Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 859: Chapter 861: Remember the Contract Between You and the Young Master

Beitang Yao placed the towel on the lounge chair and sat down at the stone table, ”If she makes any moves, report back in full detail.”

He wanted to see exactly what kind of unspeakable secret she had with Nancy?

”Yes.” Ye Feng bowed slightly, having already taken the young master’s words to heart.

Seeing that the young master had no other instructions, Ye Feng automatically retreated.

The next day, at eleven in the morning, the sunlight was a bit stifling, but Xia Qingqian was immersed in excitement, completely oblivious to the burning pain of the scorching sun on her skin.

There was still about half an hour before the flight Nancy was on would arrive. Yet, she was already standing impatiently in the waiting area, her eyes fixed on the passing crowd, as if searching for that familiar figure in the sea of faces.

Time seemed to pass so slowly, as if a century had gone by. She anxiously watched the watch on her wrist, with each passing second getting closer to her hope.

”Miss Xia, are you an old acquaintance of Mr. Nan?” The young master’s instructions still floated in his mind, and now it seemed that Xia Qingqian was even more nervous about this reception than he was.

What exactly was the unspeakable relationship between her and Nancy?

And why was the young master concerned about this issue?

Nancy, he has returned. Four years ago, it was unknown why he chose to leave, but the young master respected his decision. Now, he is back...

Xia Qingqian revealed a slight smile at the corner of her mouth, ”Night Wind Housekeeper, I’ve never received anyone at the airport, so I’m just excited, please don’t mind.” Her cheeks blushed slightly.

”Miss Xia, no matter what kind of relationship you have with Nancy, you must remember the contract with the young master. Offending the young master would have unimaginable consequences.” Ye Feng gently reminded her; the young master tolerates no betrayal.

Especially since Xia Qingqian and the young master have a complicated contract, the young master would not permit such things to happen. As the housekeeper of the Beitang Family, he hoped even more that the young master would not suffer any harm.

”Night Wind Housekeeper, I understand my position. Mr. Nan resembles an old friend of mine, so I just wish to clarify some matters.” Under the sincere gaze of Ye Feng, she hesitantly voiced her inner thoughts.

”We grew up together in an orphanage; there are many people in this world who look alike, it’s not unusual.” By this, Ye Feng meant that they had never actually met her.

”Night Wind Housekeeper, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up your past.” Xia Qingqian apologized.

”It’s nothing, who doesn’t have a past? We did grow up in an orphanage; there’s nothing shameful about it. We are actually fortunate to have grown up there because we could meet such generous people as the master. He nurtured us into adults, cared for us more than our biological parents did.” Usually reticent, Ye Feng suddenly said so much in one breath.

Having been ruthlessly abandoned by their families in the orphanage, they dared not speculate why their families were so heartless in leaving them. Nor could they understand their reasons; was it their only choice? They too had the right to live under the protection of their parents, yet from birth, they were destined to be abandoned.

And they owed gratitude to their adoptive parents; they remembered the master’s words in their hearts.
