Apocalyptic Disaster: The King of Soldiers' Ultimate Pampering

74: Chapter 74 This dog carries the zombie virus”Ah Huang is a very good dog, I like him a lot too.”

”What does Ah Huang’s interview involve?” Ye Qingqing pulled the unruly Ah Huang back and asked Zuo Yuxing.

”Actually, it’s quite simple, just some standard military dog tests.”

”First is obedience testing, then scent detection, physical fitness, environmental adaptability, and finally, stability.”

As a dog with awakened intelligence, Ah Huang felt quite smug upon hearing these tests; for him, this was a piece of cake.

Moreover, Lu Huan had taught Ah Huang all these things before. Hearing them now was like a master entering a beginner’s village.

It was something easily accomplished.

”Then let’s start now. Ah Huang looks quite smart; he can set a good example for the Volunteer Dogs coming for interviews later.”

As Zuo Yuxing said this, a smile graced his face.

”Alright,” Ye Qingqing replied with a smile.

Even Ye Qingqing herself hadn’t noticed that whenever she spoke with Zuo Yuxing, a smile would unconsciously appear at the corner of her mouth.

Huo Siyan, hiding in the shadows nearby with binoculars, clenched his fists tightly.

Ye Qingqing never smiled this much when talking to him.

But it changed when it came to Zuo Yuxing.

Huo Siyan felt so jealous it made his teeth itch, but there was nothing he could do.

”Boss, someone’s coming,” reported Kong Ziyi, who had come to alert him, arriving in a hurry.

He urgently urged Huo Siyan.

”Boss, hurry up! Xu Yousheng’s people will be here soon.”

Kong Ziyi spoke while exclaiming, ”If I’d known it would be like this, why did you have to go through all that trouble back then?”

”If you ask me, the way you are now, it would have been better if you’d just admitted you knew Ye Qingqing from the start. Then you wouldn’t have to be so sneaky now, secretly watching Ye Qingqing with another man and stewing in jealousy here.”

Huo Siyan put away the binoculars, his expression not good. Without a word, he took a long stride and left.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Ah Huang was looking at Zuo Yuxing with great excitement, waiting for his first command.

”Sit, stand, turn around, lie down...”

These were the simplest commands.

As long as owners usually say these to their dogs often, most dogs can understand them.

The difficulty lay in what came next.

Zuo Yuxing placed several buckets nearby, each containing items with different scents.

Ah Huang’s ears were pricked sharply, just waiting for Zuo Yuxing’s order to begin.

”Ammunition.”

Upon hearing Zuo Yuxing’s words, Ah Huang immediately sprang into action, darting straight to the bucket containing ammunition.

He lifted his paw and pointed at it.

”Food.”

Ah Huang, having just pointed at the ammunition in front of him, immediately went to find the bucket with food.

All of this relied on scent, as the items in the buckets were tightly wrapped. Ah Huang, being a dog, did not have X-ray vision.

In fact, up until now, Ye Qingqing only knew that Ah Huang’s intelligence was a bit higher and his strength a bit greater.

However, what Ah Huang’s specific capabilities were, Ye Qingqing still didn’t know clearly.

Watching Zuo Yuxing’s commands now, Ye Qingqing suddenly realized that Ah Huang was far stronger than she had imagined.

Especially when Zuo Yuxing commanded Ah Huang to climb a pole using his mouth and paws.

It was then that Ye Qingqing knew that Ah Huang had indeed become much more capable than before.

Even the other dogs, upon seeing Ah Huang like this, looked on with curiosity.

In their eyes, there was even a trace of admiration.

The way they looked at Ah Huang was like looking at an elder brother figure.

After completing a series of tests, Ah Huang still appeared calm and composed.

He even wagged his tail and rubbed against Ye Qingqing, putting on a proud, ”See! I did it!” expression.

Ye Qingqing was naturally happy too. She crouched down, patted Ah Huang’s head, and even planted a big kiss on his forehead.

Ah Huang felt extremely proud inside, and the speed of his tail wagging increased even more.

It seemed as if in the next second, Ah Huang would soar into the sky like a helicopter.

”Congratulations, Ah Huang, for passing the test and officially becoming a member of the Volunteer Dogs.”

Today was just testing for Ah Huang; he didn’t need to participate in formal training yet.

But there wasn’t much else to do on the Training Ground either.

So when Ye Qingqing went for training, Ah Huang followed along.

When Ye Qingqing ran, he also ran at the back of the group. However, a dog’s stamina is much better than a human’s.

When the team Ye Qingqing was in was already panting and out of breath, Ah Huang still looked perfectly calm and leisurely.

Several people training with Ye Qingqing couldn’t help but praise Ah Huang: ”Your dog’s physical fitness is so good.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Qingqing just smiled slightly and didn’t answer much.

In fact, a trace of worry gradually surfaced in her heart.

Was Ah Huang this formidable before?

But it seemed like overnight, Ah Huang suddenly changed, with his physical fitness and intelligence greatly enhanced.

Previously, Ye Qingqing just thought this was normal animal mutation.

She didn’t pay it much mind.

But upon seeing that other animals on the Warship did not exhibit such significant physical and intellectual mutations like Ah Huang,

and that many dogs didn’t even pass the initial few tests,

Ye Qingqing couldn’t help but feel a surge of worry.

Fortunately, there were a few others who, like Ah Huang, passed the tests.

But the elimination rate was still high. For some reason, Ye Qingqing felt a sense of foreboding.

This worry persisted until Xu Xueke appeared, finally grounding Ye Qingqing’s suspended anxiety.

Just as she had anticipated, Ah Huang’s abnormality had aroused others’ suspicion.

”Yes, it’s this dog,” Xu Xueke said. Her manner of appearance today was the same as before.

She was dressed very lavishly.

Completely different from the group of Volunteers training and sweating profusely around her.

Xu Xueke wore a long white dress today, making her appear as pure as a lotus rising from clear water.

Of course, if one could ignore the malicious expression on her face, she really could be considered a lotus emerging from the water.

Hearing Xu Xueke’s words, Ye Qingqing slightly furrowed her brows. Could the dog Xu Xueke was talking about be Ah Huang?

Just as this doubt arose in Ye Qingqing’s heart, Xu Xueke brought people over to Ah Huang’s side.

”Ye Qingqing, we now suspect this dog is carrying the zombie virus, so this dog needs to come with us for an investigation.”

Upon hearing Xu Xueke’s words, a cold laugh rose in Ye Qingqing’s heart.

She had been wondering why Xu Xueke had been so quiet lately.

Today, during the volunteer dog testing, wasn’t Xu Xueke just starting to cause trouble?
