointed the Pill Furnace towards Ye Jingcheng, sending it flying to him.

Ye Jingcheng immediately understood what it meant and began cleaning and wiping the Pill Furnace.

At this moment, the furnace was still extremely hot, but it was also the best time to examine the residue as only two pills had been formed, meaning there was naturally pill residue inside.

There were four little piles of pill residue at the base of the furnace, two areas had formed a crust-like existence.

“This method of solidifying the pill, called the Four-Part Alchemy Method, can significantly reduce the chances of explosion during extraction and solidification!”

“At the same time, if refining pills that you cannot control, the residue will also form a layer of protection!”

“The necessary abandonment increases the chances of pill formation and is more important than ensuring the number of pills.”

…

Ye Haiyun walked over and began explaining to Ye Jingcheng, recounting each of the previous steps to him in detail.

At this moment, Ye Jingcheng had just finished watching the Tier Two alchemy process and gained a great deal, Ye Haiyun explained it again, combining it with the previous explanation.

It was vivid and graphic.

Letting Ye Jingcheng gain a lot, even at this moment, he had basically grasped the pill formula for the Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Pill.

Of course, even if Ye Haiyun explained it again.

There were still many doubts.

Ye Jingcheng was not the least bit reserved and started to ask questions one by one, and Ye Haiyun explained every answer in depth, from shallow to deep.

After a series of inquiries, Ye Jingcheng gained a great deal.

Whether it was the Secondary Furnace Technique or the Four-Part Alchemy Method, they were obviously very secret inheritances of the Ye Family.

After Ye Jingcheng digested them, a long time passed, and the jade talisman in his hand was filled densely with notes.

“Thank you very much, Fourth Grandpa. I will crush this jade talisman in one day!” Ye Jingcheng bowed in salute, expressing sincere gratitude to Ye Haiyun.

Ye Haiyun’s body seemed even more wrinkled and aged under the roasting flame.

But at this moment, his eyes were full of relief.

“Jingcheng, you have a great talent for alchemy, and you have a steady temperament, so don’t be blinded by the pressure of the spirit beasts!” Ye Haiyun spoke again.

Obviously, he also knew why Ye Jingcheng came to the Alchemy Pavilion.

He also understood the drawbacks of Ye Jingcheng using spirit beasts for refining fire.

Ye Jingcheng estimated that four years ago, when he handed over the method of using spirit beasts for alchemy, the family alchemists were already researching it.

And the research results were obviously better than his own aimless tinkering.

His only advantage lay in his ability to enhance the bloodline of the demon beasts and restore their injuries and spiritual power.

This was indeed his greatest advantage in using spirit beasts for alchemy.

“These are the most important alchemy techniques of the family’s alchemy heritage, take them for your research!” Ye Haiyun took out a jade talisman.

“Additionally, if not in seclusion, come to the Alchemy Pavilion at least once every three months, barring any unexpected events, I’ll be here.”

Ye Jingcheng was a bit stunned to hear this, but then he nodded repeatedly.

Ye Haiyun had already taught him to refine Tier Two pills, clearly already considering him a successor, and they both shared the bloodline of the Ye Clan.

However, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Ye Haiyun was entrusting something to him.

“I hope that before the family fully becomes a Purple Mansion Clan, you can refine a true Tier Two Elixir!” Ye Haiyun spoke again.

This time, it provided Ye Jingcheng with significant information.

“Fourth Grandpa, is Grandfather breaking through?” Ye Jingcheng thought of when Li Yulan from the Li Family sought Ye Haicheng and couldn’t help but ask.

In the Cultivation Realm, whether a family becomes a Purple Mansion Clan is not determined by having Purple Mansion combat power, but by having a Purple Mansion cultivator.

After all, many Purple Mansion Clans have the heritage of the Purple Mansion, spirit puppets, or clan guardian spirit beasts, but without new Purple Mansion cultivators, they will fall to Foundation Establishment Clans.

But after asking, Ye Jingcheng regretted it a bit.

Such confidential matters were not something he should have presumptuously asked about.

However, Ye Haiyun surprisingly nodded.

“Cultivate diligently, last time Taiyi Sect gathered so many alchemy masters and artifact refiners, not just one Jade Dragon Valley can fill their appetite!” Ye Haiyun’s words were filled with worry.

These words seemed to be spoken to Ye Jingcheng, yet also to himself.

Ye Jingcheng did not continue to inquire, took out spirit tea, and began brewing it.

After brewing, he carefully poured a cup for Ye Haiyun.

After finishing these tasks, he began to clean the alchemy room thoroughly, ensuring no mess remained.

Ye Jingcheng bowed respectfully to Ye Haiyun once more.

“Fourth Grandpa, grandson needs to return to his own courtyard to feed the spirit beasts!”

Ye Haiyun also nodded.

Ye Jingcheng then exited the alchemy room. Since he refined a Tier Two Barrier-Breaking Pill, it could be imagined how exhausted Ye Haiyun was at this moment, and naturally, he couldn’t stay there and continue disturbing him.

Otherwise, it would be quite inconsiderate.

Just after leaving the alchemy room, Ye Jingcheng saw Ye Haitian still sitting on the master’s chair, and a new round of rental for alchemy in the room began.

So at this moment, Ye Haitian occasionally looked at the sky outside and the bell, appearing a bit leisurely.

“Thank you, Grandpa Nine, for your care!” Ye Jingcheng stepped forward to pour tea for Ye Haitian.

He understood that without Ye Haitian’s care, he would have missed many opportunities.

Previously, Ye Haitian reminded him on how to wait for Ye Haiyun, later taught him to go directly inside to learn, and now he made him a lecturer, giving him a chance to showcase himself in front of Ye Haiyun.

Although without Ye Haitian, when his alchemy skill improves a bit more, he could still take over the family’s alchemy inheritance.

But now, it allowed his path to be quicker and more stable.

“This is the result of your own hard work, the old man didn’t really help you?” Ye Haitian didn’t fully admit.

Ye Jingcheng did not continue to ask, respectfully finished pouring tea, but planned to go to Taihang Market next time and buy better spirit tea.

This Cyan Spirit Tea, although good and not cheap, was relatively still at an entry-level.

Now, returning to his own courtyard, he had the confidence to improve his alchemy skill a bit more, transitioning from profiting with Cyan Spirit Pill to making profit with Lotus Yellow Pill and Red Ganoderma Pill.

As long as he could make five or six pills, they would far surpass what he had done before.

Of course, he must hurry and fully master the pill formula inheritance.

Then, he remembered the advancement spirit pill for the Jade Qilin Snake named Jade Qilin Pill, which absolutely belonged to the Tier One Top-Grade Spirit Pill. As long as he gathered enough spirit medicine, he could try using the Secondary Furnace Technique and the Four-Part Alchemy Method.
