Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1052: Chapter 1056: The Young Master Stayed Because of You

Xia Qingqian felt Beitang Yao’s gentle actions lingering around her heart, and she tried hard to calm her breathing, making it so steady that no one would notice any movement, making people think she was truly asleep.

Only when Beitang Yao held her again, listening to his breath above her head, she completely relaxed her body, breathing in sync with him, and drowsiness slowly took over her.

She fell asleep with a smile on her lips and had an incredibly sweet dream.

Actually, even Beitang Yao himself found it unbelievable that he was able to hold her and sleep peacefully, without waking up the whole night, which was a feeling he had never experienced before. Since his mother’s passing, every night had been sleepless for him.

Even when with Shen Youran, his sleep was not sound, yet every time he slept with Xia Qingqian, although they were exhausted after every passionate encounter and fell asleep separately, he slept more peacefully than ever.

Watching her fall asleep, feeling her breath, sensing her pulse, all of this brought more peace than anything else could.

The next day, when she woke up, Xia Qingqian felt sore all over, as if she had done intense exercise, making her extremely uncomfortable. However, the space beside her was empty, and when she looked up, the large room was devoid of his presence. A wave of disappointment surged in her heart.

”Miss Qing Qian, you’re awake? Young Master and Ye Feng have already gone to the company, and I’ve been asked to serve you breakfast.” Maria knocked on the door and entered, speaking to the just-awakened Xia Qingqian.

”What?! Young Master has already gone to the company?” Xia Qingqian hurriedly got out of bed to put on her shoes, intending to wash up and report to the company.

If she was reprimanded by Beitang Yao for oversleeping, she truly wouldn’t be able to justify herself. That bastard didn’t even wake her up, was he deliberately trying to catch her mistake to have a reason to punish her? Frankly, he didn’t need to do this, it’s not fair at all.

Watching Xia Qingqian’s hurried actions, Maria added, ”Miss Qing Qian, Young Master said you’re on leave today, you don’t have to go to work.”

”Maria, did I hear that right? There’s a lot to be done these days at the UK branch of the company.” Xia Qingqian turned back, puzzled, to look at Maria, who was tidying the beddings, frowning as she asked, ”Why did he suddenly give me a day off?”

This definitely wasn’t Young Master’s intention; he must be trying to trick her, give her an unwarranted guilt. Beitang Yao, you bastard, cunning bastard!

She secretly cursed Beitang Yao a thousand times in her heart to relieve her resentment!

”Miss Qing Qian...” After folding the quilt, Maria stood up, walked toward Xia Qingqian and said with a smile, ”Miss Qing Qian, actually Young Master stayed because of you.” Though Maria was a maid, she felt obliged to help clear Young Master’s name since she saw a trace of anger and resentment in Xia Qingqian’s eyes.

”Ah? What did you say?!” Xia Qingqian could hardly believe her ears, Beitang Yao stayed in the United Kingdom because of her? Didn’t he intend for her to never meet any other man?

He didn’t know that staying here would only increase her longing for Qiao Zhenyu, didn’t he?

”Young Master prolonged his stay because of Miss Qing Qian; actually, if you think about it, it’s quite clear. Young Master’s enterprise spans the globe, and usually he doesn’t need to personally inspect and supervise everywhere. He has many capable subordinates; why would he stay in the UK, you know better than us.” Maria watched Xia Qingqian with a sly smile, capturing her expression in her eyes.
