Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1065: Chapter 1069: Without Becoming Arrogant Despite Favor

Xia Qingqian was dazed for a while, and only after a long time did she tremble as she opened the medical kit to treat herself. Beitang Yao stood there all the while, quietly watching her.

”Xia Qingqian! Do you really like treating my words as if they mean nothing? Do my words truly hold no power over you at all?” His face, which had momentarily softened, suddenly turned cold and stern. He absolutely would not permit anyone to defy his orders or take his words lightly. ”Is this because you’re spoiled and arrogant, or do you really think you’re something special?”

”I’m not spoiled and arrogant, and I’ve never thought of myself as anything special.” After taking care of herself, Xia Qingqian closed the medical kit. The faint scent of disinfectant lingered in the air; it wasn’t very pungent, but it wasn’t pleasant either.

Her voice, like the disinfectant, poured into his ears and filled his nostrils. Her stubbornness left him frustrated. What kind of woman was she, after all? Was she a fickle woman, or one full of scheming?

”You’d better remember your identity and don’t make me repeat what I’ve just said. Next time, the consequences won’t be just a simple punishment!” His icy gaze was menacing, with a flicker of unfathomable shadows that vanished as quickly as they came.

Listening to Beitang Yao’s detached tone and those reminders, Xia Qingqian’s heart felt a deep discomfort. She didn’t know why, but her mood was unsettled.

”There’s medicine in the kit, remember to take it.”

At the mention of medicine, Xia Qingqian’s face instantly turned pale. Her eyes grew dim, and with a trembling voice, she weakly asked, ”Young Master, no matter where it is next time, can you use protection?” She was truly afraid of taking medicine; whenever she took contraceptive pills, she would have a reaction, vomiting endlessly, as though her stomach was being emptied out completely.

”Take the medicine right now!” Beitang Yao handed her a cup of warm water, then forcibly opened the medical kit and took out contraceptive pills, pressing them into her hand. ”Now!” He didn’t want her to get pregnant by accident; she wasn’t qualified to bear his child yet! Besides, if it really happened, getting rid of it would be harmful to her body and would also affect his enjoyment!

Xia Qingqian frowned at the pills in her palm and, after giving Beitang Yao a resentful glance, closed her eyes and swallowed them! But the next moment, she jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom, throwing up beside the toilet.

Her vomiting attracted his attention. He watched her move to the bathroom like a gust of wind, her face pale with greenish hues. Immediately concerned, he followed her, pushing open the bathroom door to see her frail figure, and a sense of distress filled his heart.

He walked over, grabbed her soft hair, and pulled her up, frowning as he asked, ”What are you doing? Why are you throwing up?” He wanted to know the reason.

Xia Qingqian’s eyes were unfocused, as if she couldn’t see the objects in front of her. She only felt dizzy, and combined with the recent vomiting, it was truly killing her.

Her body went limp, leaning entirely on Beitang Yao. He reached out to catch her, then carried her out of the bathroom, placing her back on the bed.

Seeing her vomiting for no apparent reason, Beitang Yao felt a trace of worry. He called Ye Feng up to check if she was pregnant.
